      @methyl jepeny A brilliant example of a hypotheses spun up by assertion and insinuation with the expedient of denying and explaining away information that contradicts it. A tried and true method of creating any story one wishes that's impervious to any criticism and needn't concern itself with falsification.

      I’ve thought two that for years, but from her reaction to the bus driver she clearly didn’t want it- which is why I tend to think she was following someone who came back for her. I think she’s alive somewhere .

    Maura is speaking to us through her actions but we're too busy
    projecting our own theories to listen. She has an emotional breakdown at
    work on February 5th. She packs up her belongings in boxes and leaves
    them stacked on her dorm bed. Her boyfriend has recently admitted he's
    cheated on her, and she leaves a printout of his emailed confession on
    top of the boxes. On the night she disappears Maura is drinking and
    driving, repeating the same behavior that caused her to crash her
    father's new car just a day before. She has already been told by a judge
    to stay out of trouble for six months or face prosecution for credit
    card theft. Therefore Maura's drinking and driving on the night of
    February 9, 2004 tells us:
    A) She's just trying to clear her head.
    B) She's obviously making a fresh start.
    C) She's in a self-destructive frame of mind.

    I think Maura Murray was a victim of opportunity. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She wanted to get away for a week for whatever reason. Some say she may have been meeting up with someone because of the amount of alcohol she bought but it could also mean she knew she'd be gone for a week. What she did not expect that night was to have another car accident. She declined help from a bus driver that was coming home and lived across the street from accident. She told him she called AAA but was unlikely for there was no cell phone coverage. She figured the bus driver went to house house to call police. She panicked and fled because she had been drinking wine from a coke can that was later found by police. She knew she'd be in trouble with the police. So, she locked her car, which could mean she planned on coming back to it? Then fled before police could get there. A witness saw what looked like Maura running along the road. It was dark, she was freezing possibly. I think someone offered her a ride and with the weather conditions she agreed, or someone forcibly got her into a car.

    I been following this case (and many others) for YEARS now. After tons of my own research (practically everything available) and reading and discussing theories, I think Maura was very upset about crashing her dad's vehicle. I also think Fred said some mean things to her in haste that probably haunt him and will continue to haunt him for the rest of his life. I do NOT believe for one second that Fred had any part in her disappearance and the only reason he wasn't more "cooperative" with LE was because they fucked the dog on this case since the beginning. Fred feels overwhelming guilt and remorse that Maura was in this volatile mental state. The BIG clue for me is the witness who came forward a short time after her disappearance and claimed to see a female matching her exact description jogging along the road (cold snowy weather, same night of her accident, less than 5 miles from it). The same witness also claims that upon spotting her with his headlights, she became evasive and turned down some side dirt road and ran. In the end, I personally believe she succumbed to the elements and her body is most likely still there somewhere among the DENSE forests nearby. I think if she DID kill herself, it was probably not planned or intentional. Her case has always bothered me due to the fact that we have no way of knowing if foul play was involved or if this was just a poor girl who felt she had no options left. Regardless, I keep her and her family in my prayers and I hope one day Fred Murray can finally feel some sort of peace regarding whatever fate befell his little girl. It's very clear how much he loved her and cared about her, and when parents and kids fight they often say things they regret. This would easily explain Fred's pain and remorse and never ending quest to find out what happened to her. Is it POSSIBLE she was grabbed or hurt by some local dirt bag as Fred thinks? Yes, of course, but it's less likely.

      It is interesting to me that she could be jogging along after cracking the windshield with her head. And, carrying a backpack. Another bottle of liquor missing from car. What was her short-term destination at night after an auto accident in a zero cellphone coverage area. It was cold, dark, rural. As a female, I would never strike out from my car under those circumstances.

    hmm so she was a straight A student and was a good girl. then suddenly after being at West point for a while she suddenly starts to steal? that sounds a little off. has anyone thought that maybe something bad happened to her while at West point it seems there was a change in her at that point of she was always like that and was only just caught at West point.... usually there is a reason that a good person starts to act out in these types of ways.. seems to me if she was bulimic the. maybe she had a self image problem and usually women who have been objectified has similar problems.. I don't want to just spit out what I try not could have happened to her at West point because there is too little info. it would just be complete speculation.,...

