    I mentioned to Grady a few years ago that they should make a table top book of all of his guitars. Now that James has done the Messenger book and it was well received, would be perfect time.

    13:37 I have Dimebags hand sketch of this guitar when he was designing it with Washburn. He drew it to detail on a piece of paper exactly as he wanted it and signed it. Authenticated and everything. Neat lore to share.

    That’s awesome Attila 👍 I got to hang out with pantera in 96 except Phil, waited outside back stage for 2 hours, saw there van take off so we followed them and they went to another venue, got in the venue for free because we were part of pantera crew😆 I think Gwen stefani was playing, as a guitarist I just chilled and drank with dime and Rex, vinnie wasn’t in a good mood he told my brother to F off when he asked for a signature from his hero😆 but got all there signatures except Phil and still have that Tshirt unwashed since 96, I remember we asked dime for a souvenir and in his voice loudly he said THE RAIN MAAAN CLOSE THE DAMN DOOR, ( it was raining) and that was it…. memory done😁 then met Phil in 2018 and got the Tshirt finished 😊 still got the ticket too with dime Rex and big Val’s signature…. Like Cher sing if I could turn back time😆

    Dimebag Darrell was inspired by my Dime 333, which I had him sign in May 2000 at a signing event at Virgin in Paris. I had drawn an upside-down cross on it, and he loved the idea and turned it into a signature model. It's special for me to see it. I should be getting paid for this, guys!

    Hey, thanks so much for sharing this tour and Dimebag's guitars. I recently got the Dean Dimebag razorback Cemetery Gates signature guitar. They body is in almost perfect condition but they don't have the black n white pick-ups, they are both black and taped in. The other one sits low on one side and high on the other side. I bought it off of Reverb and after receiving the guitar, I asked about the top pick-ups that are held in with electric tape and the other one, and to my surprise, they tild me that I must not know much about Dimebag and that they did that to get his tone. I call BS. I've never known Dimebag to do anything like this to his pick-ups. So I ask, am I wrong. Is this something I missed? I really don't think so but I figured someone on here would known. I would appreciate if someone could answer these questions. Thank you very much.

    • @AttilaVorosOfficial
      @AttilaVorosOfficial  8 месяцев назад +1

      The reason Dime (also Steve Vai...) puts electric tape there (only to the neck pu) so that the E1 string wouldn't get stuck under, which otherwise could and do happen.
      With Dime, it's mostly if not all due to being practical! All tweeks and whatnot are there for a reason! And it's OK to ask, Im happy to answer! ;)

    • @traceyrychewhite1874
      @traceyrychewhite1874 8 месяцев назад

      @@AttilaVorosOfficial, I appreciate that you took the time to answer me. Did Dime have the Seymour Duncan pickups sitting low on one side and high on the other? I never knew he did that. So awesome that you got to do this. I hope you get to cover some information on the amplifiers as well as more detail on the DFH. Too bad the FBD ML isn't there, for some reason that might be my favorite of his guitars, just love the color I guess. That tobacco burst Culprit was probably the coolest guitar. I wanted a Culprit back in the day, loved the design, but the lack of a V neck on the imports was a no go for me. I loved that you spoke about the necks and the weight, interesting details for sure. I have 5 Dean MLs with V necks, and they all vary slightly in thickness and sharpness as well. My Chinese slime reminds me the most of the neck from my Washburn D3 slime as far as being slimmer and fairly pronounced with the V shape. Of the three India built MLs I have, the slime has the thickest neck with a moderate V, the India DFH has a little less thickness with a softer V, and finally the India FBD ML has a little thinner neck with a very noticeable V. The Indias are also quite heavy, with the slime and DFH weighing in the 9 to 10 pound range, the FBD ML is probably a little under 9 pounds. Lastly, my Chinese DFH is light with a thinner soft V neck, and it plays really well, the neck is very flat and it can get real low action with no fret buzz.

    • @AttilaVorosOfficial
      @AttilaVorosOfficial  8 месяцев назад

      Super happy to read this! These are the details I was the most curious about other then "simply" touching the guitars, which in itself is just surreal to me:)
