Hello everyone. There is no loss of contrast or color on the G3. This is 10,000 nit content to illustrate the brightness differences. The G3 is just as rich in color than the C3. Thank you for watching
In a store no-one is watching a 10000 nit Spear's and Muncil disk. The Best Buy video didn't really show much difference between the 2. You pointed out in your video what I was seeking at Best Buy. The MLA only reflects just a small amount of lost light. Which the C3 doesn't loose a lot of in normal content.
@@Jay41015 For the G3 having MLA it is. However it is still better to wait for better price drops. The content that you watch on a C3 isn't going to be very noticeable when seeing both Tv's side by side. I saw both up close and there isn't much of a noticeable difference. If your question revolves around your personal buying decision the only person that can really answer your own question is you. With MLA your only supposed to get like 20% more brightness out of the G3. I believe the G3 has a few other features that the C3 doesn't have as well. WOW Orchestra I think is one. I don't remember. I don't have an LG Sound bar either.
Just got a 65" C3 for my home cinema, and moved my "old" CX 55" to my racing sim rig. I was worried that the C3 would not be much of an upgrade from the CX. The worry was unwarranted; it's a wonderful upgrade. Picture is even cleaner, brighter and more vibrant that the CX. It's incredible. I just couldn't justify the splurge for the G3 this time, but I don't feel like I'm missing out that much. The C3 is amazing!
That sound well. I am thinking about if I have to should buy the 77" c3 or the G3 55inch. I think the Bigger size brings more fun than the better peak brightness of G3
Yeah I was going to buy the G3 but I think I’m a go with the C3. The G3 is way more expensive which isn’t the problem for me. The problem is it only comes with a wall mount an no stand which is very hard to believe…especially as much as it is in price difference. Plus I’m not a wall mount type guy to be honest. I want to be able to move my tv easily and whenever I want without any help. With a wall mount I don’t have that option an it will take longer even with help. An yes I do understand you can buy a stand for it for an extra $150 an up depending on the size. Which is beyond crazy in my opinion smh
Apple TV+ app on all TVs (not the tabletop ATV box) now natively also shows HDR10+ I’m shocked that more people are not mentioning this. Most on YT only cover the ATV tabletop box. The fact that the regular ATV+ app on all TVs now also supports HDR10+ is a bigger win for Samsung (than having to pay the ATV extra $150) I bought the new Creed III on ATV+ app and it displayed it in HDR10+ That’s big time IMHO! And my DARK HORSE 2023 award (Not your vote for G3MLA 😂) In all seriousness though I think adding this (to Amazon Prime already in their HDR10+ camp) is a major win for HDR10+ @@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY
Impossible to tell from a RUclips video. So many variables before it hits whatever screen you’re watching this on. I believe the main issue with this comparison is the camera’s exposure is set up for the C3’s brightness making it appear more saturated and making the G3 look almost blown out.
C3 also. on this video most of the scenes give me more wow on the lg c3. sunlight looks brighter on the 77 inch compare to the lg g3 65 inch with mla technique. difficult choices this year. go for the 65 inch g3 or 77 inch c3
@@janduller4722 you’re going by one image dude? Come on. Sony is the only OLED worth getting because of their superior video processing. LG OLED are cheap trash.
Just myself got a 65 inch C3. I’m pretty excited, it’s my first OLED TV .. I’m simply not a fan of super bright TVs where the colors feel almost too saturated, too unrealistic, I always have a hard time using my Dad’s Samsung S95B too, or any of their TVs in general. Maybe it’s just me but after spending the day comparing the C3 in store to the G3.. I felt the the former to be more natural in color with a nice balance to it. Great side by side video, I’d say it’s pretty accurate to what I experience today up close
Got the same recently and still wondering if I should've went with the G3...not sure it's needed for the extra money. I mean the C3 looks awesome, and the differences are going to be hard to notice for most people as I'm not a huge audiophile/video expert. Maybe the fact it's not an obvious yes or no is my answer.
@@josuexq after months of research I ended up with Sony a80l. My final choices was that or a bigger 75 x90l. Or could go up to a 77c3. Wanted a Sony but the 77 a80l was 2x the price of its 65! Almost pulled the trigger with 85 x95l (it’s the only size).. but my savings would take a hit
I don't know why, but I like the stronger deeper colors more in the c3 😂 maybe just me… Just an example in the cactus flower the yellow in g3 is so bright compared to c3 where is deeper yellow or the second picture on the watch movement.on g3 is to pale and too bright compared to c3 ,where I can see a better gold color and richer. I’m looking to buy a tv and after this comparison I will consider C3 a good choice.
I also noticed that the colors on C3 are more saturated, deeper. I even paused the film to compare the images and with the naked eye you can see that the colors are more saturated on c3. Maybe it's because g3 is more bright, so the colors are too bright. I was supposed to buy a c3 yesterday and canceled to wait for the g3. The only thing that speaks in favor of the g3 is the 5-year manufacturer's warranty and the brightness of better whiteness. I'd have to compare both live tvs to see which one is better. However, this video shows better colors in c3.
