I find with their early stuff I just can but everything from their self titled album I really enjoy. Matt's voice can be a bit off at times but other then that you can't deny how insane of a lead player Syn is
Literally every song on city of evil is great,self titled is good too but it does have ones or two songs that are kinda average
still matt's one of the most technically skilled and versatile singers of modern metal/rock. yes, his nasalized voice is not for everyone, but u can't deny it
matt's voice is only dodgy on the first record, all the albums from WTF onwards matt is fantastic and one of the most versatile and technically skilled metal vocalists.
If you take requests, you should for sure play Doing time off hail to the king record if you havnt already it has a bitchin' groove to it I learned how to play it last week.

@@Chainbrain I'll for sure have to check you out man! And a very good job on the intro for hail to the king dude for a sightread. It took me a day off work to get it so for you to get 2/3 of the notes on the first try is pretty sick. And yes as you mentioned its once of those where you have to sit down and just work on it. I actually have to practice it for a few minutes before I can jam along. Anyhow, wonderful playing 🤘🤘

Yeah this was not charted well. For some reason nobody knows how to play the clean legato bridge. I haven't seen any tabs or charts do this well. I learned it by ear pretty easily so idk why nobody can play it how it is. They nail the solos (which I certainly can't play) but the legato bridge is never correct. Weird. Also the dissonance at the end is strummed together, not bent alternatively, wtf.
Great playthrough as always! Although it hurt my soul to hear you say there's way better music out there during arguably their best song. I'm not disagreeing and chat was asking for it, but it still hurt lol.

Fun fact about my channel:
A total of 68 Content ID Claims have been fired my way.
I lost 2, deleted those videos, and won the remaining 66......
Guess where the 2 that I lost came from.....
They came from RUclips, or Ad Rev for the 3rd Party in this case.
Another out of the 68 claims came from an actual person, well I won that case.
4 out of the 68 claims came from Bandi Namco, the publishers, and developers of Ace Combat.
4 more came from the UMPG, they lost those cases.
The remaining 57 claims came from Square Enix.......
Yeah........, Square Enix........., This Content ID claim system that RUclips has implemented has hurt more channels.

@@Chainbrain is it? I get the whole “it doesn’t have any solos argument” but the songs are insanely heavy, the riffs are good, the snare sucks but everything else wasn’t bad. Nothing else matters is boring, so is the unforgiven, every song on the black album except the memory remains through the never and the struggle within are boring songs to fall asleep to
