When Matt Damon was interviewed here in Australia they asked him if people came up to him and said, "MATT DAMON!!!". He said, "Every day. All the time"... 🤣
This was by far the best reaction to Team America I've ever seen. I was taken straight back to watching this in the theatre when it first came out. Amazing.
Man, I saw this in the theater with a group of people including my wife. At one point I looked over and saw my wife bleeding from her mouth and I thought that I might have somehow punched her in the face because I was laughing so hard. Turned out she bit her own lip really hard during the convulsing... It was absolutely the hardest I've ever laughed, and the longest. There's no other comedy that is as funny as this is straight through the entire film!
The creators Trey and Matt had no problem with Matt Damon, however when the puppet was made it came out a bit off and Trey & Matt found it funny. They then made Matt Damon stupid in the movie to reflect how the puppet looked.
This is probably the single most joyful reaction video I've ever seen. Seriously it just makes me happy to see these two having so much fun watching this together. I've watched pretty much all of Ash's reaction videos, this one is IT for me.

This is one of the best comedies ever! The opening scene with the marionettes then panning out to the marionettes is one of the most comically genius moments in movie history.
You can probably see the deleted scenes online if you don't have the disc. The stuff they had to cut for going too far is bonkers. That puppet sex scene was basically cut in half, and all the scat-play got cut :(
Fun fact about the movie! Trey and Matt wrote a full script with lots of jokes for this movie. Then when they got the puppets and started filming they ended up scrapping most of it and completely writing a new script on the fly. Apparently proper jokes coming from the puppets just wasn’t as funny because the puppets themselves already kinda take the piss out of it so jokes didn’t land as hard and so they took the script in another direction comedy wise
About a year ago we had these four young flooring installers on the building we were putting up. There were these Sikh drywallers working two floor up from them who were playing their music pretty loud, didn't speak much English and were pretty standoffish to the other work crews. Anyway, one of the flooring installers was tossing shade at them among the others by calling them the Durka Durkas. I didn't want to get involved, but hearing that as I passed by, I couldn't help but let out a "Maaaatt Daaamon~" which immediately had three of the floor laughing their asses off. The fourth one had apparently never seen the movie and had no idea what was going on. So the other three started explaining the movie and all the funny scenes and were giggling like crazy just recalling it. So every time I'd walk by, I'd throw out a "The resemblance is uncanny!" or start singing AIDS and it would just absolutely slay the three who'd seen it and they would immediately start explaining the scene to their friend. They actually got in shit and had to stay late because they didn't get all the hardwood down on time. I had a great time though.
It was SO much fun watching the two of you lose your minds over this. Great reaction guys. Probably the best I’ve ever seen to this film. So entertaining.

The minute this movie came out on DVD, I had it in my hot, sweaty, skin-flaky hands. Watching the making of this movie on the DVD really was so fucking awesome. So many people got onboard with this project. I thank Gerry & Sylvia Anderson for their contribution to this genre. Without their creativity, I'm not sure that Trey & Matt could have, or would have, brought this to the silver screen.
Matt and Trey are so brave for using puppets for this movie. They pulled them strings off perfectly. I honestly respect them to the highest degree for their artistic comedic bravery. They started with musicals. Cannibal! The Musical is for SURE worth a watch. Their beginnings.
LOVE watching you guys watch this and fully enjoy it in exactly the spirit in which it was intended. Parker and Stone are geniuses and they know 1) we all need to be able to laugh at ourselves and 2) we all need to be able to laugh at the ridiculous stereotypes that a small-minded few who actually believe in. THAT is how we come together, by laughing together. America's new pastime has become getting self-righteously offended on behalf of anyone and everyone else, and nothing needs to be made fun of more than that.
One of my favorite movies of all time. I drug three of my friends to the theatre to see this, and of course, the Arabic one loved it the most, while the two other white guys were sitting there saying "what did we just watch?". And this was in 2004, just a few years after 9-11, and me and Kabban are laughing our asses off for years from it. I'll bet if I sent him a text tonight with one of the quotes, he'd start laughing and we'd go back and forth about this movie. I mean, we'd go to his parents and uncle's and say shit like "happa shirpa shirpa, muhammed jihad", "ahh, dirka dirka" and his family members would look at us like we were fucking insane as we laughed our asses off.
“Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you.” Is the best song of the movie. This movie is a masterpiece but drove Trey and Matt to bear insanity. To where they said they’ll never do puppets again. Please tell me ash has seen South Park ?!
@@Gaia369 I often feel there's never any point to SP. It's like Jordan Peterson. Everyone loves it without being able to say exactly why. JP gives stupid, senseless, yet comforting "advice." "Social problems exist. Just make sure _YOU_ don't have a victim's mentality though." Dayum; If only the people held at Guantanamo Bay could hear JP telling them that. SP does something else: they point out how everyone has a set POV & that while the main character SP Four may learn & grow, the townsfolk never do. They retain their beliefs no matter what, but in a way that _should_ show us what's wrong with that. But people *won't* accept this. It's kind of like The Irony of their efforts. I don't even think Parker & Stone realize it. It's like what I said about Guantanamo Bay; People don't want _facts,_ they have a *need to **_believe the lies_* being told about the necessity of it. As with lobbying, protecting their cronies & everything else we know is wrong about what we do. There's just so much we have to lie to ourselves about to justify _any_ of it that everyone has just decided to accept ALL of it. So, watching a show exposing this at least in part makes everyone too uncomfortable to discuss it. I've seen many analyses of the show. They _never_ address the real world contexts that frame it.
@@Gaia369 I _feel_ as if you missed my points & ended up proving what I was saying about why South Park's efforts go nowhere. You told me what you don't think or like, how it did or didn't fit your POV, then said 'good luck' as if dismissing the discussion _because_ it didn't fit. Even saying that you choose not to look but to laugh _instead_ is a POV. You can look deeply _and_ laugh. What SP points out well is that people stick to their preconceived notions No Matter What in real life. Early in the series, that's what the townspeople were, as the sort of SP 'chorus' willing to sacrifice themselves for their views. But never willing to _question_ their own views. Amazing how, in fiction, this is always the sign of a villain or one who aids the villain. Whenever a person tries to shrug off the problem, say it's not their responsibility & leave a victim to their fate, everyone immediately knows that that isn't A Hero. But in real life? People think anything else is "too deep."

