It would kind of be impossible. It would have to be a Museum Replica (Non-Functional/Functional), Holodeck Program, Temporal Anomaly, or a flashback from one of the crew. As the Enterprise-D was destroyed, and whatever was salvaged from it was added to the Enterprise-E.
@@AdamBeaudryMasterProton No apparently that is a novel point, the canon stuff never said that. All we know so far is that the saucer was recovered and that it is in the starfleet museum... which is run by Geordi... I'm hyped at the possibilities.

Yep. They've been hinting at it, and this season is a love letter to TNG fans. They know what we want, and as fan-servicy as it would be, I don't give a f. I want to see the D kicking some ass one last time.
If the enterprise d was restored it would be cool if Picard stole it like Kirk did with the enterprise in the search for Spock. I know people like to contrast Picard and Kirk but I see them as very similar, both are diplomatic and ready to fight when needed, share the same ideals and Kirk probably influenced Picard to delay getting promoted because when a legend tells you something you listen.
That could be cool. Perhaps a star-drive section for another ship has been completed. Then Picard and company have Geordi and his team attach a recently refurbished saucer section of the Enterprise-D to that for a final mission. Wow, did I just fan boy that idea or what.

It would be the first time we see the letters go backwards. It is possible out of all the ships to get a new life. There is little to no reason they couldn't give it a new star drive section. I just figured they left the saucer section on the planet. This poses no reason they can't bring the D back to life. Yes, it was damaged, but if made for a museum. They likely would have fixed it up.
Yeah definitely and i thin k it will be put to uyse because if as the next episode Picard says its mucch much worse than we ever thought there could very well be a huge fleet battle in shich they would need all the ships they can muster so yeah definitely in agreement and i think it will be the Galaxy X class from All Good Things.
I thought Captain Shaw was being needlessly cruel when he accused Picard and Riker of “hot dropping” the saucer section of the Enterprise D on Veridian III. Picard wasn’t on the ship, he was on the planet trying to dissuade a madman from carrying out his horrific plan. Riker was engaged in a firefight with a pair of ambitious Klingon sisters who had found a way to penetrate the Enterprise’s shields, giving Number One limited options for how to prevail in combat against them. At least the saucer could detach from the star drive. If the Titan’s warp core ever breaches and the core can’t be ejected, everyone on the ship will die unless they can utilize all of the escape pods in time. Warp core breaches usually occur with very little advance warning. I think Riker made all the right moves considering how the Klingon Bird of Prey had the Enterprise dead to rights. Shaw hasn’t saved the day yet, unless it counts that he temporarily transferred command of the ship over to Riker. I know Shaw has had a lot to overcome, but he sure likes to put his foot in his mouth a lot.
All i will say is watch the d fighting the borg.... All weapons rapid fire i believe was the command from riker.... Thats all he needed to say to worf and the d would have survived and ths bird of prey would have been dust...... Also did riker forget that the ent e had quantum torpedos in star trek insurrection..... Again could have quite easily obliterated the sona ships rather than the stupid move with the gas and igniting it and the 1980s joystick to do a simple left turn
I totally think it would make sense if it shows up as the enterprise-DX just like we got a taste of in all good things and the timeline makes sense that we could see it now. It also makes sense why some of those upgrades would be done given the Veridian III crash landing. The Titan needs some help with things badly now it's out of its league with the Shrike, but the DX would be more than a match for it saving its former crew just I'm time. Now that would be awesome. Come on Geordi, please make our dreams come true.
Humpty Dumpty - There is no way that the saucer section would be structurally sound after crash landing. As a romantic notion, it's nice, but it makes no sense. At this point, they'd destroy the legacy saucer section, but would have to replace so much of it that it would effectively be a brand new saucer section. Not to mention, it's 40 years old. Starship design should move forward, not keep looking backward. That's what made the USS Voyager and, subsequently the Sovereign Class so exciting. They were clearly evolutions of the much loved saucer+star drive design that goes back to the Constitution class. You can clearly see the evolution from Connie > Excelsion > Ambassador > Galaxy > Sovereign.
The issue with this is its already established Alpha Cannon that Riker returned to Veridian 3 to raise the saucer section but had to abandon the plan and destroy the saucer section due to the Romulans..its a good book/story
If does return, it puts a full circle of the final episode, All Good Things..." We know many newly built Galaxy Class ships were refitted to heavy dreadnaughts and they are still in service. Admiral Riker stated that they tried to decommension her about 5 years ago. HInt hint. Was he onboard to rebuilt Galaxy class Enterprise 1701-D.2? or is it 1701-PG (Picard's Good ship)?