    I may have asked you this before but are you aware of David Paulides' "Missing 411" series? It's the most fascinating study on anomalous missing persons cases that I've ever delved into. Btw, since you released this video, I've listened to every single one of the Missing Maura Murray podcasts and watched the Discovery episode on her and started reading James Renner's blog. This is a fascinating and haunting mystery. It's really had my mind occupied for a few days now. And what's so maddening is how much information there is but it's still mysterious to the point where you can't really narrow down the possibilities. I REALLY want to know what happened to this girl :( Thanks for the episode mi amigo!

      I have listened to plenty of David Paulides interviews, podcasts etc. They are interesting. My gripe with him is that he refuses to speculate on what transpired on any given case. He presents, does not sum up with possible explanations. There is something exploitative about that. Why should we, outside the loop, come up with the answers??? Also, his books are outrageously expensive. Why? Lastly, he has jumped around from Bigfoot to disappearances, non-Bigfoot and UFOs and etc etc. Little bit Barnum for me.

    I think she suffered from an undiagnosed bipolar disorder or something similar. Stolen credit card, lots of alcohol, breaking down into tears, taking off for a week vacation on a whim, not feeling like talking to anyone, making up a family emergency, etc etc sounds like she was having a manic episode...she crashed and was freaked out about getting in more trouble due to earlier charges and now a possible dui. She then wandered off into the woods and became lost and succumbed to the elements or she accepted a ride from the wrong stranger and was raped and killed.

      @Kelli In Texas
      Not necessarily.
      Victims of hypothermia are frequently found (or, rather, not found at all) in seemingly hidden places, as they tried to find an enclosed space to conserve body heat before they succumbed to the cold.
      Also, multiple bodies have been initially overlooked and later found in areas that had previously been searched.
      Especially in heavily wooded areas, finding a body is not as "easy" as one might assume

      Stephii Loveless I read or heard on a video or something, that yes that crazy fuck was spoken to by police. I am of the mind that they did not do anything with him BC technically there was no tangible evidence (or circumstantial) that he had anything to do with the disappearance.
      But I just feel probably like a lot of people feel like I do that that man is injecting himself into this shit and that is very questionable. There has got to be some reason he did that shit; whether he just is batshit crazy & likes attention, or he truly does know something or even did something. If I was her family I'd be ready to put my foot up his ass.
      Those videos and that voice, ugh. It just strikes me as he is TRYING TO GET into the investigation.

    Maura Murray was 'asked to leave' West Point the previous year.
    I dont think she ever recovered from that.
    I believe she was suicidal, that cold February. All of her choices and behavior at UMass in the 24 hours prior, point to this.
    ( Packing all her belongings. Returning a lab coat. Drastic mood swings at her job.)
    I believe the car crash was deliberate, meant to be deadly.
    When it wasn't deadly, I feel that she took a walk out into the woods, death by passing out in the cold/intoxication/hypothermia.
    Note that she drove a hundred miles, to an area where she had gone hiking many times. it had special meaning for her.
    Rest well, Maura +++

    • @Cat_herders
      @Cat_herders 7 лет назад +2

      cojatap the crash resulted in minimal damage. One would think that if it was deliberate it would have been much different than this.

    • @aerialkate
      @aerialkate 7 лет назад +3

      Dan Da I agree with the OP that she was intoxicated and suicidal. I think the crash may have been deliberate. But that wouldn't stop a sexual predator from targeting her. It's no comfort to me that she possibly wanted to die anyway, because nobody wants to go out having first been tortured in someone's basement. There was a case recently in London where an intoxicated young woman was sexually assaulted by 3 different men (not part of a gang) at different locations in the course of one night while walking home. These types of predators exploit distressed and distracted young women all the time.

