I'm not really into Satan or a devil worshiper or whatever ... But holy hell this music is beautiful and full of passion. One of the most fantastic compositions I have ever heard. I like how you can hear an actual melody behind the lead vocals. Amazing!
Same here, i dont relate to Nergal's love for Satan or burning children in the name of Moloch but whats amazing about this song aside from how well the music is structured is how well his love letter to Satan is written. He speaks of draining the waters of Styx, the only barrier between our world and the land of the dead while extinguishing all of the stars leaving the world in darkness as chaos reigns upon the earth. He basically describes the end of the world as a beautiful thing in the name of Luficer. And again musically the perfomance is fantastic from the heavy force of the percussion and strings matched only by Nergals voice and the twisted melodies running rampant throughout.
@@VivisectorBandEn realidad estúbe investigando y Behemoth no son satanicos sinó satanistas simbolicos, osea que no aman a satanas sino que lo utilizan como simbolo de su reachazo a la religion cristiana.
@@AndresSanchez-pd8pj That's not correct at all. I can't speak for the others but Nergal is an outright metaphysical Satanist, he doesn't just use Satanic symbolism to protest Christianity.
As someone who has overlooked The Satanist for so long, I must admit that this video compelled me to go and listen to the album. This track is amazing, if the whole album is as magnificent as this track, I guess I can finally understand all the praise it got
So, I listen to hundreds of metal albums, but I never gave Behemoth that much of a chance. I had always admired Nergal and his charisma as he seems like a very nice guy. However, the more I find myself listening to Black metal or metal that incorporates lots of blackened influences like this, I am falling in love with the atmosphere and the pure belief behind these lyrics and the music, regardless of how I feel on the topic. Amazing song all around
I’m not sure if they even actually believe in the Devil, or if it’s all just theatrics. But yet they still sound so much more passionate and reverent than dull church choirs.

@@moonman908 You didn't understand this song because you're still in the Abrahamic paradigm. Why do you think you need to sacrifice anything for what is freely given to you? The goat only refers to someone and also to another age. And it doesn't appear in the song but just in the video. It's a decoy to hide the message. Think about the lyrics. The Sun, Satan the opposite and the father. What does this mean? What is missing? What has been hidden for centuries? What has become a ghost in the religion that our enemies have imposed on us? They tell us the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. But the spirit of what? It is the mother. She is the one they took from us. So we have Father Satan Sun. And Mother Earth. What happens then? The magnetic and gravitational fields of the Sun and Earth interact. Their friction causes them to slow down and create matter. We also have the production of light and heat. This is how we were created. This song explains it to you and at the end of the song we understand that everything is connected and that what is above is below. Which means that we too are creators. "Spin the wheel", it means spin the main magnetic field of our souls to strengthen its power . Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
Jesus is the only way to be saved. Can you pray this with me Lord Jesus I believe I am a sinner and I believe you have paid for my sins. I accept you as my lord and savior please come into my life and change me amen,
The symbolism in this video is intense. The representation of "Satanic" or Luciferian figures throughout different cultures, interacting spiritually, is wonderful, although I'm unsure on the recognition of some of them. I recognise Prometheus and Odin, but the woman is perhaps Oya from the Orishas? And I would guess that Orion is supposed to be Iblis, Ahriman, or perhaps Satan himself?
"Satan himself?" I don't believe that satan is one person. It just comes from a Greek word satanas, and it means something like hostile opponent or adversary. Christ himself said to Peter, "get behind be satan." So, there are many satans.
Well, it comes from Hebrew HaSatan, meaning "The accuser" or "The adversary," used in context in the Bible, an angel seemingly created by Yahweh for the purpose of testing others. Satanas is an extension of that origin occurring later, and he is used in the New Testament as a direct figure who tempts Yeshua on the Mount of Temptation, bearing the same name as the angel from the Hebrew bible. But as a literary figure, he has taken on many different purposes, his earliest post-Church evolution seemingly occurring in John Milton's Paradise Lost, in which he is a tragic figure who was punished for loving Man. Something of a Prometheus analogue, I'd imagine.
in Hebrew it is #7854 in Strong's concordance. That is what I said, though, it refers to the adversary. There are many adversaries, and in the Bible it refers to many different people at different times, not some demon in particular. The satan that tempted Christ, I believe was a man. They are all around us now.
I think Orion with the wings at 2:52 mark is... Icarus. Then, we see the sun. The first part with the river is Charon and the Styx. No idea about the ritual part ;)
I effing hate it that I can leave only one like on this video. At this point (during the years) I'm probably at 200+ views cuz of the song in itself and the video (which is my very favorite Behemoth vid of all time - so far). So Hell Effing Yeah to this masterpiece! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