How can they bring back the Enterprise D when it was destroyed? Maybe they mean another Galaxy class? Wasn't the Enterprise E the last ship they crewed? NCC1701-e
Charles Davis yes and that they called it the fat one an Picard I did tolerated as the next gen show was going back an the day but the e was more stream lined an a littel better looking better then that Titian class that’s for sure lol
@@charlesalmada4486 Is it me or is the Titan refit butt ugly? The original Titan was way better looking. Although we never saw it on screen, there are a ton of pictures on the Internet.
I have to say and can’t wait to see it the enterprise D back and you’re right there’s a lot of hits going off on the show and don’t know if anybody noticed the big one of all when Geordie La Forge daughter hinted saying dad what about hanger bay 12 why would she suggest that that tells me that there’s something there that Picard may need An old friend I believe that’s where the enterprise D is at stored.
I completely agree with other they already confirmed the saucer was saved and brought to the fleet museum. I think" it will be refitted with a new hull and yes 3 warp nacelles thus bringing in the Galaxy X particularly (like in all good things, note also brought out of mothballs and refit in that alt future)the enterprise tho will be renamed into the Enterprise G. As we know the enterprise F is going to retire. Another few hints, how often was it mentioned that riker is a captain without a ship? Yah.. but in the alternate future he was of the Galaxy X wasn't he and the timeframes match very closely. I believe he will get to finally command ( and get that chair) that beloved ship, abet a revised enterprise D. Thus coming full circle. Not to mention Geordy working on it is on the mark as it was his prize ship like Scotty and his version. Also it could" lead into the next series ( new, next generation) captaind by riker and a new young legacy crew. When it comes down to it.. the star of tng was the enterprise D and they know its crappy death was a cop out for its time but technology is well in favor to have it again and thus doing honor to it and it's legacy and having it comeback from the dead with a true to heart refit ,maybe even with the "bountys" cloak later huh (particularly if its close to the galaxy x) and giving riker the seat Finally would really just be the tear jerking right way to conclude this chapter hopefully to lead into a new era as that madian ship has done before.
This theory is totally plausible. I remember hearing that line, “the fat one,” and it seemed a bit like clunky dialogue. The logistics of finding a drive section and plausibly marrying the two and finishing off the show with the enterprise sounds difficult to sell. I hope they pay off that dialogue by launching the “D” again. I’m gonna have to subscribe to your channel. You really sold this theory.
I think it’s likely we’ll see the fleet museum as it’s been hinted at with Laforge and the closing credits. Will we see the D fly again? I doubt it. Anyway, I think I’d rather know more about the E!
The E was a decent ship but she's not the original, and the all good things upgrade is due in the in world timeframe. That's the only Enterprise which would appease me.
It's definitely possible and very easy for the federation to recover & restore the enterprise d. The saucer section was controlled durring decent. And simply slid across the terrain to a stop. It wasn't torn to shreads. Besides there's such things as replicator's in star trek that literally build parts from matter and energy. And damaged structural components can simply be replicated and replaced. LaForge is one of those famed Starfleet engineers that can turn rocks into replicators...😂
Oh and it will be in pristine, service ready condition. You think Geordi would just let it sit and not have it tuned? It will have a spare Star drive section attached as it IS on display.
The bridge at most will appear when they return to earth - which seems to be happening next episode (5). It won't be rebuilt, no chance of that happening. The show would jump the shark if they wrote that.
I’d love to see the Enterprise-D saucer recovered for the museum. There’s soooooo many possibilities with the museum. I have even seen hints at the Enterprise-A.
The saucer section of the Enterprise-D was deemed unsalvageable, and was almost certainly chopped up for easier removal. Recycled components of that ship probably made their way into several ships, including the Enterprise-E.
@@valenrn8657 Check the TNG Tech Manual. A saucer landing is supposed to include use of the deflectors and tractor beams to ensure a soft landing, none of which were in use in this case. She landed hard, incurring major structural damage in the process. That hull was coming off the surface in pieces, best case to be recycled into the Enterprise-E.
Man I hope so. The Titan might be the current hero ship but she really needs help especially with the Shrike, and the All Good Things DX is just the ship that can save their bacon.
@@vaporwave4880 Well, hopefully they will make an exception and remove the 3rd nacelle or add something "similar" which looks great, as I agree that's not the best look. Either way, I'd be ok with it if it meant we get the Ent-D on screen for one last time. It would totally make sense she'd have to be in her Galaxy-X form too, perhaps she could even be the new Enterprise-G!
Should have returned with Enterprise-E and make Luna just like it was supposed to, not as TOS callback. E exists, D was destroyed .... now nothing matters anymore.
It would make no sense for Starfleet to reconstruct the secondary hull of an obsolete design and place a wrecked, once heavily-damaged saucer section on it. Their resources would be much better spent building current-class ships. I know fan service is largely what the show Picard is all about, but that still doesn't sound like something Starfleet would do.