      @@aerialkate Butch Atwood knows more than he has told any authorities or investigators. He has lied about that evening. His behaviour regarding where he parked the school bus was so out of character that it raises a lot of questions. If he had parked the bus in its 'usual' spot in front of his house - which is also where his live-in girlfriend parked her school bus: both drove school buses, in case you were unaware of this important fact - then he would have parked the bus, as usual, where the State had installed a large floodlight which is just like a street light on any public street, right on his property at the intersection with Bradley Hill Road. Now, had Atwood actually parked there, where he had always parked the school bus until that evening, there would have been a clear and unobstructed view all 560 feet up to the stranded Saturn. However, Atwood chose not to park in this usual spot that evening. Instead, he backed the bus all the way up to the house to an outbuilding and, after a brief moment when he went into the house and told his girlfriend what happened - she was so concerned she phoned the Sheriff's Department at Grafton County - he went back outside and sat inside the bus. The officer, Sergeant Smith walked up to him and had to talk to Atwood through the open door of the bus whilst Atwood remained in the bus seat. Also, Atwood claimed he saw several vehicles passing the intersection but was unable to identify any of them or any details about these alleged vehicles. Add this to the fact he never again parked the school bus in that spot after that evening, and we have a man who definitely knows more than he has ever told anyone, least of all any investigators and who has failed at least one polygraph test indicating he was being deceptive. He needs to be looked at regarding Maura's disappearance. THIS is what needs to be examined.

      @kingayy9267 4 года назад

      @Kybele Kordax INTJ
      If true, Atwood parking the bus differently for seemingly no reason does seem slightly odd, but not remembering the makes/models of inconsequential cars driving through the intersection isn't strange at all (IMO)
      Honestly, would *you* be able to recall much, other than maybe colors or general vehicle types?
      Because I know I probably wouldn't unless I knew there were reason to retain that information at the time.
      A stranger's car crash likely wouldn't cause most people to intuitively remember those kinds of details

Bobbi maples from Michigan....they figured she just ran off and nobody took it serious. also Connie Snyder from kalkaska Michigan, I saw first hand how much they disregarded her bc she was a known alcoholic. Hey. I really like your videos, but I have a few things to say.
    James Renner is not a good guy. He has harassed the family, he has 'found' photos of random women on Facebook who apparently look like Maura, then he harasses them. Then when they block him for being a creep, he assumes they have something to hide. And actually going to Canada to track down a woman who 'looks like' (not even close) Maura? Ugh.
    He's arrogant, antagonistic and he's full of shit. He's listed personal details about people on his blog. He has no respect for her, her family or anyone involved.
    He's really only interested in promoting his book.
    There's plenty of information out there about how and why you shouldn't listen to a word that guy says. He's pretty much blacklisted everywhere.
    Also, this podcast? It's full of inaccuracies and doesn't deliver facts. Plus, they're not very intelligent. "She could have gotten a job in Canada and no one asked for her ID cause she's attractive".
    Um, no. World doesn't quite work like that.

    I'm from the area, My sister graduated from Umass Amherst that year. I can assure you that the area they are talking about is indeed a dead zone of which there are many. Anyone who has been in the area for any length of time knows this. Also in 2004, I think that was around the time they did away with the escort service they had that would give students rides back to their dorms because this is "Zoo-Mass" and there are a lot of assaults. So many that the trail by my sister's dorm in Orchard hill was called the 'Rape Trail' and everyone knew you didn't walk on it alone or ever at night. I'm wondering, if she was attending parties if something could have happened to cause her some trauma. I know that's nothing I'd want to talk about and might consider getting away for a while. I don't know, but if there are any questions I can help with about the area or the school around that time I'd like to help. I know my sister didn't know her personally but who knows. (also the way you out of town people pronounce the names around here LOL. Hay-Vrill , no it makes no sense but that's how you say it.)

