this thing is jam packed full of ridiculous claims so we shall see just how it performs!
have you used it? what did you think of them?
60$ for two mechanicals is a very steep price... are they worth it?
check them out here they only have the 2.3 inch cut

both of these have been proven afield & on our pattern testing so i am stoked to put them side by side with as many loads as possible to see just where the difference is
Great review as always!! Again just like the 2.0 I think the gel is way too dense. Same thing happens with gator style heads that don’t lock open goes through gel. The insides of an animal are way softer than gel. Don’t get me wrong they are not worth the price at all and I wouldn’t shoot them lol 😂
Gel isn’t very good for broad heads , it’s cool and stuff but it’s made to stop bullets , just hard to mimic an animal is the problem..definitely interested in seeing them on some deer
We won’t hunt anything that does this poorly in our testing, our tests over the last 4-5 years has been proven effective afield when we let the performance talk, gel works great as a medium to view wound channel / cut etc one just has to utilize uncommon sense to understand it will be improved in game tissue
Its the Gel. Mechanicals suck with gel in general and guessing by the look and opacity of the gel its probably way more than 10% at this point. No hate just not a real test. All this test did was test its ability to adjust to dense matter.
Mechanicals don’t suck in gel only these do maybe watch our last test or ANY OTHER mechanical test we’ve done we have over 200 Broadhead tests
The design on these just suck for gel not anything else but that makes me unconfident with them as these tests have proved 100% effective in building a lethal setup afield over the 4-5 years of doing said testing
Dont have to worry about deployment on a single bevel!
Fixed single bevel crew 🤌🏽👌🏽
You have to be fixed single bevel using a compound bow they are slow but when you get to higher fps and higher FT LBS you can get best of the bigger mechanical broadheads get a crossbow
@EricBynog-zd4rd you definitely DO NOT need to be fixed with a compound that is actually just crazy to say lol
We have over 100 tests proving that is just silly ahahah
@@EricBynog-zd4rd you're not real bright huh
Amen to that!! And resharpenable!!
Gel in my opinion is horrible for broadhead testing, yes some out performe others but its nothing even close to any animal.I do watch and support your channel, and will continue.
We all have our opinions! We’ve seen to much translate honestly from using this testing to afield to discredit it
When you take it as you see it it does yield information that is very useful
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSAthere’s been zero cases of heads closing in the cavity of an animal like it does in gel. Gel is simply a poor test of wound Chanel and penetration.
There’s been far too many test showing heads going through cavities and I recall precisely zero having this issue from any brand.
There’s not a single part of any animal that correlates with ballistic gel
@jwild5360 amazing how over 150+ different broadheads only this one did this bad…. Even the other they stole the spring design from performed flawlessly in this style test…
If it works for you use them I’ll just use my brain and realize $30 per head for a mechanical you use once is a INSANELY stupid waste of money
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I’ve seen rage, sevr, mega meat, and numerous others not open fully inside gel.
those 150 other heads do not have this technology. Like I said there’s precisely ZERO evidence of this happening inside a body cavity. There lots of videos showing quite the opposite.
It’s faulty for your test. But nobody on earth is using this head for gel. It works as designed when shot at what it was designed to be shot at.
This is like shooting a 9mm into a 20 inch concrete block and saying wellll guess the 9mm is faulty it’s failing the test. The 9mm when shot through the brain has a 100 percent success rate. lol
A kitchen knife isn’t made to cut down trees. To no surprise it will fail that test. It wasn’t designed for that.
This head wasn’t designed to hunt gel. The results are 100 percent meaningless to the real world.
As for me I’ll stick to stainless steel or titanium.
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA your taking the technology that separates this head from the others and using it against it. This very technology that causes it to fail your test is the technology that shines when tested inside of what it was designed to be shot at. You literally took its biggest strength and found a medium to make it its weakness.
I’ll refer back to guns. A shotguns biggest strength is it has the ability to shoot multiple pieces of lead into a human while not penetrating through all the walls in the house and killing people you didn’t intend to kill
If you test the shotgun for penetration through concrete it’s not Gona do great it’s going to fail the test. So in that test it’s a negative. In the real world when used as intended that single feature is its biggest asset.
With how tough hyde tendons and arteries can be id be scared that this broadhead will struggle to cut lethal tissue inside a game animal especially if the blades hit some bone on the entry and they dull slightly.