It's probably the camera or my old eyes but I actually like C3 picture and its slightly darker quality than the G3. I will have to view them in person but I would have no problem owning the 77 C3.
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Love those Seattle scenes on both the OLEDS. I’m now determined to get the C3 77” because of the word you mentioned “immersive”. I can’t do wall mounting so that’s a deal breaker for me with the G3 plus I still have to buy a separate stand for it. I’m coming from C7 65” so a C3 with a 77” size would be a welcome for me. Tried digitally putting that 77” on where my C7 65” is standing and OMG it is huge 😮
At 15:28 the bright flower on the cactus is so bright on the G3 it takes away from the fine detail. Some images look better on the G3 and some on the C3. I think pricing into consideration the C3 is the best buy hands down.
In Best Buy today doing some window shopping. The S95C looked clear and very saturated. LG had a better “realistic” look to the picture. But LG’s reflection and being able to easily detect all sorts of lights and shapes in the redirection was pretty apparent. The Samsung definitely had less reflection. Just my 30 minute old experience.
My observation regarding the reflections was exactly the opposite. It could be just an effect of screen locations. On Rtings both G3 and S95C are scored 9.5 on reflection, albeit the actual measurement numbers for G3 are just bit better. Probably not enough to make any difference in real world scenarios. Reflection handling on both TV's is very very good.
I just noticed that the extra brightness of the G3 is killing the picture. Some of the details looked so bright to the point that they are no longer noticeable. Whereas with the C3, the brightness is controlled and all the details are there, looks amazing.
The camera’s lense exposure appears to be dialed into the C3’s brightness rendering this comparison video useless. You have to go off what the reviewer is saying in this case, not showing.
Yes, good point. I also love the G3's modern design being less than 1" thick and the built-in no-gap wall mount and the G3's TV's audio is also upgraded.
That does not include *Labor, only parts. BestBuy and other companies provide 5 year warranty as well that’s much better than the LG because it covers every aspect of the tv, of course minus accidental damage, but even then there’s other insurance options.
@@tears2040 We also offer up to 5 years of in-home warranty service that covers all parts and labor. Many of our clients opt to ouse our exclusive 5% store credit to go towards the 5 year warranty coverage.
At best buy I can see a difference between the c3 and g3 and understand g3 being the higher end version...The overbrightness of white sometimes takes away from the rich color scheme where id question if im still looking at an oled or not.... If I toned it down I'm not sure if its worth the price compared to c3 where the vivid "popping" signature still occurs. But with colors there is an amazing difference for a good gradient as mentioned in the video. Color accuracy becomes questionable at times but maybe that's where the ai comes in based upon picture preference....unless you're a TV wizard who watches TV A LOT(movies or gaming) or has multiple LGs I doubt if you'd recognize the difference between the c3 and g3 when they're by themselves after a few weeks(also keep in mind if g3 color boost is available for your mode of playback) Overall, can't go wrong with either one but If you can afford the G3 or gotta have the best lol do it(I'd tone it down a little)...but c3 is still an extra clean tv that is good enough for me that I'll probably end up with C3 (a person who still is amazed by his CX 😁)
Thanks for the video. Is their any difference in brightness or picture quality between the 83 “C3 and the 83” G3? The G3 at that size doesn’t have MLA.
I am struggling big time even after this. With prices right now on sale the G3 77" is $1400 more than the C3 77". I am getting rid of my Panasonic VT60 Plasma of 10 yrs. In the store the G3 is a huge difference, but at home I won't have two side by side to compare. I imagine even the C3 will be a drastic difference from my old plasma. The other pro outside of the brightness is the included 5yr warranty which is insane to come from the manufacturer. I welcome all and any advise thank you so much.
G2 vs C3 honestly seems like the video that many of us need to see. Has C3 caught up to G2 in terms of level measurements, if so that’s a great option. As always thanks for the videos 🔥
You'll see it soon J! Our friends at Value Electronics have a few G2's on display and I'll definitely get that comparison done for you. Thank you for watching
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Great video Brian. the lg c3 no mla panel. but it looks also great. also a new panel at the lg c3? 77 inch c3 looks better for me on youtube then the lg g3 65 inch. I have a lg cx 65 inch. is the lg c3 much better? 77 inch to big for me maybe. but you recommended me the lg c3 77 inch over the lg g3 65 inch?
I would prefer the 77 G3, but it's way out of my budget. I'm going to wait till black Friday to hopefully snag a 77 C3 for 3k or less. If it doesn't drop to this price, then I'll just wait till next year.
TBH, I don't see much difference between the two sets based on your video Brian. If there are differences, then they appear to be very, very subtle. Maybe the differences are more obvious in person compared to a RUclips video. After watching the videos by you and FOMO comparing the G3 to the S95C and now this comparison it's apparent that all the higher level OLED TVs from the big 3 brands have excellent image quality. In real home usage we don't have two TVs next to one another showing a paused video image so we can pixel peep and try to pick out every tiny difference. When we watch movies, ideally we're caught up in the story and not worrying that the sweater on the lead actress might be just a smidge too pink. Watching sports gets us caught up in the game and the competition and not concerned that the "Green Monster" in Fenway Park might be a touch under saturated. Of course an in-person viewing in a store should ideally be done before a TV purchase. Just select the size TV that's right for you, and decide on what features are important in your situation. Then just buy whichever upper level OLED is cheaper. At least that's what I intend on doing. Thanks.