    This has got to be one of the most complicated and confusing cases you've done. Even after two installments on this I feel like you've barely scratched the surface. With some cases I can pretty easily guess or theorize as to what happened - here, it just seems as if new information or a different aspect of Maura bubbles up, effectively obliterating my theory.
    There's a good chance it seems that she disappeared of her own accord - running away from as yet unknown circumstances or perhaps her own perceived mistakes. She certainly appears to have had a darker side - it's not as if she is one of those people who would "never think of" leaving people in her life. That being said, there's no guarantee that someone didn't just walk up and abduct her either.

    It's disappointing that you didn't make a comment on James Renner's rotten "introduction" of Fred Murray - "(he) lives in a dump". How demeaning, emasculating and unnecessary that business was. Murray wouldn't speak to Renner because he saw the angle Renner was going for a mile away. I wouldn't have talked to him either. Renner's preposterous revenge was to demean a man who is clearly suffering unimaginable torment wondering if his daughter is being tortured in someone's basement. When Renner justified his book's tone by stating that he couldn't understand why Mr Murray wouldn't want to keep his daughter in the media, he reminded me of the blackmailing bullies who call themselves journalists in our British tabloids. I know that you were just giving an overview of Renner's website, but you generally show more sensitivity to victims and their families. I was a bit disappointed you didn't call Renner on his petty cruelty here. He's done some good research, no argument, but I can't forgive his callousness to Maura's family. He's now had to disable (or heavily mod) comments from his blog. That is largely due to the bitchy tone he set.

    Relationship problems? You mean the problem she had that caused her to have sex with at least one teacher and various male students whilst saving her fiance for marriage? LOL
    Maura had many of the same problems that most of us have. She was human. Unfortunately for her, she couldn't handle life's numerous setbacks like most of us, causing her to end her life much too early by her own hands. Depression is a bitch to live with and suicide was her solution. Just my opinion of course but sex, pizza, and wine by the box can only numb so much.
    Those mountains she chose to disappear in are vast, to say the least. If they haven't found her remains by now I'm afraid they never will. Again, just my humble opinion. RIP young lady. :(

    • @aerialkate
      @aerialkate 7 лет назад +6

      michael ianni What on earth made you assume she'd been "saving herself for marriage"? I'd argue that this is something Michael Ianni cooked up in his seedy, resentful little brain. I've studied this case for years and haven't read that anywhere. It would be highly unusual these days. Where are you from? The past? Her sister tells a different tale and from what I hear of Maura's boyfriend's subsequent behaviour with women, I tend to believe her.
      Maura was angry by her boyfriend's cheating and habitual, manipulative flirting with other women when he was out with Maura. She had an affair with her track coach and it's not beyond the realms of possibility that it was done in a pitiful attempt to make Billy jealous. She then dumped Coach for her ex and the rejected lover later alleges he had heard gossip that the woman who rejected him was promiscuous. The operative word here being "rejected". We know Maura stole. It's not unreasonable to presume she had a problem with alcohol. Anything else is gossip.
      It's refreshing to see two male posters called you on your prurient tripe. I'm sorry you're feeling raw at women for whatever reason, but highlighting what you've been told (via internet gossip and a man who had reason to be bitter) is the POSSIBLE sexual history of a probable murder victim makes you sound like a creepo of the first order. Your entirely disingenuous "RIP Young Lady" at the end was a cowardly disclaimer. Desperate stuff. Cobblers to you and your fucked up upvoters.

    20/20, Dateline, 48Hrs, all of those major network true crime shows are, for lack of a better term, full of shit.
    They *_always_* praise and speak so highly of the victims. And while I don't mind families speaking of their relatives who were murdered or gone missing in a good way, or just trying to remember the good side of them, etc. However, in cases such as this one, or any missing persons case, I think _everything_ should be discussed.
    Maura was definitely a troubled girl. Not a bad person. Not at all, however, she had some issues that needed to be resolved. Her DUI's and her serious drinking issues, her schooling, boyfriend, etc. Obviously she was *_extremely_* overwhelmed with life (as many of us are at that age) and wanted to take a break.

