If Kris dies inside of the Berdly fight and you use ice shock berdly says "Noelle kris is down you don't need to keep attacking" and Noelle says "I can still hear them..."
For the record, what really makes this dark is that it isn't even Kris telling Noelle to do all this. It's actually the player speaking through Kris' body, meaning Kris' body not only posseses by us, and is only free whenever they rip out their soul, but it's a sign of the player expanding their control beyond Kris.
If you wondered why Noelle's HP stops at 55 after equipping the ThornRing, that's because 55 as a Roman numeral is LV, and what does LV stand for in Undertale/Deltarune? LOVE (AKA Levels of Violence)!

I find this more creepy and sad than the Genocide route in UT, because it’s one thing to kill everyone and have everyone evacuated, but it’s another thing to force someone so defenseless to do stuff they would never do, especially since they’ve been one your friends for years, and seeing Noelle spiral into so much anxiety and paranoia is so heartbreaking and terrifying.
What I find worse about this route compared to Genocide is how much more realistic it is. Not that Genocide isn't horrifying in its own way, but chances are, you can't relate to the idea of massacring everyone on the face of the Earth. What you probably CAN relate to, however, is the fear of you or someone you love being gaslit and manipulated into becoming a monster, a traumatized shell of their former self, and being put in the position of doing that to a character you know and love is absolutely skin-crawling in a way that Genocide could never be.
My favourite thing about this demented route is Spamton NEO. He becomes blinded by his victory through invading the mansion that he completely ignored his own situation, and instead is blinded by rage into attacking you. In the normal route he struggles to become free, but here he’s tricked himself into believing he’s already free Also the line “I’m busy becoming [god] go play [minecrap] or something” is legendary
An important note of this run: you keep saying “Kris, what are you doing?” But it’s not Kris doing it. It’s you. You’re leveling up your party member. Just because you want to be stronger. In the NEO fight, Kris calls for Susie and Ralsei, but YOU call for Noelle. *You* did this. *You* got stronger.
Yup there is no scapegoat so I hope people actually realize that there is no Chara nor kris you can blame for this since well Kris is frankly quite disgusted by our actions as seen by dialogue in game
Honestly, the implications behind what happened to Berdly are worse than you’d assume.. He’s not exactly dead When Monsters die, they turn to dust, Berdly was frozen to death, and not only that, the dark fountain was closed while he was incased in ice… Berdly is in a permanent limbo, forever trapped, never able to wake up o-o And if that wasn’t creepy enough.. you remember how the description for that closet in the computer lab said “A whole person could fit in there”….. Yeeeeeeah- we legitimately just committed Murder and hid the body.
Here's another disturbing thing. When you inspect the beads toy in the hospital, it normally says that the beads all grimly march along their set path. During a Weird Route, it will say that the blue bead has been torn off the track.
"...when monsters are about to expire of age, they lie down, immobile. We call this state "Fallen Down." A person who has Fallen Down will soon perish." (well, berdly didnt die of old age.. he just dies)

Noelle and Berdly are already set up at the computer room with books open when the dark fountain formed, in which it is theorized the Knight snuck and hid in the closet and created it after Berdly and Noelle went inside. This theory also dispels the theory that Kris created the Cyber world fountain at the end of Chapter 2 because if Kris did create it, Berdly and Noelle would have just got transported instead of being able to set and open books on the other side of the table before they got transported.
32:43 this line shows that Kris doesn't like what the player makes them do. Think of how horrible it would be to be forced to do all the things on this route with no control

This also applies to the Thorn Ring's description, which outright states that it causes constant damage when worn but reduces the TP cost of ice spells. Also, this route goes heavier than usual on the implication that Kris has a will of their own and that you are literally a separate entity controlling their actions despite their free will. Notice how Susie and Ralsei mention Kris seeming really distraught when they meet up again after the Berdly fight.
In case nobody has mentioned it yet, you only had one shadow crystal because you used a black save file to do this run of chapter two, so you didn't have Jevil's. Though, Shawm/Seam was giving you a hint that there is a location in the castle town that you can still pick it up from if you've ever beaten Jevil before.