For some, it feels massive, and for others, it's minimal. It really depends on what matters to you and if the little differences are worth paying for . Thank you for watching
never go solely by youtube vids for final word on any TV's PQ... go to best buy or value electronics.. Sadly Both pull last years models (more often than not) so that comparison is usually mute. But the newest can always be compared. Last year really sucked for best buy though they didnt have any high end new tv's till august in Maryland. Most every store got a redesign.. pulled out most of the Magnolia rooms!
I actually prefer the C3 in some of these shots. It might be coming through my phone differently but the brightness of the G3 seems to be washing out some details. Idk
G3 seems to lose some details in the brighter area compared to C3. The real changes is G3 white.. it's white and it has much brightness xD. At the end i bought C3 thanks
can you make a c2 vs c3 possibly a 42" comparison and maybe a Sony A90k vs LG C3 42" or 48" please, the price for A90k and C3 42 is minimal in the uk and unsure which to go for just for picture quality
How is the C3’s panel uniformity? I would be offended if I bought an expensive television only to find a prominent pink-tinted band in the panel like what was found in many of last year’s WOLED panels, ruining their picture quality. Many demos of the G3 show the pink tint or other dirty screen effects being reduced to such small amounts that they can easily be ignored if they are even present. What I really want to know is whether the reduced pink tint and other dirty screen effects are results of LG Display upgrading its build process or quality control process to ship fewer defective panels, if the reduction of those artifacts in the G3 is a result of MLA helping the wanted colors overwhelm the unwanted pink tint or other dirty screen effects to the point that they can be ignored, or if LG Electronics is applying different quality control standards across different lines with the G3 and probably the Z3 getting the best quality control.
Both have very good screen uniformity my friend. Not tinting on either TV. Also no tinting on the 3 different G3's that I spent time with. Hope this helps and thank you for watching
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Also the 83” will have the newer EX panel that the last years 83” G2 did not have. Only the 77” and 65” had the better panel EX on G2 s
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY At 5:31 with the beaver on top of the rock it looked like some detail was lost? Especially underneath its feet. Was this just over exposure by the camera?
Great video Brian! Quick question... Does the G3 have any increased motion clarity/smoothness over the C3/C2? Also between the G3 and S95C? I currently have a C1 and really enjoy the 120Hz BFI (Black Frame insertion) and find that a bit less brightness is worth the tradeoff for the motion clarity / smoothness.
The fact that an 83” G3 doesn’t have MLA is a massive dealbreaker for the 83” G3. The eye-watering price of an 83” G3 without the new MLA technology was very odd to me. I want an 83”, but I’m impressed with the G3 with MLA. Right now, I’m trying to decide between an 83” C3 versus a 77” G3 for a TV in room with a fair amount of natural light. Gaming via PS5 is definitely a big component as well. It largely comes down to the room and the price for the size difference (more money for less size on the G3). Any thoughts on choosing between an 83” C3 versus a 77” G3 when factoring in gaming in a room with a fair amount of natural light and the price? I’ve been second-guessing like crazy!
Yeah, makes no sense why the 83" does not also have MLA. Having seen the G3 and I have the S95B, there is no way I would go for non-MLA LG OLED. G3 with MLA looks amazing.
@@PyroKaboom197 It comes down to the battle between price, size, and MLA. The C3 has size (83” but no MLA) and the G3 has MLA (but only 77”). Right now, the 83” C3 is $3,999.99; the 77” G3 is $3,499.99. I don’t like either of those prices, so the jury is still out on which is the right choice.
The G series has more clarity than the C series. C2/3 are more granular. It's not necessarily brightness I perceived when I bought mine. Samsung S95B/C are definitely competing with the G series. Maybe the S90C is now slotted to compete with C3?
I’ve been waiting for C2 77” to drop below 2500 to pull the trigger or do you think the C3 is enough of an upgrade over the C2 to justify the price difference at this moment ?
Friend, is there a difference in the black of the panel when it is turned off?? Is the G3 model a mirror turned off as well as the C3 or is it matte?? Because I know that this influences scenes where the background is all black, it has a bluish tone and is not as deep black as the C3 which is a black mirror, this is noticeable in Oled demo videos on RUclips. Enviar feedback
Appreciate the video, but I think the exposure choice is doing a disservice to the G3. It looks like the exposure is set for the C3 output, which means the much brighter G3 gets blown out, desaturated, and actually looks bad. Exposure should be set and locked off for the brightest tv in the comparison, and let the dimmer tv look dimmer (as it is).
I'm actually struggling with choosing a 77 G3 vs an 83 C3. You said you would always go with the bigger model, but that extra brightness on the 77 G3 leaves me thinking!
@@Moon-lt1dl i did, they’re both in store here. The G3 77 is much brighter than the C3 83. I went with the g3 77. Bought it yesterday. Let’s see how it goes!