I mean I’ve seen people have success with them but just for me personally I base what I hunt with off of our tests and it’s been proving to yield setups that are very successful afield so u don’t plan on changing that
It seems counter-productive, that as the the head starts to enter something, the blades then slap open with a blistering 940mph opposing force.
It’s so fast physics don’t matter
how can you compare ballistic gel to the lung cavity of a deer.
We don’t never even said that once
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I doubt I would ever use those mechanicals but the design isn’t intended for the blades to be deployed in ballistic gel but collapse when going through the ribs.
@jeffer321 neither is any other Broadhead out of our 200+ tests so far yet this is the only one with these issues
Give me a sevr any day of the week, or grim reaper whitetail special extreme .
Both are lethal!!!!
I think the issue here is that the springs are made to be bone avoiding for more penetration. The gel is simply just too dense and collapses the springs so it's not going to open up. The gel just isn't the right medium for this test on this particular broadhead. I think if you watch Bowmar's latest video of the technology working with actual hide and organs you will see the technology works. You are missing out on what the actual technology claim is here with your setup.
I’ll stick with our test style as it’s been proven to yield data that directly translates to the woods and has been proven in all 3 of our setups…
I’ll stick with that
It’s a good video but you have to keep in mind that gel is a hell of a lot denser than vitals would be on any animal.
We do say this every test lol
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I get where you guys are coming from. I’ve watched videos of bowman’s kills using those broad heads and the results speak for themselves
@@Secondhandstoke literally every head has results that speak for themselves at some point
If people would actually listen to what we say in the videos you’d understand we literally say this in them… if they work for you hell ya that’s all that matters we just speak our opinions on them from what we see… how you receive and utilize that is up to you we don’t push anything or try to change anyone it’s just our opinions
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I respect that man!
Did you just say.. The jell gave it the Ol’ Hock Tuah 🤣 I guess I won’t be picking that up at the local Cabalas. Priceless 💥
🤣🤣😘 yessir!
I could see these accidentally deploying in the quiver then I gotta get my little finger condoms out during a freezing morning to fix it. There’s too much to go wrong in bow hunting not to use a good fixed blade. But to each their own.
Agreed!
What happens is compound bow guys try to use crossbow Broadheads’s and they are not going to work a lot of the mechanical heads are designed with FPS in mind which gives you all the other things needed to work the head correctly and crossbow guys try using compound heads thru crossbows that have issues due to higher FPS best advice I can give you is if your using a compound bow find a fixed head tooth of arrow etc style stick with that if you use a crossbow find you a tough mechanical Broadhead you like stick with it I use the sevr broadhead and have had good luck with it even it has its limits thru a crossbow but now the 1.75 is out seems to have corrected some of there bent tip issues
This wasn’t a fps issue
We all hunt with fixed heads on our setups as it has proven best through our testing and again proved itself afield… it’s really hard to beat a good fixed head
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA yes you all use compound bows so you are forced to use fixed blade heads
@@EricBynog-zd4rdIt isn't a crossbow head.....
Have you guys tried Zeus broadheads? They are a similar concept would like to see how they compare in the test you guys have done
Their fixed head? Or did they make something new?
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA they have fixed bleeders but the main cut collapses on bone a redeploys on tissue atleast thats the plan would be cool to see some test on it tho!
@lukeengland2413 we have tested the Zeus head when they first came out
Here’s the link
ruclips.net/video/A0MoXLEcXcw/видео.htmlsi=RhmEiza4MwFEAs5g
Well I guess technically it is a fixed broadhead but curious how well the blades spring back after passing through bone
Did you watch the link I sent?
Bowmar said they’ve poached a pile of deer with these and never had one not stay open….
Ooo boy lol
Great job guys! The Bowmars are all over social media trying to prove the design on fruit and other materials.
Any broadhead that requires springs to keep the blades open are just too prone to fail. The sevr is one of the best designs out there, just for the simple fact that the blades lock open!
Well I think they tried to make their own version of the sevr after years of hunting with them and just found out the sevr is designed how it needs to be to achieve what the design sets out to do
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA very possible, and it seems like they over complicated it for an outrageous price!
Gotta make those broadheads where they lock open , bad design .
