    One of the best Affinity Designer tutorials there is. Explained and demonstrated clearly, easy to follow and done at the right pace. This should be obligatory viewing for a whole host of RUclips presenters trying to teach the same thing.

    I downloaded Affinity in November and took hours finding my way around, then i found this. What can i say..... i mean i don't usually see a video through to the end but this has been easy, pleasant, enjoyable watching. Its precise and informative, each section is easily explained with out going off on a tangent, demonstrated efficiently. Probably the only video ever to keep me engaged. This was easy to follow with many OMG really moments. Great Job on this and thank you so much.

    Migrating from Adobe has been a lot harder than I originally thought. I've watched a lot of online tutorials and I have to say that this is one of the best, if not THE best. I first thought that the 5 hour run time was going to be too much to take in. But each segment is short, concise, and easy to follow. I now have a much better understanding of many of the features that had me baffled. Once I'm through with this tutorial, I'll definitely take a deeper dive into the other courses offered by ArtistWright. Keep up the great work!

      Sorry if my previous note wasn't clear enough... You already have the section where you talk about "Clipping vs Masking" (1:04:35) but it's not marked as chapter in this RUclips video. Maybe you just forgot to list it in the time stamps of your description or mark it as chapter when uploading this course. Just noticed it because after watching the entire video I wanted to jump back to this section and couldn't find it anymore.

    But hey, are we also gonna get a comprehensive guide for Affinity Photo?🤔🤔
    Am I asking for too much?🤔🤔

    3:19:49 - What if I want the stroke included in the gradient? IE I've made a heavier version of the font with the stroke but now when i add a gradient it ignores the stroke:(

    • @ArtistWright
      @ArtistWright  3 месяца назад +1

      In the context tool bar when in the gradient tool you can choose stroke or fill

      @@ArtistWright OK thanks I'll try, I'm new to Affinity, in illustrator you could delete the old inner lines making it one thicker solid object. I'm now back at the start learning this as Adobe blocked usage, I think many are now leaving and moving to Affinity. Like going to Davinci Resolve from After Effects. Your videos are very good and clear, I have subscribed.

    • @ArtistWright
      @ArtistWright  3 месяца назад +1

      @@LOGOASSASSIN yeah alot of people are making the switch that's for sure. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by deleting the inner lines but you can just set the fill to none and keep the stroke outline. You can also expand the stroke.

    Is it possible that the Basic brush set is not available in the trial? I am using the trial of version 2.5.5 to see if I like Affinity Designer before purchasing it. I have about 11 brushes sets, but no Basic set.

    • @ArtistWright
      @ArtistWright  2 месяца назад +1

      To create a border around a rectangle exactly 12mm apart you can make a duplicate of the rectangle, then tap on the contour tool, set it to minus 12mm in the context tool bar (if you want the new rectangle on the inside) now tap on bake appearance. Ofcourse your document units should be in mm (document setup) before you do the steps above.
