You’re right but wrong. An ankle monitor cannot tell if you’ve been drinking alcohol from your sweat. But a SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor) bracelet can! These bracelets are worn on the ankle, which may be why OP summarized or misunderstood it as an ankle monitor. When I looked this up, there’s a confusing sentence that says “a SCRAM device cannot provide a blood alcohol concentration measurement”, but that doesn’t mean it can’t tell if someone has consumed alcohol. Just doesn’t do it by blood, and to my knowledge doesn’t provide exact percentages.
