"The Satanist" is not
The Satanist is such a pinnacle album in both black metal and in death metal. Not very many bands are able to capture such immensely crushing music with flawless yet raw production, and above all, a slightly new/fresh sound. Behemoth just gets better with every album. One of the best, no doubt!

guillaume poirier I'm very aware of Septic Flesh! I still think they are one of the most unique death metal bands out there. One of my favorite symphonic DM bands for sure! The Italian scene is killing it!

To those wondering, the title doesn't refer to the footballer, it refers to Helel Ben Shahar, which is the Morning Star, as in, Lucifer Morningstar.
+Khaled Assaf Helel Ben Shachar in hebrew translates into "shinning one", which is an epithet for the King Of Babylon. Shortening the story considerably, the King James translators replaced "shining one" with "Lucifer", but the passage itself originally did not refer to lucifer or satan

This song is a fine example of dramatic monologue. The speaker is a well-thought-out character that, with the aid of his powerful verses, constructs a world full of voices, rich in symbolism, while revealing his own personality and the motivations that drive him. I'm fascinated by the sophistication of it all. The video speaks for itself. This is genuine art.

man, this song and it's lyrical content are nothing short of epic, behemoth is my favourite black metal band by a landslide, they're just so innovative and powerful, and they really don't come off as cheesy, their very knowledgeable and smart guys with great morals. I personally think this song is in their top ten best, it's just amazing.

This song is one of the most incredible metal songs ever made, from the amazing solo, riffs, drumming and the amazing vocal performance. This song is rage put to sound.

There used to be a football player called "Ben Sahar" he was one of the most talented attackers. He started playing in "Chelsea" and finished in "Hapoel Be'er Shevain" he must have been proud Behemoth made a song about his career. :D

The videos from this era were absolute ICONIC. Like you could pause at any time and get an epic pic. And I love what the band did since then, evolving beautifully, but I'd LOVE to see something like this in the future again! Because for one, this band is in my top 5 of all time AND we need new stuff for new stories, so....

The triangle and the fire is perfect for me, because if you take one piece of the triangle away you can't start a fire. Fuel, oxygen, ignition. Take one of these away, there cannot be afire. Perfect, tidy and simple.
