You are so much more advanced than I am on a computer. I still design on graph paper and then transfer it to poster paper. I then trace around the patterns on wood using a red pen. For me red ink is very easy to see against a black blade. Especially with a lighted magnifier.I do very little fret work. I don't design fret work patterns. You designed a very nice pattern. I enjoyed seeing your process! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product. Take care!
Thanks. There are always different ways to create on gimp but this is my way. I haven’t quite got a handle on Ink scape but I do use it from time to time.

I planned on putting a png or pdf file of my pattern here but am unable to do so. Hopefully I'll figure that out soon and will post it.
