    Appreciate this kind of no-nonsense, "git 'er done" style of vid. No yap (not that I mind your yap), just tearin' an engine down and getting on with it. Well done, sir.

    Even more satisfying than a tear down... Seeing whats being built that's going back in it's place.... And just some friendly advice, throw those cylinder head bolts away. They're usually only good for one good round. ARP makes a nice set for the SBF.

      Yea I can't wait for the build video! All new hardware always goes back wherever possible with my cars. Aside from hating crusty bolts it's the safe bet. ARP is always the way!

    That mill looks in pretty good shape shouldn’t be too costly a rebuild.

    Most peaceful engine tear down video I’ve ever seen😂 went well with my morning coffee after last night 5am garage session 👌 everything looks in decent shape, someone’s been in there with those new pistons. Keep it up brother

    Great vid !!
    Looks like that engine didn’t need a tear down ? Looks recently rebuilt or did it have low compression, etc ??
    Keep up the great work !!

      Thank you for watching! Its not really bad but the water jacket is FULL of garbage so it un doubtably would have had cooling issues continue. Could use a hot tank and light hone.

    What was wrong with this motor???

    • @RidicULooseAutomotive
      @RidicULooseAutomotive  4 месяца назад

      Really the only thing wrong was being a complete mystery. This car is going to get driven hard across the country and that's not something I want to do on a motor I have no clue about health wise. Gonna be built or replaced with something stronger.

      @@RidicULooseAutomotive ….well it looks to be a 90’s model roller block….i have a 5.0 that came out of a ‘96 bronco that has that same xxx casting in the lifter valley…..judging from your tear down it looked to be a very solid motor….i pulled mine apart too , im adding higher compression aftermarket pistons and 58cc chamber aluminum heads ….going for 10:1 compression….when that motor is done it will replace the tired 289 in my sons ‘67 mustang……which ive already converted to efi last year, and it made a night and day difference…..its an ACE’s killshot unit, you should look into one, they are very reasonably priced right now