The Galaxy-class star drive section platform is still good and has evolved into Ross class. Ross class first appeared in Star Trek Online as one of many evolved Galaxy class variants and it was made primary canon starship design in Picard. Galaxy-class platform can scale to Galaxy X Dreadnought i.e. the performance is dependent on the installed equipment e.g. Venture sub-class Klingon fleet crusher vs explorer-fitted Galaxy class.

What's in hangar 12
Well, the enterprise F is mentioned that is being retired early. If it did make a comeback, what would be its designation?
well known fact the galaxy class was designed for a 100 year lifespan with regular space docking and component up grades.
I was just doing some research and there is a Galaxy Refit Class re: end credits NCC 52106 blurred at around space dock.
There is an updated Galaxy Refit design with a Sovereign type dish out there, plop the saucer on that.
It's the Ross class from Star Trek Online and it made prime canon in Picard.
I want to see the restored ship in the museum, and I want the old crew to steal her in order to save the day!
I yould love to see Big Daddy LaForge show up in a festooned museum piece and save the day.
The issue with this is its already established Alpha Cannon that Riker returned to Veridian 3 to raise the saucer section but had to abandon the plan and destroy the saucer section due to the Romulans..its a good book/story
No, that's beta canon. It's been overwritten by Picard season 2 which establishes that the saucer still exists.
@@paulwhite6745 So more retcons
@necropath4383 At best we can think of them as happening in an alternate timeline, but they have no bearing on prime timeline canon.
Star Trek books are generally not considered canon. Only what appears on screen is.
@@olympicnut the book was considered cannon untill it convenient to disregard it as Canon aka toxic kurtzman trek
NCC1701-e
Seems that the e wasn’t that popular even tho i liked it
@@charlesalmada4486 Me too. I never liked that Enterprise D with that big saucer.
@@charlesdavis545 yeah that titan is a bit crappy
Better get something like this, at this stage seems a bit unlikely but I'd like to see her for a last time, anyway they still have that CGI model.
Shaw mentions they “hot dropped” the D’S saucer section when he was listing all of their failures….
Wow, good point. Yet another valid reference.
I hope so. I miss it. I’d love to see a refit.
If they are gonna bring back a classic Starship.....bring back the 'A'
I’d love to see the Enterprise-D saucer recovered for the museum. There’s soooooo many possibilities with the museum. I have even seen hints at the Enterprise-A.
Ughhhh man I hope this happens!!! But if we don’t see the enterprise d I would even take seeing another galaxy class starship…
I wander if the major refit in 2371 was with a new Star Drive section. :)
Makes sense when you consider the Moriarty connection hmmm
The saucer section of the Enterprise-D was deemed unsalvageable, and was almost certainly chopped up for easier removal. Recycled components of that ship probably made their way into several ships, including the Enterprise-E.
Another Galaxy class can use a tractor beam to extract the E-D saucer section from a planet.
@@valenrn8657 And probably incur even more structural damage on the way up.
@@CaptRobertApril Unproven
@@valenrn8657 Check the TNG Tech Manual. A saucer landing is supposed to include use of the deflectors and tractor beams to ensure a soft landing, none of which were in use in this case. She landed hard, incurring major structural damage in the process. That hull was coming off the surface in pieces, best case to be recycled into the Enterprise-E.
@@CaptRobertApril TNG Tech Manual is not considered to be alpha canon.
Oh the s word that Lieutenant Commander Data said when he crashed that ship.
what if we get the all good things version of the ent D built out of a spare stardrive and rebuilt saucer????
Nice theory. Could the enterprise be reintroduced as the Ross Class Starship..?? 🤞🤞
D was my favorite ship in Star Trek.
Chances of a 'All Good Things...' triple-nacelle Enterprise-D making an appearance towards the end of the series?
Man I hope so. The Titan might be the current hero ship but she really needs help especially with the Shrike, and the All Good Things DX is just the ship that can save their bacon.
God I hope not. That thing was ugly. No Starship should ever have three nacelles.
I'm about to lose my shit if the D shows up! 😂😂😂
Hope not. Totally ruined the design aesthetic.
Your theory made me stand up quicker than warp 9.5.
That ship was destroyed. The saucer section is in pieces on Veridian 3
I want that triple nacelle version seen in the mirror universe episode, the ISS Enterprise-D. :)
... Don't do that.. Don't give me hope. If it does, I will absolutely lose my shit.
USS Syracuse's Galaxy class star drive section was recycled for the Enterprise-D saucer section.
No. The D was destroyed. But a Galaxy class? Sure. With Geordi as captain? I'd put money on that, and it being how they escape the nebula.
The saucer section landing: successful, yes...landing, not exactly.
