Good video and interesting use of the dimorphs.
If you want to deal with the Wyverns on a ground mount, bring Velos to shoot them and force them to land.
A mutated Giga still rocks the purple drops just because of the enraged corrupted Rex. Nothing besides 'moar dakka' can really help Reapers burying under shields or Rock Drakes 'leaking' inside the S+ Shield.

In case anyone is confused, tamed creatures can only damage the shield on PVE, but can damage both the shield and the drop itself with PVP settings like Syntac is using.
Ohh that explains it bc i play on pve so i was confused

This was crazy! The shots with the dimorphs having a sky war with the wyverns while the shadowmanes battle on the ground are so awesome!
For anyone interested, it appears that the loot growth is capped to around wave 18, so doing more than that is pointless (unless for the challenge).
Hubby and I made it to wave 17 with a total of 10 enforcers, the 2 we were riding and the rest on aggressive. There's no way I would ever attempt one without his help, you are an Ark God!

They changed the range of the shadowmanes shock teleport as a nerf that's why it wasn't letting you reach that high.
This is gonna be good. Orbital Supply drops are surprisingly fun. Extinction in general is just really fun. Though I wish the city was actually a city. ( extra note syn ark additions is getting 2 new creatures soon)[buzz saw feeesh and a tall micro trunk elephant witn an underbite] don't know when they finish for sure but it's soon.

I dont know exactly how much time you have to eject items, but I take the time to clear mobs before ejecting. Hasn't gone sideways "YET". I think nerves panic got the best of you there. Great video!
Yo Syntac, love your stuff man. I just started Ark less than a year ago and your content has helped tremendously!
I do purple OSD’s almost daily, and the strat I use on Xbox official (pve) is super simple. If you want the min 7 rounds, a Dino leash and 8-12 Giga’s on aggressive should be easy mode.
The next stage I go to is 14 rounds, and that is the same strat but I throw out a snow owl between rounds as needed.
I have used a tek shield before, but that was to see how deep we could go with 3 Daedon’s within the shield on the lowest setting. We got bored after 26-27 rounds and 2 hours later lol.
The key to all of these strategies is to put metal spike walls at the spawn points. I can solo a 7 round purp OSD super easily with well placed metal spike walls. It doesn’t take a lot, 12-36 total depending on the OSD location.
Those level 520+ enraged Rex’s are fun lol
Shadowmanes are soo good for this! Did Red drop with a singe one lvl 350 and it's so smooth. No Problem. If you get health problems just run away put to sleep, wake up, and boom half health bac
Breed giga man. One under shield, other one you ride around it. Mate boosted and have snow owl in cryo for heals if you need it. It takes forever untill you get giga to that level but once there, you can use that breed for anything. Orbitals or King titan.
Mines bite for 7k .
For boss, tame only Ice titan. Have 3 groups of bred gigas. One group consists of 10 giga as grp 1, second far away to follow when grp 1 is dead and randomly placed gigas set to agressive to clean up the mobs boss spawns. You in a mek. Piss easy.
If you playing with friends its even easier. You dont need 200 gigas as seen in videos - or one from syntac :D He overdone it :D
Maybe next time, on top of placing a tek shield, make a small stone/metal box around the drop so that at least your tames don't hit it by accident.

Syntac if u use the right mouse button on the shadowmane it sends a shocking ball if you release it then it teleports to everything in range. The wyverns were not in the ball its range bc you hold it to long. You can see it if u watch carefully 3:20

If anyone is wondering when the drakes hit the shield they try to climb it...but since the shield isnt coded as regular terrain the game gets "confused" and resolves it by detaching the drake and moving it often clipping them inside.
There’s a really handy mod that actually auto deletes any stuck dinos after a set period for raids, it’s not op just fixes a gameplay issue wildcard never will

When doing the drops solo. Ive always liked placing a buried basilisk with small groups following them to keep the dinos in sections, that way the 3 angles the corrupted come from are covered
Sounds like a lot to try to set up in a short amount of time
@@Syntac assigned group whistles beforehand and then bury snake. Usually ill pull everything out before I approach the drop

