EDIT: Additionally, Korn, Papa Roach, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park are other bands that fused rock and heavy metal with hip-hop well before Hollywood Undead formed in 2005.
Point is, Hollywood Undead is far from the first, the fusion of rap and rock music's origins go back to at least 1986, and it's been populular in the mainstream since the early 1990s.
From Ashes to New can't rip off Hollywood Undead's sound when their sound existed before most, if not all, of both bands had even been born.

Been a fan of these guys since their early days. They’ve always been making great music, but they’re just criminally underrated at this point!

Some people just can’t see perfection even when they have it right in front of them. Only the ones who searches and can see deeply more beyond than the surface, can notice them.
its because people cant see past the fact that everyone from lp made this band awhile after chester died.
Adding more grit to Matt's raps and backing vocals really ups the intensity of the deliver. I think that's one of the things I felt was missing in the older part of the FATN catalog. Harmonizing with Danny was fire too. I like.
This is the sound I miss from them I think they should have gone down the HWU 2.0 route not the LP 2.0 route their debut EP is still my fav music from them
Just makes me wonder what Chris Musser would've sounded like on the song... oh the memories. I miss the old FATN. But this new sound is promising! Seems they go back to the "Day One" sound they had.

I’ve been a fan for awhile and this song hits so much different with both beat and lyrics!!! By far my favorite one!!!!
I saw them in a concert on April 24th last year along with three days grace and Shinedown. An amazing band and I love that they connect with fans. For example ther was little boy in the pit and the lead singer asked him what he wanted to be when grows up. That I will never forget. More bands should be like this and really connect with their fans. Keep up the good work ❤️

The delivery of the lyricism in this is nuts
This band reminds me of what Linkin Park sounded like during the Hybrid Theory and Meteora Era. They're redefining that old school nu metal sound, and if those two LP albums were recorded without the turntables or keyboards, they would've sounded just like FATN.

I like how they've started developing their own style. Before, they sounded like a Linkin Park tribute band, which isn't a bad thing given how LP are an incredible band, but it didn't feel like it did their talent the respect it deserved. This kind of style is more unique and I love it.

These choads undoubtedly would do anything to be like LP...but it's 2022, and no one would care even if they could match LP's legendary level of monotonous crap.
This band is the equivalent of a black and white TV set that is desperately trying to show people it is a color TV set that gets 5 channels and has a rabbit antenna.

I'm gonna have to strongly disagree on that one. Day One sounded really fresh and from ashes to new had a really unique hard hitting sound back then, with sick riffs, sometimes weird synths, genius vocal parts and great lyrics. The songs sounded different from each other and you instantly knew it was them. After that, I feel like they've been on a continuous decline, and while some of the parts are still well made, and you can tell there's a lot of talent and effort put into those songs, it's just nothing memorable. Now the lyrics are often rather cringey, and on the surface all the songs are exactly the same, seemingly trying to appeal to a new, angsty tiktok teen audience. They've turned from a bold and promising newcomer with heartfelt lyrics and great parts on every instrument and every vocal style from singing to rapping to screaming, into just another one of those bland, commercial, wannabe badass, pseudo deep boybands that, despite theoretically being able to write good and refined music, don't bring anything new or exciting to the table.
This still heavily sounds like LP and old HU, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Why do FATN songs sound so serious all the time? This one gives a very serious vibe. It feels like they compose songs expressing the tragedy and the difficulties of their lives. They're a nu metal band, and nu metal is one of the darkest metal subgenres due to its typical lyrical themes (depression, suicide, anxeity, angst, etc.), it takes a lot after grunge in that sense.

Came from a dark place. Made from the heartache. Two lines that pretty much sum up my return from the level below rock bottom. Great song. But then again, I have yet to hear a bad one from FATN.
This is why this kind of band works. Matt is the anchor in nearly every song, DG rapping to perfection. Danny while he can hold his own as a beast, he alone can carry. But both combined, amazing. They both offer vocals the other can't, which is why this stuff works.
