Could someone please help me! Im trying to update this same lens 10-24mm. Everytime I attempt to update, I keep getting the error message of Firmware not found in card slot 1. Turn off the camera. Ive tried so many different ways and it keep giving me the same error. Any suggestions ? Thank you in advance.
Getting the same on the 10-24mm, you ever find out what the trick was?
Just noticed the 18-55 has a newer firmware update. I think it's from 2023. I lens I don't have, but am looking at. So, question. Can I have pics on the SD card that I use to upgrade the firmware?
No one shows how to format the sd card first, which is very important
Thank for the Video mate, was surprised to see my lenses where due an upgrade!
Superb! Link to the red strap?
Thank you, I make those myself woodgatecamerastraps.com
Thanks mate
Firmware update should be per lens? And I have to attach the lens that I want to update?
Raymond Albaladejo yes that’s correct 😁
This is so super helpful! Thx for taking time to show us. Could you tell me which lens are you using on this video please?
I think it was the 23mm F2
Thanks!! Had no idea I could do this, but saw the jello wobble in my 18-55mm lens. Looks like this update fixed it!!
Thanks for the informative video. I still do have a question though. Is the lens firmware stored in the camera body or in the lens?
Good question, I think it’s the lens but I will have a check and get back to you
In the lens, as You can not update the lens firmware, if it is not attached to the body. Every Fuji lens has a computer inside :)
Thanks for answering that question for me, cheers, Nathan
Thanks for the info :)
I do so appreciate your videos Nathan, I'm curious to know if the new firmware for the GFX is any good as I heard that certain function such as pinch and zoom have been disabled
Dhiraj Shetty Thank you. Unfortunately we don’t have a GFX to test the new firmware. I’d be surprised if they disabled that feature? That’s the whole point of having a touch screen?
The Photography Team I completely agree with hence I was curious when I read about it in the forum, this is why I turned to practical experts such as yourself for a quick fact check, thank you for the prompt reply though, very helpful