@@DNGMaestro Thanks for the input!hmm so you believe you’ll be watching a lot of content at higher brightness than what the c3 offers? As far as picture quality and color was there any discernible difference? In vids the brightness almost makes it looked washed out at times, while in person folks say it makes it pop and adds another sort of dimension to it? I suppose it really shines in HDR where it can show it’s range!
@@Moon-lt1dl Well, the guy in the store put the exact same movie at the exact same time, with the exact settings on both and freezed it in some lower light parts and the G3 was overwhelmingly clearer and brighter. So, it's not a question of "will i be watching a lot of higher brightness content" as it makes a difference even in lower brightness content, which is interesting. The G3 is also less reflective of light, as i evidenced it in some tests he made with light, so also better for daytime viewing. Besides that, they're both excellent TV's. It would be less of a difference between the C3 83 and the G3 83 as the G3 83 does not have MLA. However, it's a pretty big difference between the MLA g3's and the C3. Ultimately i sacrificed a bit of size and went for the higher end.
On the LG Best Buy display they had 2 LG QNED TV's next to the LG Oleds it was my first time seeing these newer Oleds and mini LED display panels. [ I hate the word panels,it's a display] In years passed I always paid more attention to Led LCD Tv's. Any way you're not wrong for choosing a micro LED panel this over a new OLED TV. The LG QNED are just as fantastic in brightness and color accuracy for what I saw at Best Buy next to the LG G3 & LG C3. These micro LED TV's are so underrated in picture quality and over all brightness. My only complaint is that nobody wants to talk about, except for Caleb is the over the lifespan on mini led lamps because when these small individual lamps start to deteriorate at different rates and times the dirty screen effect is going to happen, and it's a topic every major TV reviewer wants to avoid, like they need to keep the subject alive about OLED burn in. However dirty screen effect is just as bad when watching sports or a bright scenes. I hate DSE with a passion but this subject rarely if ever comes up with new LED displays. However it's OLED burn in has to be a thing year after year. When you have TV manufacturers do things to mitigate it OLED burn in. Even with micro leds there is going to be minor blooming but going to have deeper blacks around that minor area will be bloomed.
Yup, a panel is just the screen when it comes from the factory. An individual part to a TV. Someone heard it, thought it sounded cool and now people use it out of context. Especially Brian lmao.
Brian, thanks for doing this video. I'm old & have watched lots of OLED comparison videos... It's been hard trying to decide on any one brand/model. I'm thrilled today that I saw your video. You presented all comparison details very clearly & understandable. I seem to prefer the C3 'richness of color' more so than the G3 brightness & helping me to make this decision is so satisfying!!
My second comment. Watching again. G3 is fantastic. C3 is very good too though with better contrast? Probably is the camera. Is very difficult to capture what the eye sees. Another great video.
I've been using LG Oled for the past 10years...however I recently purchased a Panasonic Oled 65LZ1500e because the picture quality is so so good...but I am returning it for the LG Oled because the remote will not operate my other devices like the LG magic remote...I want the G3 but there is no stand mount🤷🏻♂️
Another awesome video. I am finally looking to upgrade from my 54” Panasonic G25 and going up to a 77” screen. Deciding between the G3, C3, S95C, & S90C. Between you, FOMO, KG, Classy Tech, & Robert’s input. I think eventually I’ll be able to decide. Thanks!
Hey Brian I just had to make this decision. G3 77 is plagued with this popping sound coming from the back of the G3 and G2. I’ve had two G3 77s. Now tomorrow Best Buy is bringing and mounting a C3 83inch . I’ve only had 77 inch . This will be my biggest tv yet . I had LG corporate send me a check as of yesterday for my G2 . So I’ll be looking for perhaps this years edition. Thanks again for the content.
8:06 interesting, I’m always on the lookout for darker areas (one thing I don’t like about oleds).. but here, under the flower on the lower right..dark area.. we see more details from g3 vs a c3
I'm on my second S95b. The first one just died. Now I'm getting 3/4 screen, 1/4 screen overlays of green or red. You can see the image behind the green or red but the only fix I've found is to do a manual pixel refresh. It's an amazing tv when it's not having issues, but this has happened 5 times on a 4 month old television. I have a feeling I'm going to be returning it, as these problems will persist. Probably going to go with an LG. Thanks for the comparison, great video love your stuff!!!
So sorry your going through this B! Worst feeling in the world! That's probably the hardest thing with Samsung. Quality control and trust. Good luck with whatever you choose my friend. Thank you so much for being here
Exaclty what I was going to post. When there’s a very bright area, detail seems to be lost/washed out on the G3. The darker scenes however, the detail looks better on the G3. 🤷🏻♂️
Wow we really are spoiled for choice compared to the TVs of yesteryear when you were moving the rabbit ears to get a clear picture. I went with the C3 based on price but I would probably enjoy the pop of the G3. For a bright room I think you would need it.