Really small map but the drops are fun
Do not...repeat do not use a mana on Extinction if your one to lag often. Lost tons of loot and a couple mana from the lag. On this map there are boundaries, go outside and you're dead.
So ure telling me u nvr tried taming MANAs bfore gen 2?
@@zzzaaa8728 when I was a beach bob some one tried to do rmt and gave me a mana was gunna charge me for a saddle I never contacted him and we got a top stat mana for free :) so I never tamed a mana

rock drakes have a wierd hitbox and in general melee attacks don't go through shields
fun fact: the basilisk spit can hit the creatures from the gen1 gauntlets as long as they are close to the shield

1,5 mil special you take all your strong mutated Dino’s and try getting a really high wave on the legendary drops

Could you do super stat mutations on Velonsaurs for the orbital drops next video?
Maybe the Velonasaurs could do more with the Shadowmanes with the roar but I don’t think it will work.
Velonosaurs are not good for orbital drops because they get steam rolled when stuff gets too close because they switch to melee attacks and have a hard time targeting that many enemy dinos at one time
Maybe next time you can use some of your mutated argies in replacement of the dimorphs, maybe even pteras, and increase the size of the tek shield so if your shadowmanes target a creature trying to attack the tek shield, they don’t all get wedged near the drop and bite since the shield is so small.
That also increases the surface area of the shield, which makes it much easier to hit by more creatures. It's a tradeoff for sure.

Far as I'm aware, tames can't hurt the osd, they can break the shield but not the osd, also for sone reason, the forcefield break the corrupted, they'll attack walk an be super slow to reach it
He plays on pvp settings so he can pick up wild dinos. On pvp your tames can damage the OSD. You're playing pve, where your tames can not damage the drop.

personally, I always like to use gigas for the drops cause of the large AOE, a giga or 2 of opposite gender in the shield and 1 opposite gender on follow to make sure i get mate boost usually works amazing for me but now I may look to try shadowmanes after seeing this. love the videos as always!
As for "looting and stuff, it's a little basic, but throwing weight and health onto a trike can be a good luggage, right? that whole damage reduction, they make such good face tanks, I like to keep a couple trikes to haul gear on, or just hold onto it to prevent despawn, I guess.

I'm not sure if you knew this or not but the best Dino for drops is the enforcer they get a buff against corrupted enemies that out dps's almost anything else as well as using the tech rifle does more damage as well.
You ever used an enforcer on a lv 500? xD That would never go well

they don't have that much health and you can't equip saddle. so unless you have a TON of it then don't use it for purple. unless you can throw like 12 enforcers each rounds. because they will not survive waves in the legendary drops so you will need to change them every round on that diff

It would be cool if you could take the corrupted dinos, but you have to do a an orbital drop, knock one out, protect it then take it before it wakes up, and it does a lot of damage
Edit: but you need to have a corrupted tranq gun and tranq darts

You should use a Dodo Rex on a legendary orbital drop and see how far you can go
If you build a 3x3 platform and place 9 fireplaces next to each other you can hach a vywern egg without having to use air conditioning

You need like 15 ridden gigas and one or more of the titans and basically a fob built around the drop to make it to round 100 on purple drops

@@noahandellagaming2323 it was boosted server and also getting the stuffnto do gen is hard
trust me .the alpha controller is extremly extremly hard .the first 3 stages are easy but the last one I mostly die by reapers or the time runs out because I can't deal enough damage so I will need to collect all the keys another time to do the last 10k damage or something like that but the time finishes and all my creatures die.
I tried so many times and finally won. luckily I transfered the save file before the boss fight to a single player world so that I can fight another time without loosing progress I mean without having to rebuild my army. each time I fight him I do a different strategie. only with 2 ascendant tek rifle with about 220 percent I was able to kill it in time.I failed at it like between 9 and eleven time but I finally did it (I had to turn on SP Settings) but with imprint buff at 1x and everything is normal I used theris and tek rexes with about 35 mutations and around 200 armor saddle crafted with crafting skill.Its strange but therizinos survived more for some reason. its definitely the hardest boss.alpha rockwell on abb and alpha controller are the only bosses I had to try them many them after transfering to a single player world until I find a good strategie because I fought them blindly without even knowing anything about them.
also unless he cheat complete missions like the second dodo basket team mission (missions that requires 2 teams) and the alpha gauntlet he will not be able to even fight it. if he doesn't fight him in Single player first he will 100 percent lose against him the first (few or maybe many) timesw but its definitely doable solo. and when I will get my army to much more mutation than 35 using the s+ mutator wich can give double mutations then I will fight him again in the server that I'm playing on and not in SP
