This is the most ridiculous display of musicianship I’ve ever seen! This was a masterclass on dynamics and how the space between notes and solos is absolutely the difference between a good musician and an amazing one. This was outstanding!!!!! And on top of all of that Cory can absolutely shred!!
I’ve never heard of Cory Wong until Fender released his signature guitar last year. (which is absolutely beautiful. I love blue strats) Even then, I never actually heard his music until today and had a music epiphany. This guy and his band are amazing! I’m now a fan.
I ve seen cory live . This is one of my favourite songs, keyboard player is an absolute BEAST. This whole band is next level musicianship ..I ve been to a lot of concerts but this was one of my most memorable and favourites. Great show , great music!
That recording was so clean, the groove was so fat and the guitar solo when it went into that great flat second Middle Eastern -esque field was amazing. Love your work.
This is possibly one of my favorites ever! Just when I think I can’t love y’all’s music anymore than I already do, you release another video! Go trumpets!! From a former trumpet player myself haha!
Was such a killer show! What an honor to see Cory, the Wongnotes, Antwaun, and Sierra perform their craft! Thanks for the amazing memories, Cory and friends ❤️
Killer arrangement, great execution and great sound, guys! I really loved the ultra precise horn hits. Cory’s solo leading into the fast finger work was exceptional. TBH though, it was the creatively of the keyboardist that did it for me. He created just the right harmonic, dynamic and textural imbalances that kept me fascinated with where his musical journey would take me. Keep up the great work!
He better show it off or I beat him.. Jesus.. the keyboardist is a MONSTER.. This band could use its strenghts like Zeppelin's John Paul Jones or Deep Purple's Jon Lord did.. hope they make the right choices.... EPIC SHIT. - Personal PS: I would like to hear 2 or 3 guitars on top of each other in a new recording for something like 6:48min.. :)
The green inflatable people perfectly convey my reaction after another amazing live performance. A strong amount of dying on the inside with a hint of absolute awe
Can't help but wonder if this song would exist without Vai's "The Riddle"...it's fun to imagine the keyboard player bringing out his inner Vai :). Love to hear a song like this any day!
I’d propose on bended knee To Lee Lee Lee, Lee Lee Lee, Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee, Lee Lee Lee, Lee Lee Lee-Lee Lee-Lee, Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee-Lee Lee-Lee Lee Lee! I think Kevin is actually Lee and is who Jack Black was singing about all those years ago because that keyboard solo cast a spell on me! Is it metal, is it jazz? Is it fusion with pizzazz? Really I just wanted to say great arrangement, great performance, and wondered the Tenacious D song was the first thing to pop in anyone else’s head when they first saw this title.
The mixes from these live shows are always so clean, I love it.
The unsung Wongnotes are their audio engineers. Always excellent clarity in their mixes.
めっちゃわかります

Yet more evidence that Lee is getting better with each new version, and will one day be the best song the world has ever known.
I've been chasing lee's ever since the wongnotes rendition

What an amazing performance. This band is producing the most interesting music around. This track is stepping into Snarky Puppy territory.
Kk
Kevin Gastonguay - keys KG is a MONSTER player.
NO, he is THE Monster Player. This band's too funky for planet Earth.
HEAVY
Thanks to KG this will always be one of my favourite Cory tunes

Cory you had a killer February this year!
That recording was so clean, the groove was so fat and the guitar solo when it went into that great flat second Middle Eastern -esque field was amazing. Love your work.
yeah - double harmonic minor (aka byzantine) i believe

Here's hoping Cory can make it to the UK in the next year or so.
Every performance is just phenomenal and gives me pure stank face. I'm convinced my face is gonna get stuck like this.
I am back again

Everything about this is so choice. Can't wait to them this fall.
Awwwww yeah. Lee is one of my all time favs. I'm so grateful this exists in my universe
The dude tickling the keys gave me goosebumps…Killer solo
This wants me to practice. I’m blown away!
stellar solos from kevin g, as always
Wooh, smoking solo Cory :-)
Get it Cory!!!!! That was fantastic!!
Just incredible!
Man, somebody should bring Cory into Snarky Puppy Family Dinner Vol. 3 whenever it becomes a thing!!
Sounds like a studio recording. What a band.
Super late night post! Glad I'm still awake!!
this concert was DOPE. Awesome show
It would be nice if they would tour to Canada.
2:22 What are those last 4 chords he plays before they go into it?
Cory usually keeps those solo chops hidden, nice to see them on display.
He better show it off or I beat him.. Jesus.. the keyboardist is a MONSTER.. I was smiling so hard throughout the entire video