@@janduller4722 Looking at the same scene, in the upper right corner, there appears to be MUCH more detail in the G3. I think there's seemingly more orange in the C3 because it CAN'T get as bright as the G3, and darker generally looks deeper (until you lose detail, then darker = a blob). If I were leaning towards the C due to budget, I'd go C2 for even more savings because I don't see enough value to go to C3 for extra $$$
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY do you agree with this? If I only look at the design, I think the LG is slightly nicer. But, personally, I'd end up buying the Samsung. Why? - The pixel structure of the Samsung is RBG. Which produces a lifelike color reproduction. With the LG, colors appear less vivid and the images are less sharp. - The Samsung has 8 built-in speakers. LG, 6. These are plus points for me and more important than the design. But that's a personal preference of course
Thanks for helping me make my decision to get the MLA panel in the 77" G3. It's the closest thing I've seen to a 4K 3D television without the need for 3D glasses. I'm getting it to replace my Sony Z9D which was 4K and 3d. The Z9D got me accustomed to bright TV's with pretty good black levels, and the MLA panel G3 greatly exceeds it in picture quality and black levels with a similar level of brightness, but more immersion without the need for 3D glasses. Thanks again!
Please help me decide. I'm confused between 55 inch G3 and 65 inch C3 for my bedroom. This confusion totally arises because of the price point. My selling point for the G3 is the flush wall mount only. my viewing distance is 8-11 feet. thank you in advance,

Hola vengo de una G2 de 65 y estoy en el dilema de comprarme la g3 de 65 o la c3 de 77? Cual me recomendarías mas pra una sala de tele obscura y para ver peliculas y streaming en 4k???
Hi Brian I went to my Lakeland, FL Best Buy on Friday. They have a Top to bottom comparison with the LG 65" C3 with the LG G3 65" G3 there isn't much brightness between the two watching their demo video. I only noticed one scene where the MLA made one minor scene brighter. Those who will buy the C3 over the G3 isn't going to really miss out on not buying the G3 for the higher price. A side note they still have a C2 55" or 65 "in the box. I couldn't believe it.
Here's the deal.... The best size for my space and my intended uses is a 55". I like a cinematic presentation for movies and clarity of sports. I've learned that OLED TVs are great for sports. I may do some gaming, but probably not online. I would consider a 50" G3 if it existed given the tech enhancements. But since it doesn't exist in 50", then it comes down to which 55" I should buy. For the $500.00 price difference, I think I'll go with the C3 and maybe a soundbar over the G3. Or I might just take the five hundred and put it into something else.
I was looking at the 42C3 to use in a spare office/bedroom for TV watching and extended laptop monitor. It was going to mounted on a TV articulating arm. The 42" size was sold out or unavailable in the C2 and C3 models. The 42" size prices was very close to the 48" sizes. The biggest price difference was the 48C2 was $600 cheaper than the 48C3. Ended up going for the cheaper 48C2 and added a Sonos Beam soundbar.
This was very important. Seeing the G3 next to the S95C was great but the differences where very minimal. On RUclips you couldn't get a feeling on how great they actually look. Now compared to a standard OLED we get an idea what you were talking about 😎
Still rocking a C1 77" and love it, for me it will be 2024 and the C4, it will be the most considerable upgrade for the C series since it's inception, since good chance is it will ship with MLA.
Thank you for a this comparison, this is precisely what I am trying to decide on. May I ask why is a 77" panel naturally brighter than a smaller counter part?
Hi Guys, i was considering buying the top notch g4 or g3 but after seeing all the reviews and comparisons i dont really think the price difference of nearly 1200 G3 to 1600 G4 is worth going for. especially i would mostly watch movies on streaming or panasonic 4k blue ray and cause I m pc gamer anyways. Am I right? (coming from an oldie 7 year old 55 inch lg led) @brian how far is your seating distance for the 83 inch c3?
I have no way to compare two TVs side by side - only order and delivery. Therefore, I ask you to help with the choice. I have large windows on the north side and the room is not too bright. I watch mostly movies and youtube after lunch or at night. I can't choose between 77C3, 65G3 - the price is almost the same. After watching your review, I even started thinking about 65C3 (saving 1400 USD). Please help me choose.
It all depends on the size you need as well as what you have now. I like MLA but if you need a 77" , MLA on a 65" G3 can't over power the 77" C3. If 77" is to big grab the 65" MLA but if you have room the 77" c3 wins. Hope this helps and thank you for watching
While the G3 is brighter, brighter is not always better. Compared the the C3, it appears that the G3 is hindered by its brightness as a lot of the darker detail colors seems to be washed off the image. Just my opinion.
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY haha. Brian with what camera did you film the demo. Also I find resolution DPI is higher on smaller screens. Hopefully Apple will release their 4K VR headset with Reality Pro OS. That is complete immersion.
