    I absolutely love the shorter second tier! I've made this dress twice so far, both with the shorter second tier and I am obsessed with them ❤️
    I'm 5'11 (size 10/12 UK) and made this using one side of a single duvet cover (135 x 200cm). - Thought this might be helpful incase anyone is working with thrifted material and not the standard store width :)

  • @chloejanerichmond
    @chloejanerichmond 2 года назад +1

    I have made this dress twice in two different fabrics (thrifted single bed sheets). Absolutely love the design and it's so easy to customise! I just did a regular crew neck instead of the collar as I get too hot, and it looks so cute! I also did one with balloon sleeves from Maddie's shirt dress tutorial - ADORABLE.

    I love your tutorials and I wanted to make a dress like this for so long and I finally feel like I'm experienced enough to try but it would make things so much easier if you used the metric system lol
    Just an idea you could implement in your next videos (maybe just by adding the text with the sizes in m/cm while editing that come up while you're saying the sizes in inches in the video itself)

    such a cute dress and I really like your tutorial! For the sleeve, if I may say something about it, I understand that this is a nice straightforward way of drawing a pattern for it, but since your fabric is not that flowy, they stand like a T. When you fold it in half, at the rounded edge, make it a bit longer and then draw the rounded shape again till your armpit and you'll have sleeves that follow your arms down a bit more ;)

    I have a tip for when you're sewing with a machine, you can put the pin in an horizontal direction, like not going with the fabric direction, so that way you don't need to stop when the needle of the machine gets close to it, I will just skip it... I don't know if I explained it the right way but I hope someone find this useful :)