This is what America and freedom is about , Trey and Matt took on everyone in this movie. They make fun of every aspect of America .
I saw this in theaters with my friends, one who was Pakistani and got a lot of crap after 9/11, and he laughed so hard he lost is voice. 🤣🤣🤣
It warms my heart to hear stories like yours. To see this Iranian immigrant laugh his head off in the video restores some faith in humanity
Ya I'm sure it was good to see how bad the dumb stereotypes play out.
I saw this in theaters when it first came out, and it was the wildest fucking cinema experience of my life. It was a full on party in there. People getting drunk and cheering and laughing
This is one of the best comedies ever! The opening scene with the marionettes then panning out to the marionettes is one of the most comically genius moments in movie history.
I laugh to the brink of death every time Gary delivers his 'blueberries' line.
I always wondered what it would be like to watch this film with a middle eastern fella with a good sense of humor...
Thanks guys!
You can probably see the deleted scenes online if you don't have the disc. The stuff they had to cut for going too far is bonkers. That puppet sex scene was basically cut in half, and all the scat-play got cut :(
11:25 Man, that laugh did not disappoint! Ash clutching at his sides at 11:47 was so good!
You guys laughter is genuinely PRICELESS....
Dude! Your whole vibe is contagious as hell! Subscribed!
Hands down the funniest review I have ever watched. Now I want to watch this with my buddies again.
"He Died of A-Yay-Aids.." that's so funny 🤣
The thing I love about this movie is it isn't a puppet movie. It's an action film that just happens to have puppets as actors.
never seen ash laugh so hard in any of the other reactions...i was dying laughing along with him
A single movie never gave me so many belly laughs 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This reaction was brilliant havent laughed so much in ages so guys thank you 🙏🏼 guns n goats 😂😂😂😂

Best part of the movie and an awesome reaction. :D
Susan Sarandon is an amazing actress who has performed in countless projects over the decades, including playing the main character of Janet in the original movie version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show alongside Tim Curry. An American treasure.
Also in Thelma and Louise, I think one of her best roles.

Also the good _The Client,_ the very good _Atlantic City,_ and the great _Bull Durham._
She's also in two of my favorite lesser-known movies:
_Lorenzo's Oil_ and the awesome _Igby Goes Down._
Matt and Trey also got an oscar nomination for their song "Blame Canada" in South Park's feature film.
He'll take that position right now... if you promise you'll never die!
I got the uncensored version.
Matt and Trey are so brave for using puppets for this movie. They pulled them strings off perfectly. I honestly respect them to the highest degree for their artistic comedic bravery. They started with musicals. Cannibal! The Musical is for SURE worth a watch. Their beginnings.
THIS MOVIE IS SUCH A GREAT MASTERPIECE!
😂😂😂😂😂
Great reaction boys
Seeing "middle eastern guys" watch this movie is such a unique take, I'm only 7 min in and I'm laughing my arss off 😂
LOVE watching you guys watch this and fully enjoy it in exactly the spirit in which it was intended.
Oh man, him puking in the alley gets me everytime. I was crying in the theater when this first came out I was laughing so hard... Great reaction!
I mean, we'd go to his parents and uncle's and say shit like "happa shirpa shirpa, muhammed jihad", "ahh, dirka dirka" and his family members would look at us like we were fucking insane as we laughed our asses off.
thats tooo funny trolling your own relatives with a made up language.
oh man that is too funny. Pranking your inlaws with pure gibberish.
@@Gaia369 WITH _WHAT?_ & why are you SHOUTING?
This might be the greatest reaction video on RUclips 😂 The house of Ash-iatus never disappoints!
The most accurate... reconfiguration of his face 😂
I love this movie. It's ridiculous, stupid, sarcastic and over the top in all the best ways.
Now you HAVE to watch Idiocracy.
This is probably the single funniest reaction video ive seen on youtube. Ive watched 50 times to get a laugh. Do more together, please.
Genuinely, thank you so much mate ❤️
Great work fellas, really enjoyed the reaction and laughs... love watching this movie whenever I feel down... always perks me up. Keep up the good work 👏
This movie feels like the punchline of that Dave Chappelle joke about experiencing something so racist that you didn't even get mad
