Dear Emma, I ran out of patience about a lot of people who seem don't care about wearing masks in internal area. My husband and I are trying to get by this terrible long period but we couldn't avoid to dip into my husband's pension since we went without work for more than 1 year. Thank you for helping me to better understand your language! You are the best!

During those days, I had developed the habit of getting up late due to a stern lockdown. I ran out of money but we dipped into our savings to bear with it. For a while I was coming down with the anxiety due to financial crisis and it was difficult to fight it off. My family was getting by through one of the toughest times then. Soon I realized not to let go this time in vain so I stepped up and started learning online to enhance my skills.
Thank You very much Emma for this awesome lesson.

    Dear Emma,
Thank you for this lesson! Helps me enormously to be fluent on what I was doing during last year pandemic.
I am a laboratory person and may I say that my team and me were on the frontline in the fight with the COVID-19.
My staff were affected by the virus. By other words we came down with COVID-19, but we were able to fight it off and continue to testing for SARS-CoV-2. It was not easy, but being railled around by our community we managed to continue our job properly.
And as you told while some people were lucky enough to dip into in order to get by, a lot of citizens of my deveolping country went without essentials to survive. Some of them passed away.
But we do hope that the vacciine campain, which is being rolling out by our Goverment will help to come back to our 'normal' life.
    Thnaks one again.
    Best regards.

Ohhh thanks for those phrases verbs.
When the pandemic started I lost my job, and I was getting by for 2 month.Currently I live in Dominican Republic, I’m Venezuelan , I’ve lived here for 2 years, and the pandemic started in my first year here, but my family were ralling around me overseas all that time. I had been dipped into my savings, and I had gone without a good job. A lot of people passed away here.
Then I came down with a cold, I was thinking it was covid but I went to the doctor and took the test and it was negative, few days later I was able to fought it off.
It’s right what you was saying dear Emma, despite of the situation we have seen people offer support and step up.
(I’ve been learning English with you, I’m able to express this words because you, here I have known a lot of people from the whole planet, germans, Italians, from UK,USA , even Australian people etc, and you know what? I can talk with them and learn about them because you have been teaching me all the time) I love youuu!
    Thanks again❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you , right I have rallied around with people that used to be strong, but it’s weird or odd to see that you are stronger in a kind of way , now I need to step up my life and that’s what I’m going to do .

Each time you come up with a new phrasal verb lesson this one is always really interesting.
In that difficult period, we run out of leisure, activities and go without travel, we can brush up on our English.
Many restaurants got by to manage their closure by preparing takeaway food.
Families dipped into their savings and governments stepped out companies by giving financial help.
IT departments had to roll out new ways to allow employees to work remotely.
Despite these new provisions with the virus a lot of elderly people passed away.
The fear settles in and each time when we come down with a sneeze, a cold or a fever we think we have the coronavirus
We hope that all will end up soon.
Thank you very much for the lesson and let me know if you find out any mistakes. kiss

Amidst an unprecedented pandemic do spare a thought for thousands of colleagues who have gone without a job, I know several senior citizens who dipped into their retirement funds to get by. Though initially it seems like the vulnerable people come down with a common cold/flu like symptoms, overtime the virus defeats the immunity and they eventually pass away. But do not forget, that even if you are part of the vulnerable section , you can take inspiration from the millions of people who have fought off the virus successfully. The doctors, scientist & the governments around the world are working tirelessly to roll out the vaccines in a speedy manner. However we have to remain vigilant & step up our efforts in fighting off the deadly virus. Needless to say that we need to rally around each other to support as much as we can.

Oops 2020, At the beginning of the COVID-19 happened, the pharmacies ran out of paracetamols in the OTC counter. Then people were coming down with prescriptions for the medications. So far many old people have passed away from care home. On a positive note, there were many people step up and help out their local communities wherever they can. For example they do the volunteer delivery jobs for elderly people. In uk hopefully everyone can get COVID-19 vaccinations before 25th June. Well done everyone! We’ve all fought it off!!!

Hello dear teachear from Buenos Aires Argentina. Thanks for your lesson 💖.
There s a lot to talk about this pandemic.
I know some people who came down with this virus and fought it off fortunately. But my godfather couldn t, he lived in USA and passed away last December. My family and I are well and also have our work but things are really different, we have learned to go without not only some things but also without visiting elder relatives to try to keep them safe.
    Thanks dear teachear again 💖❤️💝🌹😘

    Hey dear Emma,
I am a syrian pathologist. I always loved English and other foreign languages, I studied about ten. I feel I am good at, at least four of them, namely English. Anyway that's not the point. Several months ago I subscribed to your channel and followed many episodes; Yesterday I came back anew. It's absolutely amazing and useful. I understand almost all the words you say and feel relaxed to hear you with the most clear and excellent pronunciation I ever heard. In addition I find you very kind, smart, and lovely...
Lastly forgive me for this little flirting 😍 and please correct me when possible..
    Thanks in advance !

Hi Emma, in those days, we've been struggling financial problems and migrant issues as a whole country in Turkey. We try to get by; however, lots of companies are about bankruptcy. In addition to that, forest fires happened in several areas of Mediterranean and Eagean regions and flood occurred in some cities of Black sea region. Unfortunately, a great number of people passed away. The years 2020 and 2021 are tough for many of us. Hopefully, the vaccine rollout help reduce the pandemic. In some extent, things will become better...

    Hi Emma. Very useful lesson.
I'm gonna make examples with some of those.
Recently my mom came down with a cold. So, my father tried to help her and stepped up. Eventually, my mom could fight it off.
Even though they didn't have enough money they were happy and tried to get by.
Vaccines are rolling out throughout the world. I hope we wouldn't have run out of vaccines.
