Btw Syntac there are Regular variants to just about all of the R variants Allos and Dilos Queztals brontos are separated you will find regular in edin and R in the garden. Be warned R Gigas do Spawn in Eden biome I have seen several. But creatures like the Megatherium Parasaur and apparently velonosaur mix them in the same biome. I have yet to see a regular Snow Owl or Dire Wolf though
Syntac tames everything he sees and he never touches it again
Nah its not him its me. I always tame something i dont need and never use it again lol
@@kartim110 but some creatures are pretty useless compared to others like thyla completely outclassing sabers same goes for shadowmanes
@@hmmmmmm420 ye. But i just said that i do too lol
Same here, I always start a mutation stack but usually they stay there stuck at 3 melee mutations never to be let out of the love cave lol
Very relatable. Oh look a pretty colored (insert name here)! And then I tame it and never use it 😐
The arm and the spyglass look like how everything loads in on Xbox
One of the reasons y I switched to pc
would you rather PlayStation or Xbox?
@@hypothetic1 xbox isn't as lagy
@@hypothetic1 tho I belive ps5 ark is better than ps4
And that is why I play ark on ps4
in case you didn't know: you can tame basilisks in this map with Voidwyrm Eggs. And you can tame mantai with rhino horns so no one will bother again EVER with killing a deathworm XD
Thanks for the info.
@@petertdh np
I see you also thought of mantai rather than manti ;)
@@nomorebrine9248 if i said "mant-I
will it be better?
Damn bro thanks for the info
In my experience, the r velonasaurs only spawn in the northern areas of the map and the ordinary ones spawn everywhere else, basically the northern third of the rockwell biome is where you're gonna find r-velonasaurs.
The breath of the voidwyrm isnt only just for breaking structures, it hits players off of their mounts and drains players health more
Yes but in pve you never have to do that so his point still stands
@@Zordlistair it also stuns wild creatures and knocks fliers out of the sky, so the breath still has it's uses.
@@Going4Broke2528 No it doesn't have any uses in PvE. A millisecond stun on wild creatures isn't remotely useful.
How many times has Syntac said "you can net a Yutyrannus" in this series 🤔
A billion
Probably
21:00 you know the one you did the tek run to kills- are already dead? The only ones that attacks you are the one that are open
And you can tell cause the dead ones don't move at all, whereas the living ones move slightly when they're idle.
I believe that the lightning can hit you i was taming some managarmrs with my friend and when it was knocked i kept taking random damage
It happened to me when I was tamming a shadowmane.
There’s a glitch with the mana when it’s knocked out it still uses its ice breath but you can’t see it
The purple lightning doesn't do damage, it hit me and didn't do anything
@@petertdh 🧢
I guess it’s time to sacrifice the velonosaur to the carniflora.
I love the timing of you posting videos, I always wake up to one of your videos to watch and it makes my day
Syntac will tame everything new for sure, he'll go crazy on taming and mutation
4:10 from what i know fire is an option. If you want to kill multiple at the same time Just use a flametrhower or the tek bow fire arrow
The bunched-up Carniflora that barely move are actually resource nodes, not creatures. They can be harvested for black pearls, element shards, and spoiled meat, and you can tell them apart because they're in large groups. The dangerous ones are always by themselves.
@@Going4Broke2528 not from what i see cuz many times there's alwais ar least 1 Alive near the dead ones
Need the red and green maewings bred together and name the baby 'traffic light' lol
now to get an orange
When you're taming carnivores/exploring the map and may want to pick a nice level one you run across up there's a really simple and effective trick I've been using for quite a while - breed/tame up a spare Ovis (I breed mine and keep a stockpile at my base for convenience, but taming is also fine) and just keep it in a cryo pod/soul ball in your inventory, then throw it out and slaughter it as needed. This acts as a workaround for spoil time and (less importantly) weight issues of carrying mutton with you at all times, especially if you're not running a stack mod. I keep one on me at all times - it's named "Snack Pack". If you're planning a taming spree, you may want multiple ones. Hope this helps :)
4:05 you can only tek run through the ones that are already dead (the harvestable, non-moving ones). The living ones can only be killed with fire.
10:30 I can confirm; the astrodelphis is breedable, and it is a live birth
Hey Syn - Ya gotta get dangerously close to them to do it,
but ya can burn down the live, active Carnifloras with a FlameThrower.
29:27
Velonosaur’s throwin a tantrum!😂😂😂
Those pots in the water where the underwater entrances are are also super nice taming traps! Lovely video
I can't wait to watch all the way through after work! :)
I feel like Syn should try make a Maewing that looks like Perry the Platypus, and that can utilise the cyan stomach and the turquoise back. Unfortunately the beak colours aren't very bright and the brightest orange was actually the orange he got on the beak in the previous episode
Syntac: I don’t have any mutton or kibble on me…
Casually eats three pieces of mutton
The carniflora you can harvest with tames and a pick for shards and black pearls, the only Carniflora you have to worry about are the ones which track your movement but you can use flame arrows or a flame thrower on them.
The net gun is also nice for taming quetzals. So much easier. They drop out the sky & you can quickly build a trap around them.
