I've had the luxury of being center front row at two of Cory's concerts (Wiltern 2022 with Sierra Hull & Ryman Halloween 2024) and I have to say this RUclips post is almost just as good. Thank you for recording your concerts in such high quality!
Amazing, beautiful, fantastic, musicians off the charts, high quality video, great mixing and production, all for the cost of…? Free. An absolute legend, I adore you, Cory.
Ive been watching After Midnight clips next day for over a year. Every time Ive heard the theme I've thought "Wow someone was listening to a lot of Cory Wong when they wrote this" Today I discover the theme was literally Cory Wong the whole time.
@@DSmicklas haha funny but I think he explained in a press conference during last tour that the show selected another song, that is why I have written as "unreleased theme".
@@CoryWongMusic happy to help you sir, good idea to add chapters. :) Thanks a lot again, every notification from you put a smile on my face. :) Hope to see live versions that have not been published yet (Olympia in Paris last year was sick!)
There are a lot of great bands I wasn't fortunate enough to be alive during the right time to enjoy them live a bunch. I sure as shit won on being here for all these tours and I'm grateful for how hyped you guys all are on making great music and putting it out there for us to enjoy. You keep making it, i'll keep buying merch and show tickets. Deal?
01:10:00 It's frustrating when a string breaks just before the solo starts....but, but, but...very well done, Mr. Wong! You got the ship through the storm...! I don't mind the out of tune sound. because that is how a strat sounds with a broken string and a floating trem. I think it's great to see how you handled this situation. Thumbs up, man. Great Gig, wish I was there....
Whoa- totally never heard of these guys! Dang! The funky rhythm chops! I think Jimi and SRV are smiling down- I hear Mayfield, Upchurch, Steely Dan, so many influence-s..Chicago, Stevie Wonder… brings much great music to mind! For a tour how bout Was/not was, Tedeschi Trucks and Cory Wong. I’d go. 3 great modern big bands.
Grid Generation started to play and then an advert for Syncopation Summer Camp pops up playing the same song! Cory breaking his own concert with his own ad! Haha!
Morphing Peg into Aja to give Petar a chance to get his Gadd on. Keeping it together through a broken string on Meditation. Some good work in this one.
Broken string during Meditation 1:10:15, you could hear it causing a couple of bum notes and Cory sorted it out like a pro. Come to Australia next tour please!
I love this - wonderful! Besides - anyone else getting nervous when they see that laptop on a stool next to Petar? I hope at least its clamped down :D.
@cory can we get someday version with nearly no compression at all? lives are the last place where we can get some dynamics instead of loudness war (youtube, spotify etc) that would be legendardy. I actually thought of starting some campaign of certification records that are not stripped of dynamics by using compression :)
Just for the guitar (without mentioning the rest of the band): Compression is a key component of Cory's sound - I guess he has at least two compression pedals on the floor.
Tighter than a mosquito's ass, and I don't even know if a mosquito has an ass!!! I know that you guys work hard to be able to play like this. Great ensemble. Great talent. Great chemistry. I think Petar is more on-point than any click track I've ever heard. Damn!
Yohannes Tona running around the stage is my new favorite thing. this whole band looks like they're having so much fun!

Dude the energy level is over 9000! You love to see it.
Your understanding and interpretation of the harmonics of your instrument is amazing. Thank you for sharing with our world. Joy to you!
Best brass section, so good.
Great show! Cannot wait to see you next year in Brno (CZ). As soon as I learnt you are going to be here, I bought the tickets right away.
Fantastic free content like this is why I make it a point to see them live when they come here to Minneapolis. Love the energy and talent!!
Thanks Cory and all the Wong Notes.
I went to this show solo, absolutely unreal!!

The best music made these days is the Cory Wongers!
What a guy!

Oh that Peg solo and breakdown - Awesome!
Peg! Are you kidding me!? Yinz killed it!!! AND THEN AJA? Are yinz trying to give me a heart attack!?
Great concert, still craving that live acceptance performance tho. Amazing work from señor Cory Wong as always.
Magnificent!

Prince should love to be there.
Is there such a thing as a circular breathing trombone solo?
there was a change in sound at minute 1:47. Probably closed the ambience microphone. But spectacular sound.
32.39 - sneaky fix on the fly on that out of tune string😄classy. also tried to mitigate it earlier on in that riff.
No way !

Anyone know where we can buy the Cory Wong track jacket?
Cory's vocals in "Peg" are missing in the mix. I wonder why that is, they were definitely not just forgotten as Cory did the mixing in part himself.

Sure it is. Ihave like whole mix more in mind.most of music is dynamic sausage all over the graph in DAW @@Fastvoice
I have read elsewhere that youtube applies compression no matter what - so it might not even be Corys decision :/
@@shoubamzlibap Don't mix up data compression and audio compression. AFAIK YT compresses data.
@@Fastvoice I meant sound compression like in the Wong compressor
where is vincen?
Why can you barely hear Negah in most of these recordings? Like at 30:12 - almost non-existent.
Mega❤️
Is it the 23 winter tour or the 24 winter tour?
Cory Wong, I just used "detriment" as a verb. I'm sorry

winter 2023? wasn't this early 2024?
Talk about tasty.
