    Thanks for your informative lesson!
    1. I’d like to bring the topic up today. It is “ climate change”.
    2. I sometimes get the meaning across in English when I read English classic novels.
    3. I am not kind of person who lets on anything somebody confide in.
    4. Do you mind if I jump in here?
    5. I don’t like any person who butts in my conversation.
    6. I used to blurt out some news, which made my friend really annoyed.
    7. When we have a date with a boring person, our conversation tend to dry up soon.
    8. I tried to get through to my husband, but it was in vain. He might be away for a while.
    9. I sometimes talk over what I plan to do.
    10. I was trying to leave earlier, but he succeeded in talking me around.
    11. I don’t like any one who shut me down mid-sentence. They are not a good listener.
    12. I am a lucky person when my husband always back me up through tough times.

    I got my plans across my friend but she shut me down and after some time, I talked her around everything and she understood my idea after that she backed me up.
    It happens to me all the time when I talk to someone after some time our conversation dry up.

    Additional verbs :cut smb off - to stop abruptly
    Talk smb into smth - to persuade smb to do smth / talk out of
    To go on about smth - to talk about smth non-stop
    To harp on about smth - to complain about smth
    To run smth by smb - to say about smth so that ppl can give you feedback
    To crown about smth - to boast

    Hello dear teachear from Buenos Aires Argentina. Thanks for your lesson, I m really studying a lot about these p adverbs. I looked up for some more and I m trying to put them into practice.
    Speak up, speak out on/against an issue, tune sn/smn out, fess up, talk down to, call sn out, point out, spell (information) out, cut sn off, rattle off, harp on (a topic), tell sn off, but out!, stand up for or stick up for sn, open up to sn, rant about smn.

    She proposed to increase the interest rate. I think it is a good suggestion; we have to bring it up at tomorrow's meeting.
    I mostly struggle to get across my feelings to others and it hurts me so much.
    Please, don't force me to say that. I'm not allowed to let on.
    I try to don't jump in when somebody is working carefully.
    I hate people when they try to butt in. It's really embarrassing.
    His grandfather always blurts his secrets out and he becomes really embarrassed.
    The worst thing that could happen for a spokesperson is to dry up.
    I've never become successful to get through my ideas to my parents.
    My father always wants to talk my problems over; he relishes that.

    13:11 The first thing the popped into my head is "to talk around (something)", as in: "It's time to address the elephant in the room. You can't talk around the fact that the money is drying up, and the restaurant won't stay open for much longer."

    Firstly, thank you Emma for the lesson and here are some ideas I'd like to share
    1. I tried to get my point of view across my husband but failed. (Not sure about this one)
    2. The victim seems suspicious as if there's somethink he doesn't let on.
    3. I think Roy didn't want to offend you, he just blurt it out!
    4. Our new student tourned out to be not an easy-going person, every time I tried to talk to her, the dialogue quickly dried up.
    5. I was really upset to find out that my boyfriend cheated on me! But for my friend who backed me up, I would be a disaster.

    I think I've really found this channel amazing.... Coz I have seen more channels for phrasel verbs I've never got them quickly.. but you're are amazing.... Can I expect more parts from this lesson....?
