@@davidkastin4240haha sorry I've been living in Ireland for a while and I must have absorbed their use of "dead/deadly" to convey "absolutely" . I meant absolutely reliable! :)
These are insane value, they look and sound gorgeous. I love the double bound look. I was teaching with my '85 MIJ Telecaster Custom. It's live debut was with a punk band, none of my other guitars got a look in but I have used it for jazz, rock, prog, whatever since.
Those are two of the most beautiful Teles I've ever seen and they're Squiers. I honestly might end up having to buy one because they look unbelievable at that price point.
The Telecaster was, is and always will be the king of electric guitars!! Very cool Teles. Sorely tempted by a rosewood board one after having my Chinese CV50s Squier for like 4 years and playing it every day. Such a cool guitar
That's a nice pair. And the Teles are no' bad, too. I love how distinct the amp models are on the Champs - I don't know how accurate they are but the fact that their different colours are easily distinguishable even on laptop speakers says a lot.
I wish Fender USA would do this on their teles. I have a 2022 Dark Night tele that would look awesome with black double binding. Also, double cream binding on a Texas Tea Tele would look awesome too!
The rhythm player in my band plays a 1×12 champion and it sounds great. We play with a very loud drummer and I can say it is easily loud enough to gig with if mic'd up.
Double bound teles are my weakness. Swap the necks out for maple, new pickup and I’m good to go. Perfect mod platform. I’ve got the olive one I put a thinline pickguard on.
That olive green tele is sweet ❤if it had been out a few weeks ago I might have got one, in the end I found a half price Chrissie Hynde tele, which is awesome😊
I love the Teles. The amps seem promising, especially the 25-watt model, for home/bedroom use. I'm wondering how well these amps do with pedals. Specifically, boosters, compressors, and OD pedals? Or are they better as just plug-in and play type amps?
Is the speaker any better than the old Champions? At anything past 6 or 7 on the volume dial the speaker just couldn't properly handle the level. There was a lot of weirdness in some effects, specially when combined with the overdrive channel
I have the 212 with flight case. I’m buying a 112. That way I can put it and my acoustic amp in my 212 flight case. 50 watts is loud enough for where I play. I have to mic up with a plexiglass front defuser, very little stage volume.
Those double bound Classic Vibe teles are ALL SUPERSEXY. I recently got the Oxblood and it's beautiful (the oxblood is a bit darker than usual... bit like a superdark burgundy mist) but a bit heavy. Still love it and play it every day!
Fun video! The 50watt sounded pretty righteous watching on my TV. Too bad chances are good it won’t sound like that in person. I think your interface was really helping it out. Strange the 100 watt sounded… well just like the SS that it is. I heard the room mics during a switch and I think that’s closer to what it would sound like. I’m still curious to give one a try in person. For the price of a pedal ? That’s hard to beat! Remembering a SS Princeton Chorus 212 combo I had many years ago that sounded super nice.
Regarding the 25w and 50w amps, I would rather have an FX loop than a multifx switch. I dont know how much it is to install an FX loop but i wouldnt mind spending another £20 on an amp.

that clean is pretty good. sounds solid state but the timbre and EQ is really nice. almost like its own thing. but agree with Lee. why would something digital not allow you more than one FX? at least have the most logical ones mashed together as one setting. trem and reverb but can't use together? come on!
We need a 5-20w fender head. I dont even care if its hybrid power stage. Just give me the fender tone in a convenient small head to go with the countless 1x12 cabs
listening to today's tele's and yesterdays gibson's. gibson are over charging for there sound. they do look pretty, but sounded very thin. where as, both tele's sounded richer and more dynamic. and still look pretty enough.
CME has them www.chicagomusicexchange.com/en-gb/products/squier-classic-vibe-60s-custom-telecaster-olive-cme-1484315?srsltid=AfmBOooKd2amwdTod8cqS80C8Emi69v6B5FvsPHyKd6uLH1-nlYN2c3y
This came on in the background automatically as the next video and as I heard Pete play at the beginning I thought that was the first time I’d heard him play with a genuinely terrible tone. Then, to hear them tell me it sounds great, I’m reminded that they’re salespeople first. Use your ears.
Ihave been wanting a Tele for years i have some cool guitars but i need a Tele for so.e of my blues rock stuff that Tele tone is only accessible with Fender Tele maybe this new year if tarriffs dont destroy the economy.
Lee is in the groove on this intro
That olive color with the double binding is sooo tempting. Narrow tall frets too. Gotta say I'm tempted.
I've just ordered one. I think they're one of a kind :)
There is no such thing as a bad tele. I have had a Chinese Squier for 20 years and its still solid. What a unit.
Same for me!
I've had a red Affinity Chinese made Squier for 21 years, it's been dead reliable!
I've modded it a bit over the years, nothing crazy
@@eugeniocollinassi.1548Dead reliable? That an odd way to describe something to me 🤷
Absolute bollocks. You can't generalize based on a sample size of one.

Lee your playing has became really good! Your licks are getting sweeter with time like a fine wine! Keep it up brother!
Those Fender Champion amps really sound amazing. Those Teles are nice as well.
those Sqiuers are so good- and the 2 colours great-some nice licks from both of you gents
I bought a 2021 Candy Apple Green one from you and I play it more than my old American Standard.
I recently bought the 100 model and it is so bloody great. Brings a big smile when I play through it. Great product.
The 100 Watt is such a good back up amp with that FX Loop in there
These have more character then the Katana, you both played great, you can hear they are inspiring.
I agree 👍
*than. More character THAN the Katana.
Got a flawless FSR Tele Squier - after trying dozens of American Pro II ! Believe it or not, I went for the Squier at the end.
Pete was born to play a Tele.
He is great no matter what he is playing, but when he gets a Telecaster in his hands, he is right where he should be.
I have a Squier classic vibe tele double bound in candy apple green from about 3 years ago, it looks and plays fantastic ,
If you stay with the Fender tones, these actually sound pretty solid !
Lee, Tele, solid state and metal should never work together, but sounded awesome!
Guys, 212 solid state combos shootout please :)
Randall amps were used pretty extensively in the 80s for metal

Not a bad time of year for an affordable guitar and an affordable amp. Just in time to bring the young ones onboard. :)
Those amps all sound ridiculously good for those prices. Wow.

Beautiful guitars, excellent video as usual guys, but I have a question... why mr. Pete is not wearing a shirt?
Morning from Toronto
Olive drab for the win!
Anderton's exclusive purple sparkle double bound road worn incoming? That souns quite tasty doesn't it?

Why cant we get a Mex Fender double bound?
It's just come to me, and I'm surprised that know one has thought of it before? It's Peter's and Lee! That's if anybody remembers them?

Hmm. The 50W amp sounds amazing for the price.