    Hi John. This is my first actual opinion on one of yr Brainscratch episodes. I watched a few of the links you suggested. All I can say is, there's far too many people reading far too much into anything that happened in the days before she went missing. There is no mystery or conspiracy here. It's a troubled girl who wanted to get away from her recent shit, bought some booze and was drinking it when she crashed, freaked out and fled into the bush, died of exposure and body scoffed by animals. That's it isn't it?

    the only explanation is that A. someone in that neighborhood where she crashed had something to do with it. Maybe they came out acting like they wanted to help and then grabbed her, hid her somewhere, killed her then buried the body on their property.or B. The first responding officer had something to do with her disappearance.

    Butch Atwood knows more than he has told any authorities or investigators.

    The weird phone call her boyfriend received after her disappearance was the creepiest thing about this story. The dog followed her trail to the road where he lost her scent. She didn't go into the forest, she stayed on the road and left her car so that she wouldn't be questioned by police about drinking and driving (there was plenty of evidence for a DUI at the scene). She must have gotten into a vehicle with the wrong person and that was her fate. As for why she left school and lied about the reason for her absence.. I don't think she would be gone from school and work without a good reason. She was obviously upset about something (two car accidents and drinking involved). I don't think she was suicidal. She said she would be gone for a week. Maybe she was pregnant and was planning to get an abortion.

    This case disturbs me a lot and I’ve been following it for years . The PD recently did another search in the area where she disappeared, clearly the police has a lot of questions like us and they don’t have a clue of where Maura might be . I honestly think she is deceased (I hope not), for the reason that is unlikely that she hasn’t communicated with any of her relatives. It might be due to natural causes, I hardly believe she was murdered but it might be a possibility . Where did she go that night ? That’s the question , did she run into the woods , did she get a ride with a stranger? , if so, was she dropped off at her destination ? Possibly to start a new life ? Is more questions than answers , this case really bothers me . I hope one day her family and loved ones can find a resolution .

      I’ve been following Maura’s disappearance for years as well.
      I’ve been following Julie’s TikTok pretty closely.
      She mentioned the fact that Maura’s phone last pinged in the Haverhill area.
      Julie said “Maura’s phone was never used after the accident”.
      I’ve never thought too much about Maura’s phone bc supposedly LE FINALLY reviewed her phone records.
      Maura last used her cell phone to check her voicemail sometime around 4pm.
      According to Julie there was an incoming call to Maura’s phone number from someone in Massachusetts.
      IDK, the fact the Maura’s phone last pinged in NH makes me believe her “journey” ended with the wreck.
      I think it’s within the realm of possibility that Maura fled into the woods with the intention of “hiding from police”.
      Possible but not likely IMO due to the extensive searches of the area.
      I believe the most likely scenario is that Maura got into a car with a local or even knocked on someone’s door.
      So many people argue “what are the odds of a serial killer just happening to drive by the accident?”
      I think Maura got in the car with a dirtbag pervert, not necessarily a “serial killer”.
      Some nasty predator who expected “something” in return for his “help”.
      Perhaps someone who lived right there near Butch and the Westman’s?
      Not a “serial killer” but I do believe some kind of sexual deviant may have crossed paths with Maura and caused her harm.

    It’s an interesting case, but I think what happened to her can be hypothesized with the information at hand. I suffer from various mental health issues and am a recovering alcoholic, and think she had undiagnosed issues (probably bipolar) and was drinking heavily to self medicate. Her behavior before the disappearance wasn’t that odd if it can be explained as manic and depressed. She smashed up her dads car coming back from a party before she disappeared -I assume she was intoxicated. I think she was in a manic state when she left (going on a sudden road trip is rather impulsive) and she purchased a fair amount of alcohol. I think she was drinking on the road, had her accident, and was totally freaking out about getting a DUI (she plead with the neighbor to not call police). In a panic she ran-someone was spotted running on area roads after her accident (which is why they didn’t find foot prints going into the woods near her car). She was a runner so could cover distance pretty fast, especially in a panic. Eventually she did go into the woods, still covering a fair amount of distance, and eventually fell victim to the cold. She hasn’t been found because she got way farther away from the accident than they think. Her boyfriend received a voice mail in the middle of the night of her sobbing-she got lost and died of hypothermia.

