LTZ all day! I personally HATE chrome.
To me the chrome disappears on certain paint colors… on a dark color, it does stick out
get the midnight edition. problem solved. I also hate chrome
Just paint the chrome its not a big deal.
*JB Reviews* New Sub, very informative content, thank-you sir for taking the time to bring us along. GOD Bless.
Do a regular LTZ because the one you picked isn’t a good representation of what the LTZ normally look like
Great video !
You have helped me so much thank you. Please keep helping we women need your expertise.
Good video. I have a 24 High Country in a gasser. I like it. It is sterling gray. That blue color looks really good in my opinion. Would have been a tough choice, color wise, if dealership had that color on the lot. Of course I could have custom ordered one and waited for it. But I like the sterling color also.
My 3500HD High Country, blacked out package, was built on January 8th, hope to see it in a few weeks, can't wait!...❤
It will make you happy
I prefer the LTZ but I wouldn’t add $2300 steps or a $1200 tech package or $1100 wheels and a $1000 sunroof. So for me the LTZ would come in way cheaper than this. I much prefer the look of this particular LTZ over the High Country anyways. Still not into chrome since 2005 lol!
I spent the extra money for the High Country...The trade in value alone is worth the extra money spent...besides, it just a better look !!!
I think your salesman told you what you want to hear. You will get more money but what is the percentage difference between a high country vs and LTZ or LT on trade in?
Great review and love your videos, but please pan the camera slower when going back and forth between trucks (or features). It causes motion sickness.
Love that LTZ! Would totally buy it. Just wish Chevy could have kept the price down to 80k but, you do get a lot of options with that build.
I prefer the high country
Think I'll have to go with the ltz. But actually, i wouldn't mind having the Lt. Suits me just fine.
Depends on how you build it. The High country was like 8k more for the equivalent of what my LTZ had not to mention the Gideon interior is nice on a blk LTZ 👌. The 5th wheel prep is an option on HC and the running boards and towing options. Those really hike it up. If I choose a basic HC the price would be closer but then missing out on options I need.
It’s nice how much wider the wheel base is compared to ford and dodge.
I just bought the HC in the Pearl White or whatever they call the color. I had the truck undercoated including the doors and what not. Made a nice difference with exterior noise. I had the entire front end PPF'd, had the front widows and front windshield ceramic tinted as well. They both cost a lot of money. I just retired and this will be with me for a long time. This is replacing my 03 F250 with 72K.
What happened to the f250? Did the engine blow up?
@@picklerick_404 Nope, still running fine. Just wanted something newer for pulling our 5th wheel. Have more time to travel now. I decided to keep the F250 because no one will give me much for it even though it is in mint condition.
Grey is really cool looking.
Ive been looking. I think im going with a gmc 2500 SLE with a bunch of opinions. Im just not sure if i want to get a diesel or gas job. It will be a company truck and dont want an employee messing up the def by adding diesel, kinda wish the def fill was still under the hood or putting gas in the diesel. I love diesels, but omg, when you look under the hood, the gas looks so simple, and the diesel looks super complicated compared to my Cummins.
There have been most of those options since my first LTZ in 2005 I had less cameras . My 2020 high country has same triple stitching in seats . Love both but I got all the options in a 2016 LT ya I had to order but all the same trucks but nothing rides like the high country I am sure suspension can be ordered differently but would not be worth it .
On the GMC line, the Denali gets you a different (and preferred to me) center HVAC vents. I dont like the Chevy center vent that is near the driver's right hand. Even with the vent pointed all the way to the passenger seat, it stills blows some air on the driver.
LTZ offers more paint colors never understood why colors are restricted on most expensive vehicles.
I have no idea but honestly customize is how I do it the manufacturers make decisions that make zero sense
Its to get people to fork over another 10k just for a color.
Another thing to mention is that the difference is even less when comparing 2500 to 2500. The LTZ built the same way goes up $1,100 from the 2500 to 3500
Love my 2024 Midnight Edition High Country 2500. If you’re spending that much, a few thousand more is def worth it. I honestly love going to work just to drive the truck.
So how many Stanley cups do you have now JB? Lol.
The real correct truck to get would be an LT with the Z71 Sport package and save $10,000+ over the LTZ.
LTZ for 5k less most definitely.
Front end is way better.
Love the slate grey color.
