28:40 "Don't try to compete with the world." Spot on. The games the world plays are not what we want to be playing. We're working for different rewards than they are. While they guzzle beer, we're earning PHDs metaphorically. While they value success, wealth, status, notoriety, etc, we value lasting peace and prosperity. Ultimately, if I were the parent of a kid who said that, I'd say "Do you want to play games or do you want to overcome all the problems life will throw at you so you can enjoy a long life of stability, security, and joy?" I wonder if we shelter our kids so much that they don't believe or comprehend that troubles will come?

I just listened to this and I LOVE much of what you say.
However, (I know this is 5 years old now) I hope you’ve gained a better understanding of repentance than what’s presented.
This is NOT a “I’ll just change my mind” event and I’ve repented.
This is a door you MUST GO THROUGH and Christ is the ONLY one who manages that door.
I’d LOVE to share my experience with repentance with you.
It is such an incredible and amazing thing 😁.
Most people miss out.

Thank you Hannah for the lesson. I always feel after listening to your podcasts and from what little reading I have been able to find on Brigham Young's and Joseph Smith's teachings, a call to be far better. I also highly enjoy the specificity that you and Brigham Young call out the Evils in our world. With that as a backdrop what do you make of the Church's new losey Goosey For Strength of Youth? Also the new allowance for some tattoo's? I feel disheartened by this trend towards vagueness.

This is a great re-release of the "Come Follow Me" Rod did. This has an interesting view on how far the posterity of Lehi spread. I have to think about it because this is a very uncommon perspective about Lehi's decedent's.
31:30 Shortly after being baptized I heard President Marion G Romney say That he drank at the source of the spring and not down stream from it. it is a standard I have ever since, to first read from the scriptures to form my own view of what they say to me, and then see how others interpret what they have read.

41:45 this is a good example of how I have read things differently, and if I misunderstand what has been written,I would appreciate being corrected. As I read 3Ne. 26: 8-11, I hear the Lord to be saying that we as gentiles will receive the sealed portion of the BofM., when and if the children of Lehi accept with sufficient faith the portion which Joseph Smith was allowed to translate.
John 14 says the Father and the Son will come down and sup with you. 17:49
