Its so crazy that a budget bow is $650...but flagship bows are up to 2k!!!! Thats insane. Maybe things will get better after November...but the archery industry is out of control with pricing...arrow rests costing $250 sights costing $500 just insane and most components are made in china
Glad it's not just me that feels this way. And all they have to say is it shoots 5 FPS faster than last year's model...smh...now that $800 bow is $1300...for 5 more fps....LOL...ridiculous.
I thought I was alone with feeling extorted. Saddle companies are falling in line with the overpricing also. Like the economy is just flourishing for all right now.. smh

Budget?? Why not something that could compete at a true price? Salida, Topoint, Junxing have what I would say are "budget" bows, but still good. They're at that $300 USD mark. Half the price. That's budget
People complaining about a $650 bow probably watching this video on a $800 phone they replace every couple years because the fruit company tells them to. Lol.
Agreed. The bow I was the most accurate with was a Bear Bow I bought from a dude in a Bass Pro parking lot. Became a brand hoe and have shot hoyt and mathews for the past several years. I'm thinking about going back to a Bear.

But it had great reviews and highly recommended. My budget was $700 RTH. So it was just over my limit. Thank you for good input.
I shoot the bear adapt single cam when I get out the wheel bow... $500 bucks new and that thing shoots lights out !!! It's light, ultra quiet and crazy accurate.... Throw in the simplicity of the single cam makes for a fantastic wheel bow...
I was very interested in this bow until I started hearing about limbs splintering. Darton is a stand up company and will take care of it if it happens I just don’t have a dealer nearby to deal with it for me.
Mr. P.J. 'Every bow is awesome' Riley. I really can't see how anyone would take this guy or his reviews very seriously. I have NEVER heard him say the phrase, ' things I dislike about this bow '
We choose an arrow with a stiff enough spine for the draw weight and point weight we're shooting, then adjust the bow for tuning by changing center shot (small increments) and cam lean with yolks or shims.
I’ve watched every review I can find on the Darton Consequence and I’ve never noticed that sound being heard from the other bows? In the video that MFJJ and Tim Connor made on budget bows, they remarked how quiet the Consequence was. I would be interested to see you disassemble this bow and go through it to see if something is not as it should be. Or can you, or anyone comment on if this is normal for this bow? Video audio doesn’t always pick up what you would, if you were present.
Mine does not sound like this at all. It’s completely quiet. I shot it all these bows except the Prime and it was the most quiet. Something is going on with this particular bow.
I currently own a Bowtech REALM I bought used this year as it was in perfect condition. I have a Hoyt Power Max I bought at a gun shop while purchasing a pistol and saw they had the bow ( with the string off the cams) and it was a left hand which I am. The guy saw me eyeballing it and said "it's yours for 100.00 if you want it". Another great condition bow once I inspected it.....sold! I have a old solo cam Cabelas Instigator built by Bowtech I bought the year they came out, I was definitely on a budget back then as I'd had all my hunting gear stolen which included my Mathews Switchback I'd killed so many deer with and loved it. I also have an old PSE Brute X split limb I'd found at another gun shop and was priced right. I bought it 2 years before the Cabelas bow. With all that being said..... the Bowtech REALM has the best draw cycle but it's the heaviest bow I've ever shot and I wish I'd never had bought it ( ebay purchase) without holding it first. My 100.00 Hoyt Power Max is super light and shoots fantastic, I killed a nice 8 pt. last year with it. My Cabelas bow is even lighter, super light at that and shoots great. It killed a deer the first year I had it. My PSE is another heavy boat anchor that performs great other than its excessive weight. My Hoyt is getting all the new accessories I'd bought for the Bowtech REALM swapped onto it for my go to bow, my cheap Cabelas will back it up in case of emergencies, my PSE is retired and the new ( to me ) Bowtech is going to the first left handed shooter that flashes me 400.00. I paid 500.00 for it 2 months ago, it has brand new limbs and the QAUD drop away rest that has the Bowtech insignia on it. The Cabelas Instigator is a solid limb bow, barely over 3 pounds and for a inexpensive package bow is as accurate as a bow can possibly be and is a smoker at 70 pounds DW. It is strikingly comparable cosmetically to the APA Mamba, just a shade shorter. The Bowtech just dropped to 350.00........ 🦌🤺