Beehives on cliffsides all over eden, dung beetles all over rockwell's garden. So glad they didnt put them in the innards XD. Also, there is a redwoods area in the south west portion of eden.
I just realized I have been watching Syntac's ark videos since ark's early access release. I was so young then. To those who were around then too, take a moment to think about how long ago that was.
The Velonasaur and R-Velonasaur do spawn in slightly different areas, but it's still confusing. Maybe use
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Spindles_Character_BP_C", ToClassName="Spindles_Character_BP_Rockwell_C")
if it annoys you as much as me.
Syntac I actually like the fact that there is R and non R variants it creates more of a variety like it also makes the R variants feel more Rare I actually really like that feature
I don't like that feature. It makes taming the R variants for breeding too much of a pain in the ass.
@@GeorgeMonet I understand but personally I think it’s more realistic
@@burritoboy2246 yeah
I noticed imeadiatly that he tamed a normal Velo first and I had the biggest smile on my face till he realized. That has to to go in a compilation or something cause that was great, lmao.
I'm surprised it took him that long to figure it out, considering that it literally flashed in his face.
Astrodelphis are super easy to tame. Just lead one over to a couple of stone gateways and trap it in there. Then you just stay in the trap with it and spam feed element and pet it. And by the way yes they are breedable
Syn I think the idea of some R and some regular ones is cause Rockwell hasnt corrupted ALL the creatures even in the Rockwell biome quite yet.
I think they have both normal and R-varieties on this map is because rockwell is slowly corrupting all the normal creatures into R-creatures, to show that he hasn't been there that long and this is due to his corruption and not because of a long-term environmental impact? If that makes sense.
Crystal Wyverns do not do friendly fire damage! Makes it really annoying when you switch between normal and Crystal wyverns for culling babies 😂
Allo: oh human tastes better than mantis. Makes beeline for syntac 🤣
The Carniflora that are all grouped together aren't dangerous, and can be harvested for spoiled meat, black pearls, and element shards. Those are the ones you've been breaking by Tek running, because they're considered resource nodes instead of creatures.
I’m hoping for some R variant velosaur mutations
I waited to see how long it would take him to notice he tamed a regular velanosaur and needless to say it took forever
I made the same mistake when taming mine. I got 2 regular Veloasaurs among the 6 or so R-Velonasaurs that I tamed. I was so upset with myself for not noticing. I paid closer attention after that, though.
Velonosaur is my favourite creature, i am so hyped to get r variant when i finish other dlcs that i have not finished yet
Syntac: *gets mind melted by regular Velonasaur and R-Velonasaur*
Ark: *Deception has increased to 100*
crypod your fish for later use ... just learned that last night! So if you find high weight fish, you dont have to use them right away
Syntac: what the hell was my arm with the spyglass right their?!
Me as well as all the other console players: Ah yes, average graphics
Thats true, i wanted to comment it
Console existence is pain
No, just the graphics
As far as I’m concerned when it comes to the net gun…
I had no problem taming anything before with or without a trap so it just saves time and resources at this point
Bola>PT>wyvern
Then everything becomes tame able lol
I can usually skip two of those steps since I’m surprisingly lucky most of the time
I have 1 number 2 awesome fish, I can only play on the weekend so I'm lagging a bit, and I'm always stopping by his pond to give him a snack as I go about my Ark life
As far as I have been told, you can use fire, i.e. a flamethrower, to take out the carnivore plants
by the way syntac the net gun works on the managarmr so its easy to tame and you find them near to the edge of rockwells garden near the bloodstalkers
There’s a tunnel that you can go into that your base is on. That’s my base location.
Beginning of syntacs video, "Hey guys we are going to be doing anything possible to avoid building a proper base, anything at all will do"
Syntac if you hold space while doing the map trick you keep your momentum
I know a nice name for the R-velonasaur: clownasaur case its red, yellow and green
Rastasaur? Same colors.
A wyvern without a useful breath attack is worse than an Argie. At leas the Argie comes with weight reduction for metal and can heal itself on kill.
To quote Tucco: "Now you waste my time with these Chiclets?"
Just grind the nets, then start one of the missions where it just gives you a net. Free infinite nets.
I think that its fine to have both variants, considering this isn't a simulation. It's the actually the real world, and not everything is a R = (rockwell) mutated variant. You worry about the wrong stuff sometimes Syntac -.-
It doesn't make much sense to have two variants of the Velonasaurs in the same biome, if there was only the r-variant in the Rockwell biome and the normal one in the Eden biome it would make sense. Same with the Parasaur.
haha syn i got lured in the same velonasaur trap xD tamed a normal one too instead of an R, only noticed after the fact
If you sacrifice a galli to a carniflora, it creates a new omnipotent dinosaur capable of soloing bosses
This map have the R version and the normal version, normal giga too
i think the voidwyrm breath attack is supposed to do more damage to tek creatures/robots in general cuz the other vid he pretty much incapacitated the defense units, idk if it did more dmg to them exactly but it definately affected them alot more at least it seemed like it i could be wrong
I really liked the dark green and copper color on the normal velonasaur
Your Videos are super cool dude keep it up and keep giving us great content👍
I didn’t notice the velonasaur was a normal one either until you put them next to each other
Maps to big awesome teleporters is a must imo
Net Gun: 🥴
Bola++: 🧐
The only reason regular Velo's are on the map is that they were there FIRST, before Rockwell took over the ship.
