If you want better performance with high APL scenes in HDR you should go with the A90J. It is still actually the brightest OLED rtings has tested for 50% window. 25% and 100% are also competitive. so the WRGB+heatsink+microlens-array panel only matches the 2nd gen QD-OLED without heatsink(nor microlens-array) based on that the Sony A95L(same panel but with heatsink) should come out handedly on top against everything else this year, i wonder if samsung is gonna adjust the price of the S95C downwards accordingly, compared to the G3 their TV panel has countably fewer steps involved and their profit margin would be way higher than LG's at the same price
LG G3 almost seems to have a Sony touch to the picture.. Can't wait to see what Sony does. Samsung - can't trust at moment, maybe after a few updates. Plus hope Samsung places these among their premium models, at most stores the S95B was hidden away.
One thing I always notice with wrgb is how it struggles with lighter greens. For example scenes(2.44 + 13.50). The wrgb tends to push a barker base green and isn't as realistic with the subtle yellow and orange highlight's. Whereas the qdoled looks more like an led in this respect. Same with grass, always too dark a shade. This is a bit weird given the green subpixel is far and away the brightest of the three.
I personally don't like Samsung and I don't buy Samsung TVs anymore, because their TVs have many enhanced colors, often unrealistic colors, and often break down.
All these comparisons point to one conclusion: both TVs are fantastic, have great image performance so you won't be disappointed. If you want a sleek wall mount TV get the LG, if you need a stand mount or more standard wall mount get the Samsung.
It's gonna come down to Price. Samsung fired the 1st shot @ $4500 forcing LG to follow it's lead. Sony is waiting for Samsungs Price war with LG and then will occupy that $4500 price point for it's Master Series. Look for Samsung to lower the Price to $3999.99 force LG to follow and then Sony will launch. Samsung sells more TVS than LG and will see profits even at the lower price point. It's a Win for the consumer.

Brian, I would pick the G3 because you don’t know is Samsung will update and make picture inferior. Both are pretty close. I think Samsung has a little better color.
This is exactly my thought. Samsung firmware updates with S95B have been up & down. That has me worried & can't fully trust samsung. I'm leading towards G3
Same here. I’d hate to find my tv has been diminished in some way even with auto update turned off
Color differences are likely due to how the camera captures qd-oled (S95C red push) vs W-oled (LG G2 blue push). In person I don't think there's any difference.

From what I’ve seen Niko, MLA is the truth simply because of the brightness and worth the upgrade based on everyone I’ve watched.
Brian, at 6:30, you say both TV's are so close. How can you say that! The S95C has a nice white/grey wall and the G3 has it as blue. I'm not a Samsung fan but Sammy for the win, for colours anyway.
He always says you can’t truly compare what you see on RUclips because the camera changes things. So when he’s says things like they’re close he’s talking about in person
Let me shorten this down for you:
"They are so close that until Samsung gets Dolby they can kiss my ass."
Don't trust Samsung with their updates. Lg has a much better track record for long term ownership and their updates.
I know this isn’t a big deal to some but I just love how Dolby vision looks… why why can’t Samsung stop doing whatever they are doing and adopt it like almost everyone else .. this is like HD-DVD not giving up vs blu-ray … they add Dolby Atmos though I’m shocked they didn’t try to find their own sound codec as well…. Because of that Samsung is out for me and it has to be the lg or Sony … how much is Samsung really saving not adding Dolby I Dont get it …..
Watch “Stop the FOMO” talk about the comparisons between Dolby vision and HDR10+. It’s not the difference you think it is. I personally preferred the Samsung.
Hi Brian,
I'm exchanging my Sony A90K tomorrow. I'm trying to decide between a Sony A90J or LG C3. Which is the better TV?
A90J?? That’s a 2021 model.. stick with a90k or upgrade to a c3
If you want better performance with high APL scenes in HDR you should go with the A90J. It is still actually the brightest OLED rtings has tested for 50% window. 25% and 100% are also competitive.
Early reports are that the C3 is basically the C2 rebooted for 2023. Nothing game changing there. But maybe wait for reviews with measurements to confirm
However, if you are a big gamer than you can't go wrong with LG. They have everything you need in that department
Almost everything has been squeezed out of this technology. Both screens work the same, it's a matter of image settings. :)

7:55 look at the leaves. Either the Samsung so bright it clips the camera or the LG just has more detail. Wonder what the reference monitor would show.
Am I the only ne who noticed how blue the G3 is!!?? Concrete is not blue! It is gray! Probably G3. I can't stand color fringing issues on QD-OLED in 2D games and Windows text.

Hey Brian just wanted to thank you for all your help! Along with KG and Fomo, I ended up buying the 77" G3 from Value Electronics and waiting for it to ship to me 😄
Surprised how close it was between these two in terms of brightness and colors. Samsung looked over saturated a bit, LG had a more natural look. I’m probably gonna get the G3 just because LG has the best reliability and also Dolby vision. Also I can actually update my tv without worrying lol
Yes, Samsung images look fake, even in smartphones. It doesn’t correspond to reality.

For me, I prefer the richness in color of the S95C and I also plan to use the q symphony feature with the HW Q990C surround sound setup.
so the WRGB+heatsink+microlens-array panel only matches the 2nd gen QD-OLED without heatsink(nor microlens-array)
based on that the Sony A95L(same panel but with heatsink) should come out handedly on top against everything else this year, i wonder if samsung is gonna adjust the price of the S95C downwards accordingly, compared to the G3 their TV panel has countably fewer steps involved and their profit margin would be way higher than LG's at the same price
This is going to come down to your user experience. Which TV will give you the best user experience regarding sound and other features?
G3 natural look, samsung pop colors, which is best for gaming?
And great job Brian you and fomo are the few who are showing MLA tech some love
Do you think we will ever see a QD-OLED with MLA? Is that even possible?
Brian had post with the Samsung rep and he said it wasn’t possible because QD-OLED is top emissive tech.
6 minutes in and looking at the side by side with the ambient light and it seems like the S95C has much higher black levels than the G3 and the S95C also has the pink hue. Was this something you actually noticed in person?
I'll go for G3 undoubtedly.
