I Played DELTARUNE For The FIRST Time (Chapter 1)

- This is my entire chapter 1 experience, which I streamed awhile back. A few people have asked to see how my blind playthrough went, so here it is! If you enjoyed this, let me know in the comments below and I'll get my chapter 2 blind playthrough edited down too!

A couple things!
1. This video is a cutdown of my entire chapter 1 playthrough that I did early this year. I TRULY knew nothing about the game when I played it.
2. My mom's name is Kris and I always thought Frisk was a little girl in Undertale, so I referred to Kris as 'she' instead of 'they' a couple times in this playthrough. That's my bad, sorry about that! Just frontrunning the comments I know I'm gonna get here lol

In my opinion Toby Fox was going to make a new game unconnected from undertale and then he was like wait a second I really like these characters I don't want to be done with them yet
Kris Frisk and Chara genders aren't confirmed but my headcanon is that they're all boys
When you changed the King's voice i felt my soul leave my body in the most positive way possible
I always imagined his voice as deep and menacing, and seeing him made a clown is just so... Special

54:16 Didn't see anyone clarify for you, so I'll do it:Toby Fox confirmed that Deltarune is a totally separate universes which happens to have some overlapping characters. It's not a prequel or a sequel, it's an AU. You can reach this conclusion yourself when you consider both Undyne's eye and not knowing Alphys(Which rule out it being a sequel) combined with the fact that Asriel, who died as a child in Undertale, is pursuing post secondary education in Deltarune(Which rule out it being a prequel). Another thing which rules out it being a prequel is Kris' presence: They aren't mentioned in Undertale, and seem to be Chara's counterpart in this world.
That King voice is actual perfection though, and anyone who criticizes it has no understanding of King's character.
Also one thing truly pissed me off.
1:44 Imagine being that guy who tried to correct spelling that was already correct.
Let him be an example of why you shouldn't try to correct spelling mistakes in a video game unless you know which your to use.
Somebody doxx this person so I can go to their house and give them grammar lessons they should have had back in elementary school.
For obvious reasons I must specify that I am joking, don't actually do that.
I did SO much research and theorizing after finishing up this playthrough and doing my other DELTARUNE vids, appreciate the clarification! I'm subscribing to the theory that (especially after ch2) there's a set of inciting incidents before the events of DELTARUNE and Undertale that Gaster is influencing throughout the infinite timelines he was shattered into when he died in the Undertale universe. I'm pretty certain that him & Ralsei & Kris are the pivotal characters in changing what happens in each timeline, although I'm not sure who is truly the antagonist of the story (probably Ralsei). By influencing the inciting incident (probably the death of a certain character before the events of the game) there's a butterfly effect kind of reaction, and (again, not sure who it is specifically) someone is trying to cause the roaring and the end of the world, and someone's trying to figure out a way to save the true timeline from the endtimes. There are some plot holes in that theory, buuuut I'm pretty certain at least some of what I've talked about will end up being true. Someone also brought up that the underground we know from Undertale could be behind the locked doors at the bottom of the town, which absolutely blew my mind and fits well into what I've discussed here!
Also. That grammar mistake was Pika, who is an actual child, LOL. Easily the funniest person in the community 😂
@@Chiken While I could somewhat see it happening, I'm not a big fan of the idea of Gaster playing a big role in deltarune.
I also don't think the doors are the entrance to the underground, since it's under a mountain and Hometown doesn't appear to be in a mountainy area. I do think that Kris has been there before(before the events of the game, I mean), and that whatever is inside will be important to the story.

Yeah, that makes me especially glad I clarified that I was joking XD. Definitely more justifiable for a kid to make that mistake.

@@Missingno_Miner Gaster's involvement in Deltarune is undeniable at this point, what with the vessel sequence (the song playing is called "Another Him"), the "darker, yet darker" quote from Seam, the "garbage noise" from Spamton's phone (as well as making a call while in the dark world returning the dialogue "it's nothing but garbage noise", with it being the same smile.ogg associated with Gaster in Undertale), the bunker also emitting smile.ogg slowed down by 666%. Also the Undertale/Deltarune Twitter being seemingly taken over by Gaster, and the wayback machine archive for the Deltarune website having just an image of wingdings in the style of entry 17... Not even mentioning the creepy-ass "unused" dialogue lines hidden in the code.
It annoys me when people make unnecessary connections to Gaster (like "the man who gives you the egg is Gaster!!" or saying the knight is Gaster), but he absolutely has some involvement with the Deltarune world. I'm happy about it because all the Easter eggs related to him in Undertale gave us no answers and it seems like we're going to finally get some.
Hope I didn't come off as preachy but I've been absorbing this info like a sponge since Ch.2 released and I've just gotta share.

There was one line of dialogue that Chiken read in Ralsei's deep voice that made him sound scarily close to Kronk from Emperor's New Groove.

I just realized: The prologue zone of the dark world.. IT'S CHALK AND INK!! Chalk pieces act as giant pillars in the background.

@@MamboCat84 Almost every (American) school I know has at least a small art supply, especially elementary schools. That supply is kept in a storage space, like a closet at the end of a hall.
That classroom has art and toys inside. It was probably an indoors playspace for the kids of Toriel's class, or potentially a younger grade.
The prologue zone is the closet.

According to a "word of god" i.e. Toby Fox, this is neither a prequel nor a sequel, but a "separate timeline" entirely.
As I understand it, it's essentially a parallel universe with many similarities, but that is still not connected in any "causal" way, neither forward nor backward in time.