A lot of comments say "uhhh that's evil, that's Satanic", and doesn't seem to be really on point: this video is surely a praise to Satan, but I think that everyone with two working brain cells agrees with the message, which I think is "knowledge is good, ignorance is not". I would like to give a more fair perspective on the song and on the visuals, since they revolve around the mythologic Greek Titan Prometheus, who as a scientist, an atheist and an ancient greek nerd, I deeply love. So be aware, wall of text ahead. Prometheus is a Titan in Greek pantheon (pan = all, theon = gods), brother of Epimetheus: he's the personification of human reason. In ancient Greek, the word promanthano means "to know beforehand" (aka deducting), as opposed to the word epimanthano that means "to know afterhand" (aka remembering). The myth tells us that Zeus charged Prometheus and Epimetheus to create the human race, and he allowed to give humans some gifts: Epimetheus gave them the ability to remember, and Prometheus gave them the ability to think. Zeus, who feared humans, wasn't happy about the latter: since he thought that if humans could become smart they could, ultimately, overthrow the gods, he scolded Prometheus because his gift was too powerful and his actions endangered the ruling that gods had over all things created. But Prometheus wasn't happy either: he gave humans the ability to think, but he also saw that humans died of hunger and cold, and since Prometheus saw humans as his children, he was in pain: he couldn't ignore that his beloved children suffered from cold and hunger like animals. Alas, he decided to stole a piece of the sun itself in the form of fire from Helios' chariot (some versions of the myth say that he stole fire from Hephaestus' kiln, but I prefer the sun version) and gave it to his children, so they could use it to cook food and be warm. But Zeus, who already feared humans, was terrified: humans became a threat, and that's was Prometheus' fault. Zeus then procedeed to punish Prometheus for his love for mankind: he tied him to a rock, exposed him to the elements, and devised a punishment: during the day, an eagle would tear apart his torso and would eat his liver, while at night Prometheus' liver would grow again, condemning Prometheus to eternal pain. And that's the story of Prometheus (yeah I know, some greek tragedians continued the story, but their works aren't really myths). What does it all mean? First of all, that means that knowledge is pain: the excruciating pain to witness human stupidity (hello global warming, hello wars, hello slavery, hello racism) is neverending and hurts reasoning. Secondly, and most importantly, the myth exemplifies the human condition: people live in a world where the ones above them (Zeus, God, rulers) want to put them in shackles because they fear they would lose their primacy, and the only way for humankind to survive and to improve themselves is reason (Prometheus, Satan, intelligence). And that's why Prometheus is closely related to Satan: modern satanism states, among other things, that Satan loves us, he gave us the light of reason (aka Lucifer, from the latin words lux = light and fero = bring), he gave us all the tools we need to find our way into the world and, ultimately, he gave us the tools to rebel against the tyrant that wants us unaware and docile like sheeps (aka the christian God, that sent humanity to live in Eden like a flock of sheeps unaware, as opposed to Satan that wants us to think with our own minds like goats). That's a common concept of all Mediterranean cultures: even the word for God in neoromance languages comes from the word Zeus (Dio in italian, Dios in spanish, Dieu in french and so on). Christianity then found a way to manipulate and transform this concept, but that's another story: what we can learn from Prometheus is that he loved his children (humanity) so much that he accepted to be tortured for giving us our most treasured possession, our ability to reason. That's why this song is clearly satanic at first glance, but to me it's ultimately a love song to reason, a panegyric to humans and to our ability to overcome difficulties with our intelligence, our ability to improve ourselves and other wholesome stuff that I don't want to list anymore. That's a declaration of war of ignorance, stillness, stupidity and hierarchy (aka fascism, to me personally). TL;DR This song seems satanic but it's not, it depends on how you look at it: its message is in fact pretty universal, and its a condemnation of ignorance and a praise to human reason

Thou that flowest, thou that goest
Thou Satan-Sun, Hadith, that goest without will
Thou air, breath, spirit, thou without bound or bond
Thou essence, air swift-streaming, elasticity
Thou wanderer, father of all
Thou wanderer, spirit of all
Hear me, and make all spirits subjects unto me
So that every spirit of the firmament and of the ether
Upon the earth and under the earth
On dry land and in the water of whirling air, and of rushing fire
And every spell and scourge of God
May be obedient unto me

Cry aloud, cry aloud
Whirl the wheel, oh my father, oh satan, oh sun

I'm not really into Satan or a devil worshiper or whatever

Oh hi Mikasa Ackerman, Titan were created by devil, isn't it? BTW never leave Eren even in Attack On Titan season 4.

I don’t feel like reading all that and im not one of those people who are like “fuck this shit it’s satanic” no I actually enjoy it.

@@29th. A monster created by God so powerful only God can overcome.
@@Meenapehelwan We get the word Behemoth from the Bible and it's not a monster, no, it's an animal, 📙 Job 40:15 - 24. What are your thoughts on the Bible?
I've listened to this song a number of times in the past. It's not my favourite from this album, but I've always liked it, especially because of the spoken ending. After seeing this video and listening to it for the N'th time though, I have a feeling that Nergal has seen, experienced and embraced his "light". I'm glad for him. I'm still waiting to deal with mine.
Ending was written by Aleister Crowley and is part of his Liber Samekh.
Since Prometheus (the guy who is chained to the wall) brought the Fire/Light to humanity I think you are right.
KupaMaster Does Nergal follow Thelema? Does he follow Aleister Crowley's teachings and perform rituals such as the Mass of the Phoenix?
I don't know. He is using many symbols from western esoterics, chaos magick and thelema. It's sure that his close friend and text writer of many Behemoth songs Krzysztof Azarewicz is knowledgable occultist and high member of Ordo Templi Orientis.
godless son of a bitch. you are all your son of a bitch. the devil's children will be destroyed. God's reign will come. you will all be thrown into the fire. there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. then will he be able to protect you from the devil? the devil is the father of lies. God fulfills His promises. God promises a great wrath for you. Because God is a liar, then you wish to die. You are not even sincere in your heresy. You do not like God. because you like immoral life and the world. but everything in this world belongs to God. Believe me, dogs. Believe in God and swear dogs. allegiance. otherwise your lives will be ruined.
We have never heard the devil's side of the story, God wrote all the book.
Maybe Satan wrote it, that's why demons only committed seven murders, when god killed millions.
"God wrote all the book" no he didn't, lol. It was written by a couple of humans, there's nothing supernatural about the bible. It's an old book with stories.
it's a self help book for people who fear death and a life without meaning....
@@sewerslidemg Yeah it's weird that so many people need a meaning. A task and a plan they have to fulfill. Why can't they just enjoy life?
