If I was spending $80k on a truck, I would take the Sierra Denali or the Ram Limited over this. GMC at least changes the dash design with the Denali where the Chevy interior design is the same as the LT's (as far as the screen and dash are concerned).
The steps in the bumper are smaller when equipped with super cruise due to the sensors being in that area.

The HighCountry is a petty nice luxury truck, best bang for the buck in the segement forsure. That said, I'd rather have the Denali Ultimate or even the Ram Limited, which are both nicer.
I do appreciate GM continuing to offer the diesel in the 1/2 ton segement, the updated LZO Duramax is awesome. As for the rear bumper, you're correct that is a different bumper. All Sierra's/Silverado's that are equipped with SuperCruise have a unique bumper with smaller steps. This is due to the sensors needing to be in that location for that feature.
On the topic of semi-autonomous hands-free driving technology, GM's SuperCruise is by far the most advanced system in the automotive industry. SuperCruise is compatible with or without towing, and will automatically change lanes on it's own (only without a trailer) when safe to do so.
Wonder if the 900 dollar suspension option actually noticeable in real world vs 20s without it. Should have really offered a real air suspension!
The government regulations by 2027 is so demanding, you won't want a diesel, sad but true, enjoy the 24 through 26 models, no telling what fuel will be like in 2027
