Interesting thing about us as well is that we have rebuilt section by section
Front line first, Jota, Minamino, Diaz, Nunez, Harvey, Gakpo, Carvalho all in quick succession
Midfield next, Macca, Szob, Gravy, Endo all this last window
And this window was due to be defense, where this formation is the most ill-fitting. We have 5 defenders across 3 positions (not enough imo especially considering the injury records of Matip, Konate and Gomez) and so were due for a new CB and potentially a new LB or two as well. If he does come in I wouldn’t be surprised to see any of: Diomande, Hincapie, Colwill, Murillo, lots of players who can both play LCB or even that LB role if need be, and wouldn’t be surprised to see 2-3 new defenders and a DM.

3 CB's is perfect for Liverpool. Joe Gomez is already getting a lot of experience playing of the left this season meaning Liverpool wont have to sign an expensive starting CB.
Klopp has done really well setting Liverpool up to be able to be transitioned to new tactics and formations when a new manager comes back. Endo has been an amazing signing and can be our starting 6 for at least the next 3 years, macca , Szoboszlai, gravenberch,Jones, Elliott and clark are all young and offer so many tactical options.the front line is insanely versatile and finally the wingbacks .Liverpool have the best wingback combinations in the league, if trent and robbo aren't thwre then you got Bradley and tsimikas, all these wingbacks have started in and won finals for Liverpool.

Good point, the only problem is next season things will be different whatever new manager Liverpool gets meaning teams set up differently to combat new strengths and attack on new weaknesses. Against smaller teams next year especially those who choose to set up in new ways with new managers, space may end up being free making this system thrive against smaller and then larger teams also

Portuguese guy here, i can confirm that ~60% of the teams in the portuguese league play low blocks and counter-attacking football (mostly against the big 3), and amorim often finds a way to soak up the pressure and find spaces even in their offensive half, otherwise there have been times where he outright changes roles to adapt to how the game is being played, so i wouldn't really be worried about that

I think Dom will thrive, as will Nunez. Nunez as the spearhead and Domo behind him would be lethal. Lastly, an Endo/Maca double pivot is super exciting to think about. Good ball players and controlling possession. Curious to see how Trent is implemented in this system.

Our double 6 will likely not be identical to theirs. Young stefan Bajcetic has really strong passing, awareness and tackling ability. Im thinking the new gen of double 6 are identical in their play style, ball progressors that can win the ball back and retain posession.
The other key style in Klopp's system is the geigen press. Geigen pressing with a double 6 could be weird, we usually have one of our midfielders leading the press (Szobo) then the attackers following. Would be interesting to see if counterpressing football is possible with this formation.

Just a small correction. While yes, in the game you showed, Coates was the more "proactive" CB when it came to long passes, in general, the one in our Squad that does it best (and imo, is one of the best CB in the world doing it) is Gonçalo Inácio, who wasnt at the game against Boavista. And Inácio, being left foot + Coates being right foot gives some good chances of finding any space from their passes. One more thing to point out is that, even if the block is low, Inácio will instead try to find the space between their defenders and midfield, so not only he can put it behind the defenders but he can put it in between lines. I think if Amorim goes to Liverpool he will try to bring Inácio with him.

No doubt Jones is an excellent player and seems to be becoming more complete with each game he plays. But to say he is our most complete midfielder is a bit of a stretch. Alexis Macallister is one of the most complete midfielders in the whole of the premier-league let alone just Liverpool. His performance last night against Sheffield United was magnificent. Being switched from a 6 to an 8 and back again shows how truly versatile he is ( he could easily play at a 10 as well ), and that goal will become as iconic as Stevie G's goal against Olympiacos if we go on to win the league.

Because a lot of the team composition doesn't suit it. Why would liverpool start 5 defenders against a weak team like Sparta Prague? Not to mention, Trent really doesn't suit the bombing wing back role at this stage of his career, nor do I think it's something he'd be excited to do, to be honest. Bradley is another story there, but then it makes it harder to start the best XI when there it's only a midfield two

And this the same Line up squad they play currently i know what is Amorim play as 343 but i think in the future or currently we have to forget about typical formation . “The way we play and management in any situation” is much more important than formation . This Line up i think only different is ability of Szobo and Macca. Amorim will lost some skill set from Wingback but he will get controlling passing and vision from both midfield. And much more important things is the kids from academy or player who promoted into first team already we have chance to grow up Like Bobby,Tyler etc. Appreciate if anyone read this comment lol i need to express what i think to all liverpool fans. 😊❤
