The Genesis Series is a Syntac Adventure in the New Genesis Part 2 DLC Map for Ark Survival Evolved. In this series Syntac will progress in the Lifeboat Spaceship by taming fantastical creatures like the Stealthy Assassin Shadowmane, the Mind Controlling Noglin and the Space Dolphin Astrodelphis! Once he has completed the dangerous missions the lifeboat has in store for him he can face the Element Infused Rockwell for the final time to save the Arks!

theres a few creatures that are immune to noglins like the R-reapers can't be mind controlled and can be used in rockwells innards just fine.

When doing missions and checking your loot afterwards, set your inventory order to "Unsorted". This will cause the newest items to appear at the bottom so you can tell what you got more easily.

I've seen a carniflora eat a seagull, it was amazing! You can kill the moving plants with anything flame related and harvest the still ones for element shards,spoiled meat and black pearls

the tek pistol is ideal for alpha hunting. For raptors and carnos just net them then build the damage up, for rexes just hover above.
Also best option for void wyvern taming imo, swapping between stun and damage for easy tame.
Prolly best for reaper queens to, but I haven't tried it yet.

When genesis first came out it was pretty ridiculous how difficult some of the missions were, but now that we have gen 2 I almost feel like it kinda fair. Cause the gen 2 missions are easier, but the loot really isn't that great, meanwhile some of the mission loot on genesis was ridiculous, you can get straight up tek armor from relatively easy missions. I kinda wanna go back and compare now that I have some good creatures
Noglin only exist when you don't want them.
About the homing mine, it only targets enemy players, not wild dinos. So for PVE it’s worthless.
Damn thats a disappointment. Could have been a real game changer if it targeted wild dinos.

If you have a Grinder, then resources.
There used to be a bug where after a noglin controlled your creature it would turn wild. In order to get it back you had to retame it, and that was insane with high level creatures with good saddles.
You’re so lucky that this didn’t happen before it was patched lol

@Syntac pro tip. Change the sort of your inventory to unsorted when you get new stuff. It'll be at the bottom of your inventory. Change it back after.

@@colewilliams3621 Maybe the noglin doesn't exactly control it but causes it to rage out and wreck everything whilst it feeds off it (meaning it even attacks it's owners, it's just uncontrollably upset); so it's not exactly telling it what to do, it just pisses off the giga enough to where it attacks things around it. At least I think this would made sense!

The shinehorn is tamed with aggeravic mushrooms the featherlights are tamed with auric mushrooms and the glowtails are tamed with ascerbic mushrooms

After a Noglin attaches to a creature, and after it finishes it, a timer should start. And that’s why when ur taming it, you need multiple creatures.

Never underestimate the reach of a Noglin

Here is some advice on how to tame a Noglin. Tame six R Carbonemys, then put them in a hexagonal cage, make sure the turtles are all on passive and have really high amounts of health. Then immobilize the Noglin and pick it up with a Pteranodon, and put it inside the hexagonal cage.
If you want a perfect tame you need to use either brontos or voidwyrms, as they are the only ones to give 20% each. (If a noglin isn't tamed after feeding on 5 creatures its effectiveness rapidly drops)
Carniflora is only dangerous when its moving/has health thingy. Like, the ones you encountered when doing alpha hunt mission were just the carnivorous plants, you can harvest them for some spoiled meat/elem.shards, they are not dangerous at all.

Protip: Noglins spawn everywhere around the broken tek trench in the middle of the Rockwell biome, as well as in the Rockwell's innards biome
They're rare in the broken tek trench and extremely common in the innards. My source? Getting noglin'd the same way and not being able to find another one in the broken tek trench for over an hour and then having 5 of them take 5 of my 10 shadowmane attack force, including the one I was riding and killing me inside the innards. Fun.
You can buy the Plant Species XYZ Seeds from HLN-A, but dont forget that the glow pets also take the different Abberation Mushrooms as well which you can but in her from bulk or harvest from mushrooms around Rockwells Garden
You don’t have to worry about missing footprints in gen 2, as long as you get to where you need to be the hunt creatures will show up. They fixed that after gen 1
Have never even touched underwater mines in Ark before, now I know exactly why I shouldn't, now and forever
You don't need to worry about noggins to much, they seem to be quite rare from my experiences.

Hey syntac just as a tip the groups of carniflora mainly won’t move and can be harvested for black pearls but there could be alive ones in the groups so be cautious
a noglin is unable to control a titano, but I don’t know who would have a titano sitting around ready for adventure, especially since you can’t cryopod one

The maximum percentage that you can get for tek equipment is 250% , but idk why but the tek bow isn't like that for some reason , since you got one with like + 400% dmg tho

I think the corrupted ring used to be identical in that it had the same climate and creatures, not necessarily the exact terrain. Also, I feel like the trenches in the Garden might be drained a fair bit too.

Me and my brother were only killing Carniflora with an explosive or flaming arrow from a tek bow, but we didn't try the normal burning arrow.

You can bring gigas to genesis part one, but be careful Syntac! The brute creatures, especially on alpha, can rage your gigas quickly!
once a noglin attaches to a creature it will not return to that creature for some time. so the only tame you can use to get 100% taming effectiveness is the voidwyrm because you get 20% from one voidwyrm and once it latches to one then another until it's attached to 5 separate voidwyrms. after 5 creatures are used the taming effectiveness will go down by an additional 10% for each additional creature used to tame it. that's why it's best to net the noglin build a small box trap around it. then a larger circular trap of big Dino gates around that. take out 5 voidwyrms and then shoot the noglin with a tranquilizer gun to reset it's tame before you open the smaller box trap. using voidwyrm is the only way to get 100% or the brachey but that's not practical having 5 brachey's in a pen. this advent makes getting mutations on the voidwyrm essential to taming not just a noglin but also the basilisks and making top tier kibble