Thanks as always, for bringing the early comparisons brother! Always appreciate these videos, and “first looks”. 💜 These are the things I dream about on a daily 🙃 “C3 has a more efficient panel”….(in terms of Vs the C2) idk about that one boss 😅 From what I’ve seen too, the C3 looks nearly identical to C2, tho I know you guys gotta push your narrative to sell these things lol. Sure, C3 will be/is better, but I’m telling ya side by side, you’d be hard pressed to see a true difference between those two sets. (C2/C3) C2 is absolutely an amazing TV imo, and what people should be considering, if they’re not jumping into MLA, and wanna get a hell of a deal on a last year model. I also don’t know about the whole color being better on the G3 narrative, in terms of having a larger color gamut or anything…gamut is the same as 2022 WRGB’s. Almost unchanged. Yes, MLA is helping focus the light better, so color are filtered a bit better…brighter panels and having a bigger color range for the panels luminance capabilities, does result in a more 3D/dynamic look. That is dynamic range there boss, and why we LOVE HDR! (At least most of us 😅 who aren’t 🦆’s) The real difference imo, is really in how the subpixels are being boosted. It’s not the panel being “better” per say, and is more processing related….fine tuning. The panels are unchanged, chemistry wise, minus MLA being added on the G series. So it’s sorta like the ole A90J did, when they got amazing color/color volume out of even a WBC panel, with their processing/subpixel boosting sorcery! LG’s really dialing in their OLEDs subpixel boosting algorithm and what not, these days, resulting in less white subpixel dilution (something that truly bothered me on my old CX, and I could never truly rectify, even with calibration) My C2 doesn’t have this effect, to the extent it takes me out of it…thank goodness! I immediately noticed the improvement. Glad to see them further improving color tho, and getting rid of a huge complaint of mine, that I had in the past. As far as raised blacks, and gamma/PQ tracking being off…(raised gamma look) Idc what OLED it is, you’re going to notice that…if you’re anything like me at least. Those things being off OOTB, are a BIG DEAL. (Remember the CX?!?) Sure, it’s an easy fix, but LG really needs to stop dropping sets, with black issues OOTB. It tainted the CX so bad for me. So this shouldn’t be glossed over, bc you can’t see it watching high quality demo material. Where these issues arise, are mainly in bit-rate starved content, like streaming. Those black level issue will show, mark my words. Also, mark my words that LG will fix it 😜 They should just try releasing things not “broken” tho. It helps. First impressions are EVERYTHING
I was in store recently and did not notice much of a difference if any with C2 vs C3. Need to wait for actual measurement videos, C3 upon my first impression looks extremely similar as C2. The LG C2 might be an excellent purchase now or even a G2
@@tears2040 Hey man 👋 Been awhile since I’ve talked to ya! Pretty sure we’ve been at it before in the comments lol. That’s been my experience seeing them both, myself too tho. I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing to be saying either. Great for consumers who still want some of the best PQ out there, without breaking the bank too bad, and getting involved in first Gen tech with the kinks (granted there is). It just means you can pick up last years model, for a cheaper price, having basically the same TV, and not be taking a huge hit in regards to your FOMO, bc there really is none…unless you look at the G series 😅 Got some myself to work out 😜 It really shows too…imo, how little there really is to improve on the “plain Jane” WRGB without MLA. It’s really been optimized to the best is can be, while staying really reliable. I personally noticed a HUGE improvement in LG’s processing, with the “2” series last year. It truly was finally a match, if not better than Sony’s processing (in some ways) “From my experience”. I’m at least finally confident saying there’s nothing wrong with LG processing, where in the past, I was singing a different tune, bc I just didn’t think my CX was great in the processing game. Mainly when it comes to lower bitrate, highly compressed content. We are really at peak performance of WRGB, without going back and creating another new panel, or something to add to the existing panel, like MLA. I know I personally love my C2, the same way I did, the day I got it, and was expecting underwhelment… I haven’t personally measured any C3’s. But from the measurements I have seen, done by certified calibrators…the C2/C3 are on par with each other, plus or minus 5%. At least that seems to be the consensus. Still around 800 nits peak, and 160ish full field, peak white. Some might not be thrilled by that, but damn does it bring a polished and immersive HDR experience. Never have I felt the C2 was “dim” either. I still go “wow” at my C2 to this day.
Great video. Any chance of a G3 vs Qled in vivid mode? Oleds seem too dim for me and lm curious how the G3 in vivid mode stacks up against a Qled. Thanks.

Perhaps yhe reason why the G3's got a 5 year warranty is because the company is expecting that within that 5 year period, some of the G3's will have panel issues. It's like providing an early solution for an impending problem. MLA is a newly introduced technology, so expect things to go south.
G Series have always had 5yr warranties (G1, G2 and now G3). I think it's the opposite to your suspicion; the only reason LG can offer the 5yr warranty is because they are really confident in the model, that they won't be paying out on many sets.
Hello everyone. There is no loss of contrast or color on the G3. This is 10,000 nit content to illustrate the brightness differences. The G3 is just as rich in color than the C3. Thank you for watching
Is the TV on the right the C or G?
In a store no-one is watching a 10000 nit Spear's and Muncil disk. The Best Buy video didn't really show much difference between the 2. You pointed out in your video what I was seeking at Best Buy. The MLA only reflects just a small amount of lost light. Which the C3 doesn't loose a lot of in normal content.
Is the G3 worth the extra money compared to the C3?
@scottivlow9962 Thanks. I mainly want the G3 for the extra brightness.