Fact, most people that buy the "loaded" version do it because of one or two features and typically ends up costing them around 10k more for.
I don't like chrome at all. Once upon a time, maybe. But I think there is to much chrome in the High Countries. I ended up opting for the Z71 LTZ 3500 instead
my 23 and my 24 LTZ Midnights were $7000 less then high country with the exact same options when I built them out. Couldn't justify it for nicer looking interior. Plus 18" wheels were not an option on High Country.
High Country is really nice. It’s the most reasonable (even though still a lot of cheese) of the 3/4 ton top trims from all the makers. Who wouldn’t love an LT, LTZ, or HC…
On average, there is only about a 5k difference between the LTZ and the High Country. I'm currently shopping both trim leaves.
Jb. Hearing that GMs next generation 1/2 ton pickups going into production by end of this year. What have you heard
Think it’s too soon, they just refreshed. Maybe next year
Monopoly man monocle size rear power window needs to go down like a Tundra one day.
Give me the High Country anyday !!!!
You get most of the difference in money back when you sell or trade it. I love my 2021 High Country 3500HD diesel.
I feel alot of people don’t know what can be ordered on any model
What's the difference between 2500 and 3500? Just the towing capacity?
Extra leaf spring and a higher rated tag in drivers door?
Do these trucks come with upfitter switches
150.00 accessories option that the factory installed the switches but customer responsible for having harness installed
Most do not like chrome. The LTZ painted grill and black emblems, even on the steering wheel, look more sporty and less old rich man. Neither had the multi-folding tailgate which aesthetically looks better/higher end. Who cares if you can’t get the auto lift tailgate on the multi-folding, multi-folding looks better and is unique as you can add speakers/lights and the different folding options make it much more functional. Interesting so much attention is given to rims and tires. Those are changed out for aftermarket wheels and tires within the first month by most. And painted bumpers have rock chips almost immediately. Why not get cheap chrome bumpers and replace them with sporty AEV bumpers? My 2024 3500 LT Duramax came with the Z71 package, multi/folding tailgate, 360 camera view, center console, 13 inch display, power rear window, spray-in bed liner, etc…for $73k. I’ve put on aftermarket wheels and tires, $65 led bulbs, black badging, and installed high clearance steps. AEV bumpers will be next once they go on sale at the end of summer. It will look very custom and still cost less than either of these two trucks. All these trucks have the same frame, brakes, suspension, engine, and transmission. You are paying 10-30k extra for what? Wheels? Painted bumpers? Power steps? Headliner color? It’s just ridiculous.
Maybe I'm a "rich old man" lol, however I don't like the chrome on my truck which is the same as yours and same MSRP albeit w a different combo of options. There's less chrome on an LT than an LTZ. I would have loved a "black out" but I'm cheap - couldn't see spending 10k+ on appearance, LED headlamps, 20" wheels, etc. Maybe I'll upgrade the head lamps or put a new front bumper on. I wanted a truck that was quiet, easy to get in, and has good range and hauls my truck camper. I'm not trying to "express my personality" w my truck.
@@paulm9047 yeah, the LT even has painted door handles which is great.
I'd rather have the Ford F350 KR High Output 6.7 Tremor. But I'll take the High country over the ltz
I have the ltz its pretty much a HC with the exception of the nicer two tone seats and the wood on the door panels that will bow over time since it's real wood lol in my option not worth 11k more. You're just paying for the status.
Education is key!! Get some
That LTZ looks better anyways
I hate when people use the word “premium” it’s an obnoxious word that means nothing. It’s like saying. “You get this better bumper”. Well, what exactly makes it “premium” “better”
2500 vs 3500?
This must be an old video because the price in the rest of the country is 81,000 dropping to 76,000 but check for incentives
Thats more than my house cost
.....no way
I’ll pocket the $11k. LTZ all day.
ignoring the suspension and axle differences between 2500 and 3500....any presentation of trucks is really not worth much without showing what the payload and trailer stickers contain. WIthout that, its a car review.
You totally skipped over the fact that its a Z71, off road package!! LTZ Z71 all day long.
You're comparing a 2500 with a 3500
cash grab,, i only ever buy the base model
And opinions are like trash cans. Everyone has one, and they all stink.
These trucks are over priced....neither have realistic prices...
Well LTZ cost 80k and high country cost 87k
No depends where at. I got this exact slate gray ltz for 71k in Oklahoma.