After rockwell took over he corrupted different species.
The last time I was this early, I had never been this early. Redundant statement of redundancy, right?
What
*Syntac Tames Allo*
Meanwhile Mrmeola:Its Time to Tame the Apex predator the Giga!
Ah yes. The Cult of Carniflora. All hail our carnivorous plant overlords.
The carniflora pack you ran through was dead, you can harvest them for meat, spoilt meat, black pearls and element shards.
If you hold s on the maywing well you jump it will keep you in the air longer than the parachute mode
The Normal Allos Spawn in the Eden Zone While the R-Allo Spawns in Rockwell's Garden.
Syntac is still trying to use the voidwyrm breath but he can hold himself lol
LOOLLLLLLLLLLLLL I was waiting for Syn to notice the normal Velo
Incase you didnt know syntac there are karkinos and lots of megaladons in the eden zone tek city! I also saw a few alpha megaladons as well
As a console player id just like to say the punch map combo just makes us move infinitely in that direction until we stop ourselves
Another tek suit Jack for consoles is if u pull out a weapon and immediately start tek running then it will automatically run for you until you hit an object. You can go ark while making long journ3ys
Not all Carniflora attack you. Only the ones moving. The huge clusters which are not moving can be harvested for meat and black pearls with a chain saw
3:29
We've been trying to reach you about your cars extended warranty
I did rockwell with 3 reapers and it went swimmingly, but shadowmanes probably can do it faster
I was expecting a thyla to be the first tame lol
Well u got Eden biome and Rockwell biome areas. So Eden is gonna have items creatures that were brought into, and Rockwell is gonna have his own modified creatures.
You can use a axe or pickaxe on them and get good resources from them such as black pearls
I think scissors are for breaking nets
no, sword or hatchet
@@bez802 Tek sword and pike work too
I once heard that my friend got shocked by the lighting… apparently, him and his Mana got stunned for like, 30 seconds
21:21 Craptor is inevitable
Taming an astrodelphis is pretty easy, but their hunger goes down incredibly fast and if you ride them it goes down even faster, you’ll gonna want to tame a high level male and female and breed them right away
I remember early extinction, you could easily infinite orbital drops with one velo
You can stand on the tentacles that have the lightning and nothing happens. Also the allo was running to find another pack
you should start putting spiked walls around creatures when you knock them out
I feel like their should be more R variants. Which would include but is not limited to: a R Anglerfish, a R Electrophorus, a R Manta, a R Plesiosaur, a R Tusoteuthis, a R Seeker, a R Mantis, a R Basilisk, a R Araneo, a R Titanoboa, a R Pteranodon, and a R Managarmr.
I did the same thing! Tamed a standard Velo when I was collecting R Velos...
Syntac you are not killing the Carniflora, you are just knock the dead one down that can be harvested for element shards and other resources
You probably already know this by now but the Astrodelphis are breedable. In fact I just got my first 2 tames, a male and female. Both level 145. My first time breeding them and I got TRIPLETS!!!!!
u can use the flamethrower and flame arrows on the carniflora to kill them as well. they are week to fire. tested and confirmed on my server
Speaking of R-variant weirdness: In Rockwell's Garden, the R-Carnos that spawn in with Yutys are hostile to the yuti. :P
I guess r creatures are just more aggressive
I think cause they're technically different creatures, WC forgot to make the yuty recognize them as carnos lol
Your "Velonosaurusus" sounded so much like the gollum lol
Me: The lower level Velonasaur looks boring and looks like a normal Velonasaur!
Me *looks a little closer and realizes that the boring one is a normal variant*
Syntac *Notices the crap one is a normal variant*
Me: Wtf!?
Syntac: What!? That's so dumb!!
Name the red velonasaur Candy Cane, my little brother is a huge fan and wanted you to name it this :)
21:10 those floras are dead and u can harvest them. The living one stay alone
Thats not true I saw living one with dead one a couple of time
@@IkiRarenai Wrong my friend. The living one 100% lives near the river and what a coincidence the second one spawn in. So u r beatiful my friend
@@ngocanhnguyen8518 well I believe what I see not people I don't even know
Honestly since the shadow mane I don’t think there’s a real need for any other “smaller” land mount. Or sea mount. Nothing beats it’s mobility on land… trust me nothing gets close. Just got my 3rd yesterday and 2 are females. Wow I must say….. I thought one was good… but 3? Literally unstoppable. I truly have yet to run into anything that can stop this pack…. Especially with the roar active.
I think it could be a bit more balanced if the netgun would net for shorter amount of time and comes in smaller numbers from quest so that this really good tool its actually expensive like shocking darts or some of thia kind/tier
Rockwell really messed up by not creating the most deadly variant of all.... the R Gali. In all serious though has the Gali got any other variant one of few creatures that seems to have never got any love
