While I hope OP heals and makes the right decision, maybe this was for the best. Brie clearly wasn't ready. It would've been worse in the long run. Now, pressuring OP is a no-no.
op's bff diesn't deserve marriage. but at least she's honest, or i hope she is because someone that never has a serious relationship generally IS the problem
Brie is someone who can only be a mistress not a wife. So she loves op not even because they were long time friends but because she would always be second. She loves op because should she ever pass away she would want the same grieving process to happen to her. By denying her a relationship she fell even deeper because she believes that op will be just as devastated for her and be even stronger in taking care of their future kids himself
(There could be a possibility maybe Jason was abusive but i don't know the people in real life but this is my take based on the text given )Honestly I am not gonna excuse jason actions for socking OP and yelling with his daughter upstairs (that situation could have easily escalated and turned horrible. But it broke my heart to see Jason offer his support to OP while having his soon to be wife confessing and having feeling for OP and then probably finding out that his ex finaceé moved in with OP.Ouch OP should just focus on himself and his daughter ane stay far away from jason and avoid trouble .
Fact that Jason attacked OP makes me think Brie was either already a victim of some amount of abuse or could sense something was wrong about Jason and then latched onto OP because he isn't a wolf in sheep's clothing to her. Trauma victims tend to bond hard to the people that treat them well, part of why abusers will cut them off from friends and family, because it allows them to step in and fuck up the bonds by being the one that gets bonded to.
Orrrr he was just pissed off that the guy best friend she likely told him not to worry about a million times, was taking his fiance.. This chick is a fkn 304 that threw Op in the friend zone until she hit 34yrs old.. Shes not some victim that's being abused....
Or just mybe he was angry and distraught when he learned Brie no longer wanted to get married and had feelings for op I’m not excusing his behavior but I can see y he reacted lik tht an even op understood. This def reinforces the keep a close eye on if ur trying to date/be in a relationship with someone who has friends of the opposite sex not sayin this always happens but better 2 be safe than heartbroken.
Or maybe, she lied to Jason, telling him op returns her feelings. This way he became the bad guy and she got her way into op's house. Awfully convenient.
Brie is 100% going to not leave OP's house until she manages to start a relationship, OP just doesn't realize it yet
Bre is a 304. She just lives for the excitement of a new relationship. She would dump or cheat on OP the moment she gets bored.
From what it seems, she never really had feelings for Jason but chose to remain with him so she wouldn’t be alone.

Oh man, what a mess. I hope it works out for them all

@@demonvictimomg I think you cracked the case!
The last thing his daughter needs is a step mom like that
Brie is a carousel rider. Hope op realizes it and does not give her the time of the day.
This whole thing makes no sense but whatever.
