The history of the lyrics. Lyrics were written at the beginning of the 17th century by Mongolian Prince Tsogt-Khun-Taij (1581-1637), Genghis Khan's descendant. In his time, the civil war between Mongols had already passed 300 years and this war continued another 100 and more years after his death. From the lyrics it is clear that Prince Tsogt-Khun-Taij of Khalkha Mongolia was not talking about an attack nor conquest, but on the contrary about the protection of his borders from other invading Mongols. 400+ years of civil war brought us the Mongols to its current state, torn by Russia and China and living in 3 different countries. In the second song "Yuve Yuve Yu" also states that the trouble of today's Mongols must be sought only from ourselves, that is, there is no unity, and so on.
@@furiousfuryan it's because they broke into 4 smaller groups who all got complacent with power. They got lackadaisical and were no longer the great empire they once were.
During the Mongol empire, you don’t want to be on the wrong side of the fight, truly and fearless warriors. I lived in Mongolia 4 years amazing country and people. But don’t mess with them. Mongols can be your best friend, but also your worst enemy
The Banner shown in the beginning of the video is called The Black Banner, famously used by Genghis Khan’s army during their conquests. Crafted from black horse tail hairs, it symbolizes immense strength. In times of peace and celebration, Mongolians honor 9 white banners woven from white horsetail hair. Horses have remained crucial to Mongolian culture and the livelihood of its people, continuing to play a significant role to this day. The Hu has their own version of The Black Banner and is often seen in the background of their live performances. Ono (the band’s youngest member) is responsible for taking care of the banner. Before going onto the stage, The Hu has been seen symbolically using the banner to gain strength.

More Mongolians with Chinese passports than in actual Mongolia now. Truth is there are plenty of Chinese with Mongolian heritage somewhere in their blood. Since the Qing dynasty Mongolian royals married with the Manchu royals there was little fear of invasions from the north.
@@DanteAtroposMongols never married Manchu during Qing dynasty era. You should learn some history first. Prime time of Manchus known as ‘’Qing’’ crushed both China And Mongolia in same time. As a non Celtic speaking Scot, old Scottish hurts my soul 😞 I really hate that our native language was pushed out for so long it's almost dead. I've repeatedly tried to learn it, but since I have dyslexia and as much opportunity to speak it as I have the French I learned for five years at school it is incredibly hard. May need to find a more Scottish penpal from the Hebrides for next attempt. 🤣

The lyrics of this song are based on a poem from the middle ages (it's over a thousand years old); we can appreciate it in the movie about Prince Tsogt-Khun-Taij and it's magnificently played by the men who appear in this video (this is a magnificent piece of art!).
@@user-nk8zx1yw8s it was written by khalkha prince Tsogt Khun taij aka Choghtu Khong Tayiji in english. First introduced to them back in 2020 after hearing their epic cover of Sad But True. Been listening to them ever since. Just got to see them live in Spokane, Washington!!!! Absolutely blown away!!!!!!!!! Their stage presence was outstanding! Super tight, spot on and the best concert I have been to - and I’ve been to a lot!
Don’t miss out seeing these guys live- travel if you have to.
Went for a run with this on my headphones. Accidently raided the neighbor village.

Mongol was vaccal state for pretty long time. Manchus never entered Mongol land they just occupied then they leaved. Mongolia is one of the fewest country in the world keeping their C3 Dna pure. It is the secret word for God and has a very special vibracional frequency. I'm a 60 year old and I'll never stop rocking! My husband and I are from East Tennessee and this music has a lot in common with old time Scottish music to me. I love this band!!!
No idea what they're singing about but it sounds awesome.
The lyrics of this song are based on a poem from the middle ages (it's over a thousand years old); we can appreciate it in the movie about Prince Tsogt-Khun-Taij and it's magnificently played by the men who appear in this video (this is a magnificent piece of art!).
what poem?
@@user-nk8zx1yw8s it was written by khalkha prince Tsogt Khun taij aka Choghtu Khong Tayiji in english. He was a khalkha mongol (modern day mongolia’s ethnic majority) tribe’s leader who was fighting in the civil war between mongols that lasted 450+ years. Thats why he is saying have we forsaken our genghis and our fate in the music/peom.
