Yes family could step in. But it will only make it worse if she's unable to stand up for herself. They need to teach her to stand up for herself and self defense classes (how to fight). That it's ok to stand up for yourself and sometimes you have to fight back. I was bullied as a kid until I had enough and stood up for myself. When that happened the entire lunch room got quite you could hear a pin drop and mouths were gapping open. I let them know you want to throw down let's go but the only body that the EMT was picking up from the ground was theirs. So show me we you want picked up, let's go. They just sat down and I wasn't bullied again in that school. People who bully have different reasons they do it. Some are abused at home and don't know how to get help. Or they just have a bad home life, so they act out. Some it's because they're projecting on to others what they feel about themselves. Some they're just Aholes. None of it is ok. One thing all bullies have in common. If you stand up to them they'll leave you alone. They prey on who they think are weak and won't fight back. Yes I have stood up for my kid as a warning to them and let them know this is their 1st, and last warning. That it better stop and what will happen if it doesn't. I'm not nice and sweet when I talk either. I teach my daughter no matter what even if you get your butt kicked stand up for yourself. If you get your butt kick will train you better in fighting. Stand up again because the next time you'll give them a beating they won't forget. The schools teach you can't hit back, just tell them to stop, ect ect. Which is only making it harder for kids to stand up or fight back. My daughter knows and I make the school aware of MY rules. I've told her and them I'm her mother I out rank you what I say goes. If she's being bullied and has to fight back she won't get in trouble with me. If the school suspends her I'm coming in giving her a high five saying I hope you broke their nose let's get ice cream. Momma's rules. 1-Always tell me what's going on. 2- give the bully a chance to stop. Tell them to leave you alone. 3- if they do it again let the teacher have a chance to handle it by telling them. 4- if it happens again give the principal a chance let your principal know. 5- if it happens again. As hard as you can punch the kid straight in the nose. She been shown how to punch and put her weight into. She's 11 and 5'4. I told her my rules go and I've already informed teachers and the principal. Because at that point my daughter tried it their way. They didn't handle it so now we're gonna handle it. Then when we're meeting at the principal's office. I'm going to have a talk with the teachers, principal, parents, and bully that none of them are going to like. They'll also be warned it happens again my daughter's older sisters are going to round up all their cousins. That's the same age as the kid and stop their kid's A**. So she hasn't had really any problems.
As someone that was bullied in school this song speaks volume to me in so many ways the funny thing is those same kids are now some of my best clients as a travel agent. They have always told me they are so sorry for everything they put me through and I told them well if anything it made me part of who I am. I think this song speaks tremendous volume to those who have been bullied and or those who are the bully/aggressor that no matter what you do we as the victims will never break.

Not only is it just a straight up awesome song, the video and lyrics reminded me of challenges I’ve faced growing up. I just showed the video to my young boys and was in tears showing them imagining if they had to go through what I did. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this song.
