I was left wanting more too. It felt like the movie was being quite fresh and original with it's fairly basic premise, and I was anticipating there being some sort of clever turn at the end… where maybe the villain had a more interesting plan or something. But no, it stayed small.

So true! The film really did seem to make a number of "promises" that it didn't quite deliver on... le sigh.

Speaking of Netflix movies, have you watched "The Old Guard"? There are fewer action scenes than one would imagine, but the story is very satisfying and I feel like it is an example of a great concept that was executed very well. Also great review, as always.
