Meeman Shelby campground is a Tennessee State Park nearby. Great place to stay if you're intending to camp and visit memphis. Don't forget the stax museum and of course Graceland and Sun records. And by far and large the best barbecue in Memphis is at the barbecue shop just off of Beale street. Can't go wrong.
It’s very famous but many people don’t visit because Memphis is really far from most of the population in the USA. It’s sort of out in the middle of nowhere next to Arkansas and anything near Arkansas is almost like traveling to Kansas
