It's the same as jurassic Park in the lore they're not actually 100% dinosaurs they were made because most of the animals on earth went extinct and why would you want a cow and a house cat when you could have a bronto and a saber tooth
shadowmanes are great for the overseer and tek cave, you can use a few females that are pumped into nothing but stam to hide your entire army and sneak them through the tek cave, then you can use their high speed and teleport ability to keep up with the overseer as it moves around. i recomend you do something like on your abberation dlc gameplay and hop over to the island to fight the beta overseer with your shadowmanes.

Absolutely beautiful Shadowmanes Syn! The only thing you might want to do is find a darker blue for one of the main body regions so there's more contrast, but it is definitely not necessary.
I imagine that someday, we'll get to see Shadowmanes against the dragon, and I look forward to seeing how that goes. But even just taking down a Giga is a teensy bit insane. I just don't see these things not getting nerfed, unless WC meant for them to be the final word in Ark. Also, your colors are the weirdest coincidence, at least before you started combining. I had some wild Shadowmanes that I bred together to get a color combo very close to that blue-with-white-underside before I started breeding for stats. As for that hydration+courage roar speed combo, the game almost acts like your movement speed is capped out. The Shadowmane is going faster than that, but the game seems to be adjusting your position based on what your speed is "supposed" to be.
Fun fact: the Giga is huge in this game, but IRL was only around the same size, slightly smaller, than the Rex, had a weaker bite, etc. Basically it was the mid-30’s Rex’s teenage cousin.
You should play Malcolm on Jurassic Park saying the lines "and if we're not careful, they'll be here after", then show the Synsaur holding a shotgun with the messed up Jurasstic park song.
Syntac! I used like 18 nonmutated Shadowmanes in the island bosses with regular stat rates and everything, and they demolished all of them. All around level 244-290. Used a daeodon in the dragon boss to help though. Also got lucky by getting the dragon stuck so it couldn't breath fire on my guys during the alpha boss, but these things are definitely boss killers
Hey Syntac, so yes the Shadowmanes have 6 regions color, 0=Body 1=Not used 2=Glowing Spots 3=Stripes on the tail and some areas on the side, 4 is the Belly and 5 the Back
Shadowmanes are definitely the new boss killers. I killed all of The Island bosses with the following; Gamma bosses: 6 shadowmanes. Beta Bosses: 8 shadowmanes, and Alpha bosses were a bit different. I did Alpha brood with 12 shadowmanes, Alpha Monkey with 8, and I barely beat Alpha Dragon with 14 shadowmanes and a yuty. Still, they were all unmutated, and relatively unharmed after. XD
Heads up, in order to get all of the explorer notes you need to craft all the new items from this map, which you can’t do if you aren’t already level 120
im rocking thylas and shadows as my boss fight stuff. that way i can fight bosses different ways and actually enjoy the gamma beta alpha by not fighting it the same way each time. that thyla bleed is OP
There are actually four mission bosses on the colony ship. They are the Corrupted Master Controller, the Macro Summoner, the Experimental Giganotosaurus, and the Malfunctioning Rider.
I don’t know if it was intentional or not, but I love the fact they are called the league of shadows. Cause that’s what Ra’s al Ghouls army of assassins is called in Batman.
Ark is a game that makes perfect sense because there’s totally not a load of glitches and dinosaur accuracy having the giga being 3 times bigger than a spin yeah flawless game
I just done the Dragon on Beta in my single player world and the shadowmanes done well as long as the dragon didn’t get away from the pack. As long as I kept the pack in front of the dragon, it went down easy
One thing I've seen happen lately is that it is possible to mutate a colour region to "null" which can be passed on by breeding but also "restored" by breeding.
Its actually a lot harder to grow an English speaking channel tbh, spanish/german/etc creators have a great advantage because people who speak those languages will want to watch videos in that language and YT will only really promote those channels to those people. Thats why you might see a spanish channel with like 15M subs or something that you have never heard of, its because YT doesnt think you will watch their stuff
21:10 I agree. Shadowmanes are too OP to have slipped the developers who balance creatures. I think they are OP on purpose. This is last story map in ark 1, right? So they may have thought that players can have fun 😆

Top right square of the map is where all the big boys spawn. Lots of alphas, allos, rexes, thylas, direwolves. Super nice for leveling.
The shinehorn is tamed with aggeravic mushrooms the featherlights are tamed with auric mushrooms and the glowtails are tamed with ascerbic mushrooms
the green flare things on its head make it look like a poison wyvern
Shadowmanes may be not only good agains bosses but also good for alpha hunting missions in gen 1 considering that they’re so hard to complete

The Stryder have color region that you can paint like cosmetics. No need to worry about what color it is when you tame it.