Which is beyond crazy in my opinion smh
i just ordered a 65 inch C3 and it's replacing a 15 year old 1080p LCD tv without smart functions. how insane is the upgrade gonna be lmao?

Apple TV+ app on all TVs (not the tabletop ATV box) now natively also shows HDR10+
I’m shocked that more people are not mentioning this. Most on YT only cover the ATV tabletop box. The fact that the regular ATV+ app on all TVs now also supports HDR10+ is a bigger win for Samsung (than having to pay the ATV extra $150)
I bought the new Creed III on ATV+ app and it displayed it in HDR10+
That’s big time IMHO! And my DARK HORSE 2023 award (Not your vote for G3MLA 😂)

C3 is not even close to G3 in the real world.
Impossible to tell from a RUclips video. So many variables before it hits whatever screen you’re watching this on. I believe the main issue with this comparison is the camera’s exposure is set up for the C3’s brightness making it appear more saturated and making the G3 look almost blown out.
the g3 looks so bright it hurts your head
The whites on the G3 really are LED-like. Impressive stuff!
C3 also. on this video most of the scenes give me more wow on the lg c3. sunlight looks brighter on the 77 inch compare to the lg g3 65 inch with mla technique. difficult choices this year. go for the 65 inch g3 or 77 inch c3

Maybe the fact it's not an obvious yes or no is my answer.
i love the C3. it’s flawless enough for me not to require G3 especially for the money

I don't know why, but I like the stronger deeper colors more in the c3 😂 maybe just me…
Just an example in the cactus flower the yellow in g3 is so bright compared to c3 where is deeper yellow or the second picture on the watch movement.on g3 is to pale and too bright compared to c3 ,where I can see a better gold color and richer.
Thanks a lot for this. I am in a dilemma between C3 77” and G3 65”. You helped me big time.
So glad you found the video helpful! Thank you so much for watching
For movie what would you choose(at night watch)
The thing that pushes me away from Samsung would be the image processing not being as good.

The camera recording the footage, real world the brightness is perfect
The camera’s lense exposure appears to be dialed into the C3’s brightness rendering this comparison video useless. You have to go off what the reviewer is saying in this case, not showing.
The G3 seems really blown out in a bad way? Is that just bad calibration?
For the price c3 is the winner in my opinion
G3 has a major advantage over the C3 besides MLA: 5 year panel warranty
Yes, good point. I also love the G3's modern design being less than 1" thick and the built-in no-gap wall mount and the G3's TV's audio is also upgraded.

The C3 hols its own with the higher priced panel. The G3 does look better in most shots but they are still close. Love to see them both in DV and HR10

Thanks.

@jimbodavis1944 how did you decide? 83“ C3 or 77“ G3

The aggressive ABL should be limited on the G3 because of the heat sink, correct? I feel like ABL is a difference maker.
Damn it looks like I can’t resist that G3 over the C3. I just know that brightness will make a huge difference.
Thanks!
I went back and forth - ordered the G3 from robert - figured it will last me awhile and the 5 year warranty is nice
Upgrading from plasma has just seemed difficult.
Plasma is still King in many ways my friend. Oled is definitely the spiritual successor.
Congratulations on your purchase Jason!
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPYWhy did they stop making them ?
Pity both screens are not the same size.Enjoyed this comparison but I can’t see differences as explained.C3 to me was excellent.
Thank you so much for being here
Am I crazy to think the G3 looks overexposed? Like the bright areas are much too bright and they just look white instead of actual color?
Exaclty what I was going to post. When there’s a very bright area, detail seems to be lost/washed out on the G3. The darker scenes however, the detail looks better on the G3. 🤷🏻♂️
Wow we really are spoiled for choice compared to the TVs of yesteryear when you were moving the rabbit ears to get a clear picture. I went with the C3 based on price but I would probably enjoy the pop of the G3. For a bright room I think you would need it.
Brian the G3 wins it for me. Rather have the brighter picture and picture quality.
Thanks for doing this video for us!
mwa, a bit brighter. but look 6:19 in video. the sun looks better to me on the lg c3. more orange also in the clouds from the sun!
Glad you enjoyed it my friend! Thank you for watching
My absolute pleasure! I'm so glad you found the video helpful.
Please help me decide. I'm confused between 55 inch G3 and 65 inch C3 for my bedroom. This confusion totally arises because of the price point. My selling point for the G3 is the flush wall mount only. my viewing distance is 8-11 feet. thank you in advance,
WOLED with 600-700 nits peak are considered mid-end at best and C3 is in this category. QD-OLED and 3rd gen WOLED with MLA is the higher end options.
Thanks Brian for giving mla some deserved love .
My pleasure as always Michael! Thank you for watching!
Lol if u have a C9 can you do a comparison. I wanna see how much the tech has matured. Plus I have the C9 lol
That would be a good comparison. I’m still watching on a C8
How are your tv’s doing guys I have a 77W7 still working well never had any issues until recently started to notice a little bit of burn in along the bottom of the screen only notice it on a red screen when doing a burn in tests
@@justchilling4491 no burn in at alllllll, which I'm surprised. RUclips and online articles on my FIRST oled tv had me worried and stressing thinking that i needed warranty but it's all hype, my c9 runs perfect. Too perfect, I wish it'll break down so I can upgrade lol
@@brokenwrench404 the c8 was nice, why did u pick it over the Sony.