I agree
I do think your comments about the Broadhead are not on par with your comment about the Sevr. You praised the sevr and bash this head but the wound channel wasn’t a lot different from the camera view. Also, do you think ballistic gel, designed for bullets is a great representation for broadhead? Maybe you should use a softer gel.
The wound channel was a ton different as there was a full wound channel with the Sevr… clear as day
This test has worked on 150+ broadheads and the results we’ve found from using common sense when analyzing the tests have lead us all to the perfect broadheads for our setups so no I do not think these tests are inaccurate as they work perfect for us
Who needs a broadhead with a set of teeth like that!
🦗 🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗
Thanks guys the design willnot work because the blades time to lock and it's forward motion stops that and they close. I don't know how it made it to market
Interesting
time will tell.
I am going to try the 2 inch.. The dude made a frontal shot on cape Buffalo at 100 yards. i am sure it ain't going to have problems with deer at 30 yards.
@allenr6687 I’ll stick to broadheads that work in our testing
Slick trick Torch next?
Haven’t seen that one let me get my hands on some
please test the Torch. Please!!!@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
I'd be afraid they wouldn't open. Crazy over priced
Yessir!
Not sold
My man!
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA what’s up my friend? Great video sirs
@groundrootsoutdoors627 thanks man! Just got outta the gym 💪🏽
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA yes sir. I turn 50 this year and I have come full circle. I’m a gym rat again and am loving it. I love this series y’all do on the broadhead reviews. Keep it up. Oh bout to have my testing grounds done and got new ink. Keep up the crazy good content y’all. Blessings
Check out this much more detailed review below
I’d rather go with our video that’s why we posted it
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA have you tried it in an animal? Never seen two pairs of socks used as hide before, it seemed as though y'all were trying to make it not functional and 60 bucks for two broadheads. If a broadheads 30 bucks, I take an elk, with 3500 in meat, why would I care about 30 bucks or if I could use the head again. In my opinion the broadhead should be the most expensive one you can buy it's the first thing that comes in contact with the animal. But your review was interesting
@gettothepointarchery7932 why would I try to make it not functional I bought these I want them to perform well 🤣🤣 next why would we try it in an animal if it performed like this we’ve done this style testing with over 200 tests now and this was the first to not open
To be fair their BA design is probably the culprit but regardless we let the performance talk the rest walk
Lastly as I said in the video if it works for you hell ya that’s awesome it’s just not for us I’ll stick with my $45 for 6 kayuga pilot cut gen 2’s and never need to buy broadheads again
@gettothepointarchery7932 also it’s not about having the most expensive Broadhead it’s about having the most performance out of the Broadhead for your setup
That may be something cheaper it may be more expensive but it should be based solely on performance in the archers eyes to his setup
It will vary from person to person
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA just checked those broadheads, they look legit, I'll order some up amd see how they fly.
It's funny watching people who don't understand anything do broadhead reviews. DRRRRRRR
Ooo we do it’s actually really simple….
He's on both vids saying something similar lol, he must be a bowman fan
Dry shoulder blade is a terrible test. Need to be fresh,
The results we have got has proven to be good information gained based on performance afield in the setups we use based on our testing
No matter what people will be unhappy there is literally no way around that this test style has proved successful in yielding us great information
I'll stay far away from the Beast broadheads even if you give to me for free!!
Had to test them out and give them a fair shake…
Not impressive
YEA ITS BOMAR FRAUD SEND MORE MONEY
Interesting!
Ill stick with my ironwill single bevels. Bowmar seems like a f%g anyway
I don’t care about him in this we just care about the performance at hand
The Broadhead did as designed though as the blades avoided the resistance but it’s just not my cup of tea, $60 for two heads is literally stupid
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA I wouldn't support him if he designed a boone&crocket seeking broadhead lol
I hear ya but we have to keep the bias out of our tests we only care about the performance at hand as always
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA fair enough, im just talking shit lol
still over priced junk
It works for some but I’m just not going to use these
I’m sorry but anything the bowmars push I shy away from. Those two are absolute trash to the hunting community
I hear ya but regardless we had to test this head it’s been asked for a ton
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSAI get it. I’m actually surprised the bowmars haven’t come out with a video of them taking down a T-Rex with their broadhead. That would be fitting for them and add to their claims as the best hunters on the planet.