      I have to respectfully disagree with most of what you said. There is a channel that has dove extremely deep into the investigation of her case ...they even made a documentary that was nationally televised and there is much, much more to this case. I also find it a bit off-putting that you think you have the ability to diagnose someone you have never even met or spoken to with a mental health disorder simply because you suffer psych issues!! Are you a doctor? Of course everyone has a right to express their opinions here so no worries...

    • @IamtheLunchlady
      @IamtheLunchlady 2 года назад +1

      I agree with this theory could be most plausible. Even if she wasnt bipolar, she obviously was struggling with several issues all at once. Using alcohol to self medicate. Its apparent she was trying to escape , prob temporarily. I really think she panicked when she thought police would be called and ran off. Prob not necessarily where her car was though. She prob succumbed to elements. Called her boyfriend just at the end of her rope. Panicked and freezing. So sad, I really hope they at least find her remains one day so her family can have closure.

    • @starmorgan9241
      @starmorgan9241 7 лет назад

      With saving, and planing, who knows how much money she had on her she was caught one time using someone else's credit card information, who's to say she wasn't stealing on a much larger scale. She wasn't happy with the direction her life was going but I don't think she was suicidal, and even if she was it's kind of hard to hide your own body especially if you were just in an accident and police on the way, searchers would be all over that place. Someone could have taken her but in that short amount of time, I doubt it because the person up the road was aware she was there and would have noticed another vehicle, people are noisy you are going to want to know who all is close to the house Someone would have been seen, unless it was the truck driver who stopped to help her but he was investigated there would be evidence in the vehicle he was driving if he picked her up or evidence of it being cleaned.

      Yes, yes and yes ! She got into trouble multiple times . She knew she was on thin ice . Prior to her car accident , a student at UMASS was hit by a car . It was said that Maura did it . She knew she was in deep shit because of the car accident , and the other petty crimes she committed. So she wanted to escape. She packed her room , decided to call out of work and withdrew money . Her scent could no longer be traced on the road that she disappeared on. Meaning , someone picked her up in the car , as planned . If she went into the woods , the dogs would have traced her smell into the woods .

    I live in East Boston, MA. My mother and 2 brothers live up in rural NH. And I can assure you that even today they get very little to zero cell phone service up there. Especially for the internet.
    Now, I am unsure of that area in particular where Maura was, where the accident occured, but I can assure everyone that everywhere in NH that's that rural is virtually the exact same when it comes to cell phone service. You really have to be close to a bigger town/city in order to get good service. Otherwise you are shit outta luck.
    And just knowing that service even today is null, I imagine that 2004 it was next to non-existent.
    That said, I really don't like the fact that the bus driver had phoned the police after MM had practically begged him not to. That always really frustrated me quite a bit. Almost as if he was looking for some drama, as most people in NH usually are.
    I also strongly believe that had he not called the police then MM wouldn't have taken off like that and who knows? Maybe she would be alive and well today.
    All I know is that she is most likely dead. I can't stand the fact that good people like her have to die, while worthless scumbags, child molesters, even killers get to live a decent life. It really angers me quite a bit. I believe Maura Murray had a lot to offer this world, but she can't do that anymore. It's so unfortunate and sad.
    Back in 2004,