Great video. Guys, I can get C3 65 inch or G3 55 inch, same price. Which one would you choose? Thanks.
As much as I Like the G3 the 10" size difference and immersion if the C3 easily beats the MLA difference. C3 65" no hesitation. Hope this helps
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY thank you so much 🙏 it is decided 🙂
My local Best Buy hasn’t received any G3’s yet
Only at our buddy Robert's ( valueelectronics.com) for now
How about the 83" comparison without MLA? I'm leaning towards C3 instead of G3 at this size.
Can you please compare the G2 vs the C3? It would be helpful to know how close the new C3 is to last year’s G2. 💯
I'll do my best Steve
I was looking at the 42C3 to use in a spare office/bedroom for TV watching and extended laptop monitor. It was going to mounted on a TV articulating arm. The 42" size was sold out or unavailable in the C2 and C3 models. The 42" size prices was very close to the 48" sizes. The biggest price difference was the 48C2 was $600 cheaper than the 48C3. Ended up going for the cheaper 48C2 and added a Sonos Beam soundbar.
Glad you did as the C3 and C2 are virtually the same. The extra apl brightness for the C3 doesn't extend to the 42" and 48".
G3 is the best! C3 for me was the best for me as it was $1000 dollars cheaper!
Thank you for a very thorough demo! I'm seriously considering getting a C3 or G3 65".
The G3 is definitely worth the extra money my friend
This was very important. Seeing the G3 next to the S95C was great but the differences where very minimal. On RUclips you couldn't get a feeling on how great they actually look. Now compared to a standard OLED we get an idea what you were talking about 😎
Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed. They really are so freaking close . It's win win with the G3 VS a S95C.
So if you just watch cable and streaming apps you won't see any difference?
I 'd love an OLED but I use my TV as a monitor so no go. G3>C3 no question.
Maybe for the right price I'd get a C3 and let it burn it in.
Which would you pick now Brian? 77”C3 or 65”G3 ?
c3 77
Still rocking a C1 77" and love it, for me it will be 2024 and the C4, it will be the most considerable upgrade for the C series since it's inception, since good chance is it will ship with MLA.
Nie dostarczyli.
Thank you for a this comparison, this is precisely what I am trying to decide on. May I ask why is a 77" panel naturally brighter than a smaller counter part?
It's really just the fact that a larger screen is pushing more light. It's more immersion and perception.
I hope you doing well Brian, no rush take care buddy and thanks for sharing
Much love Majid!
What’s the demo called on the 2nd half? Is that in RUclips maybe? (Yes I know the quality would be different)
Am I right?
(coming from an oldie 7 year old 55 inch lg led)
@brian how far is your seating distance for the 83 inch c3?
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPYNow I have 65 inches. 77 or 65 inches is not particularly important to me.
@@I_am_IuBS then go for 65 G3, MLA will make a difference in picture quality even against a 77 without MLA
While the G3 is brighter, brighter is not always better. Compared the the C3, it appears that the G3 is hindered by its brightness as a lot of the darker detail colors seems to be washed off the image. Just my opinion.
G4 in 83” with MLA is what I am wishing
You and me both! Thank you for watching
I would go with the C3 55 inch because the G3 doesn't come with a stand. Also the C3 is sooooo goood already. I really enjoyed this comparison Brian.
You don't like big tv's 🤣🙂
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY haha. Brian with what camera did you film the demo. Also I find resolution DPI is higher on smaller screens. Hopefully Apple will release their 4K VR headset with Reality Pro OS. That is complete immersion.

Thanks as always, for bringing the early comparisons brother! Always appreciate these videos, and “first looks”. 💜 These are the things I dream about on a daily 🙃
“C3 has a more efficient panel”….(in terms of Vs the C2)
idk about that one boss 😅 From what I’ve seen too, the C3 looks nearly identical to C2, tho I know you guys gotta push your narrative to sell these things lol.
(At least most of us 😅 who aren’t 🦆’s)
The real difference imo, is really in how the subpixels are being boosted.
It just means you can pick up last years model, for a cheaper price, having basically the same TV, and not be taking a huge hit in regards to your FOMO, bc there really is none…unless you look at the G series 😅 Got some myself to work out 😜
It really shows too…imo, how little there really is to improve on the “plain Jane” WRGB without MLA.
I know I personally love my C2, the same way I did, the day I got it, and was expecting underwhelment…
I haven’t personally measured any C3’s.
Hey Ye Roc you didn't say enough

Perhaps yhe reason why the G3's got a 5 year warranty is because the company is expecting that within that 5 year period, some of the G3's will have panel issues. It's like providing an early solution for an impending problem. MLA is a newly introduced technology, so expect things to go south.
G Series have always had 5yr warranties (G1, G2 and now G3). I think it's the opposite to your suspicion; the only reason LG can offer the 5yr warranty is because they are really confident in the model, that they won't be paying out on many sets.