That snare be hittin DEEP
Magistral.
Astounding performance.
Sick guitar solo!
Holy shit - that keyboard solo 😯😯😯🥲
Thx so much for those insane performance guys peaaace !
I liked how the camera man rushed to get a shot of Cory's picking technique.
Wow, Brilliant!!!

pelo amor de deus coloquem essa versão no spotify
This is so just amazing......!👍
I get some Jeff Beck vibes here. Love it!
It's so massive it almoust broke my brain!
Massive! Oh sorry, that´s another piece 😇
If we can´t have you in Germany, it´s good to see you guys live on YT.
So good man ! what a band . Everybody up there .
That mix is unreal. Clean clear warm dynamic and the best thing I've heard equally on my phone's speakers as on my in ears.
nice!
Whohooooooooo!! That would’ve been the maddest concert!!!
Groove approved!
Increíblemente fabuloso!
If you don't move your head to the beat, you have no soul. so funky!
Some keyboards impro parts remind me of the late Keith Emerson, different genre but the freedom of doing crazy things around the harmony
Bravo!👏👏👏
Good lord, what an amazing performance! Of course, it's my favorite Cory song, so... I see an Austin date in November, think I'll have to be there. :)
Your horns section reminds me Louis Sclavis atmosphere .... brilliant!
this was absolutely filthy and I don't want to be clean
Haha - spotted myself in the crowd. I'm the dude holding the vinyl in the front.
This is why you stand in the KAQ (Kevin Audience Quadrant).
Lingus vibes
damn! I thought this was going to be the best Tenacious D cover ever!
solo's pretty tame
and then
*32nd notes*
Coming from a keys player that wishes he had 6 hands at one gig…. Killer. Absolute killer.
Stoner Rock Wong needs more views
Pretty tame crowd. New Nashville at its finest.
That solo was Lettieri-esque. Cory really can do anything.
🙏🏻
Petar’s seizure at 2:49 😂😂😂
I’ve been desperately scrubbing the timeline looking for Daniel Lanois’ solo
Go for Disney & Hollywood Muaic bros.. Love from PAKISTAN
Prog Funk? Yes, please!
Damn this is a late upload. Someone's burning the midnight oil. :P
Sounds good!! What are these overheads models ? :D
Hello sir, great plays!
Please how can I get an approval on one of you instrumental sound?
Funk Punk Techno Baroque Moment
👍 tasty 👍 indeed
Cory’s solo sounds like a Bob Lanzetti approach. Or is it just me?
It sounds super bob lanzetti, especially his phrasing habits in the faster lines following the atmospheric buildup
It does sound distinctly like cory wong though even if the approach is similar to what bob lanzetti typically goes for
Taking attendance: Where are Negah Santos and Jon Lampley!
I’d propose on bended knee
To Lee Lee Lee, Lee Lee Lee, Lee Lee
Lee Lee Lee, Lee Lee Lee, Lee Lee
Lee-Lee Lee-Lee, Lee Lee Lee Lee Lee
Lee-Lee Lee-Lee Lee Lee!
I think Kevin is actually Lee and is who Jack Black was singing about all those years ago because that keyboard solo cast a spell on me!

Some of that keyboard reminds me of the red weed song from wotw
🇦🇷
Leengus ;)
Imagining a Cory Wong & Jeff Beck hook up show
Hey look at me right in front row
suddenly it will become interesting
First👍👍👍
I should have never killed the wall of flesh
Hipnosis
those horn stabs are tighter than a frog's ass!
Cory, I’m discomforted to think about all the silly vocalization’s I’ve spat into your crowd mics. Please don’t perceive me.
:)
What's the name of this song?
"Lee"

Thanks. I wonder what Rick Wakeman would think of Kevin's work.
EXQUISITE
What happened to the percussionist chick...?
Nêgah Santos also plays in the Late Show with Stephen Colbert band 4-5 nights a week.
