Song is extremely empowering to me. Especially the final stint from 3:00 to the end. The song helps me realize that I am the creator of my destiny. Through hardship i have learned that a higher diety, nor the universe, nor anyone, is going to help me create the life and existence that I want. I am the only one that can create the life that I want to live. Dimmu Borgir relays that message to us in this video
She did amazing back up vocals. If they always made songs with her that would be sic.
I did not expect Agnete, I like this now.

I never really appreciated this song or the album Abrahadabra until a couple of years ago I believe. Coming from Albums like In Sorte Diaboli or Death Cult Armageddon, I found it to be a little too soft. But then I stumbled upon that live video of this song in Norway with the orchestra and everything and I realized how amazing it is. Then I went back through Abrahadabra and realized I actually love it. It's not even remotely as bad as I thought it was. It's actually a masterpiece.
That ending is just epic
This band kicks ass thanks
Be the broken or the breaker
Be the giver or the undertaker
Unlock and open the doors
Be the healer or the faker
The keys are in your hands
Realize you are your own sole creator
Of your own master plan
This fucking song is one of the most epic i have ever heard.. The lyrics, the riffs, the blastbeat-part, and especially the ending gives me goosebumps every time!
all bands one days always end up returning their large formations. One day will hit and Nick Barker, Vortex and Mustis will return to the delight of fans.
Never. Theres bad blood there.
for fucks sake I hope so, while I like this song, I'm no longer finding metal all that great anymore.
Love this!
"Realize you are your own sole creator-of your own master plan"
All Silenoz's lyrics lead you to this one...
I am guilty and I' am god

Wow! Amazing! Judging by the views only - underrated AS HELL!
One of the best songs in the history of Metal Music. ❤
Not even close. Just this band alone has entire albums that top this, easily.
I must listen to this song at least 3 times a day 🤘🇳🇴🤘
this seems to be a self image promotional technique to get you away from whatever crap everyone else expects from you. fabulous lyrics.
2024 and I'm still a Roman Catholic and love this kind of music. 🙏🤘
The core principle of freedom
Is the only notion to obey
The formula of evolution and sin
Leading the way
The rebirth is near completion
As we slowly awaken from slumber
As we slowly awaken from slumber
The malpractice of the spirit ends
Gateways!
When the gift is once again attained
Gateways!
No rules or restraints are longer valid
Gateways!
When the ancient future is reclaimed
Gateways!
No rules or restraints are longer valid
Gateways!
When the ancient future is reclaimed
Gateways!
It's all there for the eye that can see
The blind ones will always suffer in secrecy
For it is the omen
Of what lies submerged
Untouched within us
The core principle of freedom
Is the only notion to obey
The formulae of evolution and sin
Leading the way
The rebirth is near completion
As we slowly awaken from slumber
To receive the light that shines in darkness
The light that shines forevermore
Forevermore!
Be the broken or the breaker
Be the giver or the undertaker
Unlatch and open the doors
Be the healer or the faker
The keys are in your hands
Realize you are your own sole creator
Of your own masterplan
Be the broken or the breaker
Be the giver or the undertaker
Unlatch and open the doors
Be the healer or the faker
The keys are in your hands
Realize you are your own sole creator
Of your own masterplan!
MMA king these lyrics are fucking badass so much power to them
Wait, hold on a sec..."The core principle of freedom Is the only notion to obey" doesn't make ANY sense at all, let alone being a "badass" lyric. That's literally a self-contradiction, and not in some clever, deep way. That's like saying, "The basic tenet of individuality is to only confirm."
@@akicitaa.8233 Perhaps it is the self contradiction they are aiming at. That we are free, but we still have to obey laws of society. i dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Read it like ..."the only notion (is) to obey the formulae of evolution ... and ... sin (is) leading the way"
Tip #1: Use the Closed Captions
masterpiece, wonderfull, amazing, complex
what's up with the dislikes? I think this song is great and majestic
every video is gona have dislikes dude
Dan Hale I know haha but this video has far too much I think
Marcell Roncsák There are a ton of Dimmu haters man. Just think like me...Fuck em
TheHeavy666Metal Good thing you were here then! Iq much?
Extreme metal genres aren't the most liked y'know :P Death Metal, Black Metal and Deathcore especially are subject to alot of hate
Music has always been the best medicine for me in all crisis of mind and body. Thank you to all the artists who move me...I love thee
For the zillionth time I appear before dimmu borgir... "Dimmu borgir I've come to bargain..."
They got right what Cradle tried to do. But they actually got a female singer who could sing.
What are you talking about? Cradle got it right. Don't be a fuckin idiot.
I LIKE SEXY TITS
Omar Nope, Cradle lost it. Just listen to their first albums. (The Principle of Evil Made Flesh (1994)
Dusk... and Her Embrace (1996)
Cruelty and the Beast (1998) after that the lost it (TO ME) this is a personal opinion. you're allowed to disagree but not to insult me, insult is a proof of lacking intelligence.
+L Desiron I prefer Cradle's newer stuff.
Idc. I still like Tits
I found these guys because I had a dream about listening to their music. I googled the name as soon as I woke up and THEY'RE A REAL BAND WTF BRAIN
welcome to enlightement
You'd probably already heard the name, and it was in your subconscious.
I had a friend that learned about them through metalocalypse. dimmu burger, he looked it up to see if it was a real burger chain (we were kids/preteens) and he found the video to sacrilegious scorn and got nightmares but found himself coming back for more and more and more. Long story short he’s a death metal drummer now lolol
I love bands like this, honestly this is some of the most artistic stuff I’ve ever seen. It’s actually really beautiful, I’m so glad I live in the time of the internet or else I would never be able to see stuff like this. ❤
Totally agree, and also I love the very artistically inclined christian videos of Behemoth
Love what your doing, don't ever give up, keep spreading your love ❤
My friend recommended this to me and holy shit... it scratches my brain in all the right places
OH CRAP THOSE GUYS WERE THE VILLIANS IN POWER RANGERS SERIES!
laas29 underrated comment
XD
No, they are corporate slaves doing a poorly acted theatrical performance
@@hakon312 proof?
Yeeeeep
This is why I can’t explain what I listen too when someone ask me!😂
I lost the cancer, but you one - thank you for your music
This band needs to make a theatrical show