There's a theory saying that the choices of the three still don't matter, snograve only occurred because Noelle was there and she's not one of the three heroes of the legend, even if there are multiple routes in chapter 2 the theme of your choices not mattering is still there

The reason 1997 is so special is because spam emails and pop-up ads were really invented in the late 1990's (Hence the 1997). Also in the 90's, the Internet was mostly used with Dial-Up (hence why the phone imagery during the fight and in his shop). My personal theory is that Spamton is just another Spam Ad or Spam Caller, trying to get you to buy whatever he's selling. But since the age of the spam-ad on the internet and spam calls on the phone are pretty much over since you can recognize they're spam, Spamton was out of work. That's why he's a washed up robot living in a garbage can. He's a thrown out Spam-Caller program.
You keep saying stuff like “did she really kill him?”, “what is Kris doing?”, and “is Kris doing this to set himself free?” but the whole point of this route is that it’s all the player’s fault. Kris does not want to do this. You are making them. Also, if you had read the description for the Thorn Ring, you would’ve seen that it said it’s tremendously painful to wear and drains the health of the bearer. Also also the description for Snowgrave is just “Fatal”.
This was INCREDIBLY dark. The designers really went all-out. Although I will admit, an attack like "X-Slash" sounds super cool 😎 I'm a huge fan of swords and always admired the fact that Kris carries one (as well as the fact that the sword can turn into a shield). Not only that but despite everything, Spamton's "[Hyperlink Blocked]" moments always have me cracking up 😂😂 Luke you do an amazing job with these character voices btw; whenever I watch a video of you playing a game with no voice acting, and you provide the voices themselves, I always consider them to be the actual canon voices for said characters. My personal favorite examples for this playthrough are your voices for Susie, Sans (by extension Papyrus from Undertale too, I can't forget how awesome that was), Lancer, Rouxls Kaard, the Queen and even Spamton (The way you [lower your voice] for every [part in parentheses] makes it so much better to know how he talks!)!
The spamptin neo fight does give you a shadow crystal, it’s just that for some reason this run didn’t have the previous runs save file. Also, Normally you are able to speak to onion on second day, but only if u talk to him on day one.
Spamton is talking about "you making your own" because what Spamton wants more than anything is to make his own choices, and have them matter. That's why he tried to get your soul in the previous boss fight, when the machine didn't work, because if you recall, fusion with a human soul gives great power, and he hopes more power will fix his issues. And in this timeline, you have literally derailed what was supposed to be the story by corrupting Noelle. You, the player, are breaking free from what is supposed to be the timeline.

Not sure if anyone saw this but in the berdly fight where he tries to stop you in your tracks in the normal run look at his animation whe he powers up his axe he look more like he is trying to be the best but with the snow grave one he look more determined to stop Kris(you) from hurting Noelle
Another important thing to note, if you check the closet in the library before you leave, it will have dialogue that says something like, “it’s a closet, looks like it has enough room to fit a whole body in it” or smth like that. This is basically implying that Kris(or you in this instance) could’ve possibly put berdly in the closet. It’s just a detail I found neat
you can actually use it outside of this fight by aborting at the last second during the berdly fight then going back some enemies will respawn and you can use snow grave on them, interestingly enough theres animations for defeating enemies this way where they fade away like in undertale instead of freezing or running this could mean corrupted noelle may be a party member in future chaters if this route is done

1:10:41 well yes and no he isn't technically dead(he would've turned to dust otherwise which does happen in DR after all they wouldn't need to bury items if monsters didn't dust) but rather "fallen down"(basically coma-like the state monsters enter when they die of natural causes like old age disease stroke heart attack etc.) he won't immediately turn to dust meaning he can be saved if given enough DT(not too much though we don't want him end up in constant horrific agony unable to die)
I'm not sure if you've figured this out yet or not, but the reason Spamton's favorite number is 1997 is because that was the year his sales weren't so bad and he was a so called "big shot". So,, yeah

Watch Berdly become an integral character to all Deltarune chapters, and just due to doing this the rest of the chapters have 1/3 of the game missing.

The hospital's toy beads who were "begrudgingly making their way along their set path" suddenly had "the blue bead broke and fell off."
You mentioned how they run away if you try to kill them, well that's why you're never giving them the chance to run by killing them via freezing ;)
Berdley is worse than dead because he was erased from existence while inside the dark world, leaving his actual body an empty husk.

you can actually use it outside of this fight by aborting at the last second during the berdly fight then going back some enemies will respawn and you can use snow grave on them, interestingly enough theres animations for defeating enemies this way where they fade away like in undertale instead of freezing or running this could mean corrupted noelle may be a party member in future chaters if this route is done

@@ShemLunaria It's their sound fonts, listen again. Sometimes it's Susie and sometimes it's Ralsei. They even talk like them. The taking is also absent in the basement when you don't have them with you.

1:10:41 well yes and no he isn't technically dead(he would've turned to dust otherwise which does happen in DR after all they wouldn't need to bury items if monsters didn't dust) but rather "fallen down"(basically coma-like the state monsters enter when they die of natural causes like old age disease stroke heart attack etc.) he won't immediately turn to dust meaning he can be saved if given enough DT(not too much though we don't want him end up in constant horrific agony unable to die)