    Most missing persons cases like this are usually the same thing - the person crashes, leaves the crash scene and then dies from the elements - I think that is what happened here....
    first off - this is in 2004 when there was really no sense of GPS- she even printed out a map for directions - then she was obviously drunk, drinking wine from a coke can that spilled all over her car - so what do you do? You get out of the car, take the other liquor with you, and then tell the bus driver you're waiting for AAA so that he'd leave you alone and then start walking away from the crash site either trying to get sober and away from the situation which would have been a bad decision anyway when drunk- then what do you do when you realize it's freezing out and you're drunk and your extra booze just made you drunker and not warmer? You either try to cover yourself somehow with the elements (snowpit?) and bury or hide your booze really well and then by the time you know it, you're frozen and undetectable because that's what you wanted to be...
    I think she died of the elements trying not to be found because she obviously had an issue with drinking and driving (2car crashes in 2weeks? TF?) and lots of missing persons are not found until months or years later after they leave the scene of their accidents because of the snow or cold weather -
    I think she's around those areas but since it's been 13 years now we will probably never find her

    Hi John
    I was just looking through the comments again from this video as I was wondering if there has been any updates on this case, I saw that Rick L wrote about a video that had been uploaded to RUclips, so I had a look and found the video here;

    Are there any updates about this that you no off? Also are there any other updates?

    I wonder if police have checked her contacts (Email, Cell, Phone within University, Phone within dorm room) to see if anyone contacted her with this fake `death in the family' news . Maybe she thought that there was and told to meet at a location in order to take her where she crashed,having somehow tampered with the car or road.

    Somehow I missed this. I have something to say concerning case selection. I had no idea on how you prioritized most cases. I wrote the major true crime channels some time ago such as yourself, Bella F, Savannah B, Danelle H, Kendall R, Shauna R, Stephanie H and many more concerning 2 cases which are KEITH WARREN and BECKY MARZO. To this day I have no idea if my posts were ever read or acknowledged. It’s safe to assume that the other channels may utilize the same system of waiting until enough people request the same cases. It does not seem that you will get many requests to push these 2 cases upwards so I’m asking you what can I do to help bring focus so that the families can get closer to a resolution? Can I send a petition to your email?
    Thanks for your time.

      also, if she just had a receipt how did she use it? normally receipts don't have all of the credit card info on them. that's odd normally they only have like the last 4 digets of the card and that's it. unless maybe it was a different kind of "receipt" and maybe it was like a bank statement or something but still those don't even have all the info you would need to steal the card / money. so odd. 🤔
      what a shame her dad would let her drink and drive also. he obviously knew she was going to drink and let her drive off. not cool.
      hopefully her case will be solved sometime and her and her family can reset easy. there's also some weird creepy dude who posts RUclips videos related to her case. idk if the cops have talked to him I'm sure they have but still so odd everything about this case is just so weird.

    I don't think she was planning suicide for several reasons. 1. She promised her boyfriend they'd talk later. 2. She told her professors that there was a death in the family. She wouldn't have lied to get a week off excused unless she was planning on coming back. 3. She took as much money out of her bank as she could short of closing her account. If she was planning suicide, she wouldn't care if her account closed. 4. She brought her books and syllabus with her. As for her traveling alone, I don't think she was alone. She purchased quite a bit of liquor. Who drinks that much alone? Maybe she could drink that much in a week by herself, so that's only a minor reason. The bigger reason I think she was with someone is because BOTH airbags deployed. Cars have a switch to keep the airbag from deploying if there's no adult body sitting in the seat. I don't think she was abducted from her vehicle. It's not likely. People that are abducted from their vehicles would probably not lock up. She left willingly. Maybe with somebody who stopped, or maybe she decided to walk until she found someplace. Somebody stuck something in her exhaust pipe. That seems like an interesting clue, but I can't make anything out of it.

    • @cyrene7784

      I'm not sure about the airbag thing. If that's true I'm pretty sure it would have been obvious she had a passenger. I think airbags just deploy on impact.

Also many cadets don't make it through their first year and leave on their own accord. My brother had a roommate who got way too into WoW , neglected his classes and duties to the point where he was going to face the ethics board and left instead. Hope this adds a little light to that small piece of this complex story.
