      @@BaconNinjaFPV I agree 100%… part of the reason I didn’t end up buying one is because I just didn’t have any frames that fit it correctly… and I figured that a smaller version would be coming soon.

    1000% on everything you said Bacon.. Looking forward myself to blowing out my Race v2 to pickup this new VTX. The only thing I will say is i got the Nano 90 with the adapter for a 5" TBS Source frame and it *did* fit with the adapter but over the spring and summer of as much flying as I could; the mounting holes into the cam became wallowed out and found one screw completely gone. A bit of aluminum foil in the hole and got the threads to stick. Ended up replacing with the Micro V2 and such an easier fit. Love the Nano but for 5", without much knowledge or some handy 3D prints (which I did have at the time) I just would caution there's too much void that caused vibrations that ended up giving me the issues I had. Regardless, love the HDZ system and looking forward to the future of what Carl and the team can do!

    Hey Bacon! What about the update port on the Freestyle V2? Chris Rosser showed that you need an adapter to connect it to the goggles for updating? And it's not even included? Totally confused about this... lol . ..And the plastic securing of the ufl feels just ... why?

    • @BaconNinjaFPV
      @BaconNinjaFPV  Год назад +1

      As best I can tell, they really prefer you use the programmer rather than the goggle/VTX connection for flashing now and that little thing comes with both cables you need to flash any HDZ product. Now should they have included a cable for those who may not have/want a programmer? Absolutely, lol. As for the plastic UFL and mipi bars, I believe they went that way and stopped using brass because people were cranking those things down and breaking stuff. They had started adding little pads with it to soften contact with the UFL and mipi, but a lot of broken UFLs ripped off of boards were from that cracking the solder at the base of them. With plastic that would be super hard to break, and honestly they are so narrow that breaking the plastic from typical crash forces isn't going to be common. Really good questions!!!!

    for me the HDzero's biggest flaw is its breakup, I can't fly through it, it reminds me of analog but a bit scarier because it gets really bad really fast, and the times when it looks "good" its never static free. I may feel different if it gave me a clear image for most line of sight flights, but I can't even get that out of it.

    • @BaconNinjaFPV
      @BaconNinjaFPV  Год назад

      yeah it does have some unique breakup, that is for sure. For some pilots it isn't a deal breaker, but I totally get where you are coming from.
