If you are a budding Pianist I, being a veteran of more than 40 years in enjoying western classical music although with little knowledge in it technically, take the trouble to certify or undertake, no problem it's irrelevant here, that you will be a great Pianist. This concerto is still a favourite of mine - from the day when I listened to it for the first time many years ago! Thanks and best wishes. I have enjoyed your rendition.
My first impressions as far as a comparison...I prefer your version of the second movement, it's more gentle and gorgeous...but for the first time ever, I might prefer another player as far as the third movement goes, yours has more innocent frivolity in it, Pnina's has more triumphant cockiness...I personally relate to the latter more. But it's a close call, nevertheless. Also, the sound levels might play a role. Even though hers had the static and other distortions, her piano was foregrounded more, whereas your colleagues competed with the piano more, even though it was just a quartet versus an entire orchestra for her.
Not intending to promote this particular album, I consider this recording ruclips.net/video/5BLU-CaKIt8/видео.html by Deutsche Grammophon the most beautifully balanced between the piano and the accompaniment.
If the strings were leveled up with the piano, the dialogue 5:30 and the likes would've been so beautiful. For music production, the weights between solo instrument and ensemble/orchestra may be a matter of taste or preference. Personally, I like it be more balanced, particularly in chamber music settings, which is more intimate and never nearly as intimidating as fighting with orchestras. If you think my comments are too much or out of line, please feel free to delete them all (including those for Amadeus Piano Quartet).
