Lyrics
Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you
So baby talk to me
Like lovers do
Walk with me
Like lovers do
Talk to me
Like lovers do
Here comes the rain again
Raining in my head like a tragedy
Tearing me apart like a new emotion
Oooooh
I want to breathe in the open wind
I want to kiss like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you
So baby talk to me
Like lovers do
Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
(Here it comes again, here it comes again)
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you - Видеоклипы
I'm 56. Two days ago was my birthday. This song is one of favourite. " Here comes the rain again...Oh my God, what a beautiful times, dreams. I love Annie Lennox
Sweet.dreams R made of this 🎉😅
Happy. Birthday!
No doubt.
Happy Birthday! Wishing you many more.
Happy Cakeday! Just turned 56 myself couple weeks ago. Definitely an epic music era.
When you haven’t heard it in years
it just hits different.
Talked to her shortly years ago when i was working in a London 's retail store..a real diamond, her voice is immortal.❤
Hasn't lost it's magic & never will. Creating something like this song and releasing it into the world is to become immortal.
Ageless. Thank you, Eurythmics.
I'll be 59 in a few days time but I still feel the same now as back in 1983, (wow 41 years ago!! ) , a classic track
Snakes in the room.
Also 59 , also one of my faves❤️
Wow 80s were 40 years ago? Wtf.
I am 52 years old and I would love to find a magic door way back to the 80s and 90s very special music with memories and meaning Douglas hart Missouri
Prefer super 70s best Ever 80s 3rd best Ever and 90s second best Ever 😅😂🎉🎉❤😊
I was walking home this morning, and as soon as I saw the lightning coming this song just popped into my head. I doubt I've heard it since the early 90s, listening to the radio as I sat reading in my room.
Sudden massive hit of nostalgia.
That synthesizing is amazing
The way Annie Lennox pronounces “emotion” is everything
The 80s weren’t just a decade, they were a magical realm
Eu tenho 63...Dancei muito essas músicas...
It was pretty rad
The era arises frequently.. in all media. Timeless.
Seriously
Sheet yaa maaaaaan
I love the 80 music 🎶🎶
Me too 🙋🏻♀️🇯🇵
I hope kids today know about the brilliance of Eurythmics...
they do
And if they don't oh well.
i grew up with the sweet dreams album at 6 years old in 1990 ^^

I'm lucky to have been a teenager through that decade.

This forty year old song/video was nothing short of a classic. This British pop duo really unleashed memorable songs which will never dissipate over time.
Respectfully, they’re a British pop duo. Annie Lennox is Scottish and Dave Stewart is English. I’m happy you appreciate them.
🙏
@@Eyeballsandwich I stand corrected! I will correct it now!
All good. I didn’t want to sound snarky in any way, but thought you would prefer to know the truth.
🙏
@@Eyeballsandwich Thanks for pointing that out!
Annie is indeed marvelous, but it needs to be said; the blending of classical and electronic, arpeggio's in high frequencies mirrored in the bassline in the intro, how the weaving of different melodies come together... Dave is a genius.
Dave is a seriously good producer
Annie is the classically trained musician. She played all the complicated bits!
I completely agree. True musician. Genius is defo the word.
yea man not that she isnt a great vocalist but why are you the only top comment specifically mentioning the instrumental production on this song!!! its so fun!!
And they made amazing videos too. Remember, this was the 80s, the video age.
WOW, THIS brings me memories of my late wife ADY, during her pregnancy time, it was so sweet, so happy time for both of us, she once told me : "you know, dax (as she called me) last night i dreamt about a beach with a lot of rocks on it, i mean, not a beach for playing, like the ones of zihuatanejo (a place she loved),but a beach for looking at the night sky... you and me, watching the shooting stars, the comets flying out among a bunch of colors in that nigth sky of my dreams... it looked to me like the beach of that vid of "here comes the rain again"... and in that same place, i gave birth to our babies and it was YOU the one who recieved them... a couple of redheads like my grandmother... wow, what a wonderful dream honey...." well , three months later, she gave birth to my two babies, LEONARD and ROSS, BOTH OF THEM redheads like she saw at that dream... EVERY TIME i watch this video, i remeber that dream of hers, i bless every minute we spent together, all of us, happy and full of life... great times were those... thanks for the memories, man...
✌
Hopefully one of you is a redhead lol!
+EKO EKO AZARAK What a beutiful memory!
+ArcticDreamers Rapture you seem like a beautiful person she seemed lucky and you as well for having that time together
+EKO EKO AZARAK What a lucky person you were to have spend your life with her. And what a wonderful person you seem to be, so thankful and full of love to appreciate her and those beloved memories.
Just the best wishes to you, Leonard and Ross.
How lucky they must feel, to be honored with loving parents like you two.
Annie Lennox can only be described as ethereal. Nostalgia is one thing but this song and others of hers genuinely make you feel things. That doesn’t happen often today.
Well said, well said. I find there are many groups from the 80's (BEST *****NG DECADE IN MUSIC HISTORY), that are exactly as you described. Nostalgic, but yet new. Today's music (not too sure we can call it that) is very empty in many ways. Not completely devoid, but close.
Annie Lennox can not and will not be described. Like describing the north star.

It just started raining here, and my wife immediately started singing this song. I would do anything to go back to the 80s, knowing what I know now and try my life all over again.
Youth is wasted on the young.
Congrats to Annie and Dave on being part of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2022! So very well deserved.
Rock and Roll Hall of fame is a joke. They still deserve the credit, though 💪🏼

This song stirs something deep in the soul..
Her voice transcends time....Ageless....
Beautiful
It's beautiful and haunting
The fallen angels access the Jinn for their talents.
Couldnt express it any better.Bravo.
It's kind of haunting and it satisfying song at the same time
Can truly say my generation witnessed the best music of all time
I remember that image of her carrying a candle in the dark singing this song.
Her voice soothes as it also sends shivers down your back.
How many vocalists can you say do that to you ?
Annie's one in a billion.
No other like her.
❤
That vision of her holding the lantern is a classic timeless iconic pose that will be forever engrained in my memory.
Truth ! Her voice. ❤
I also have that same image of her in my mind when I think of this song! So haunting and beautiful.
This woman has an amazing voice. Lennox is one of the greatest female singers ever.
Absolutely correct
Each time i listen to this song i just go down memory lane?
100%. And she doesn’t get ANY respect🤷♂️🤷♂️. Yet Taylor Swift is in every paper. Pleeeaaase!!!! Ridiculous!!
her voice is very distinctive, that's what's more special about it, but I wouldn't put her up in the top 20 best female singers.
Totally agree with you on that one
Annie Lennox is a once-in-a-generation voice
Yes
In Oklahoma today is April 1 2024. We are under a Tornado watch. It just started raining and this song came to my mind.
May 13, 2024 and that's exactly why I pulled this up 😂
Annie Lennox will always be a legend. Her 2024 Emmy award performance was unmatchable by any female performer!
I used to work for a tour promoter here in Australia some years ago and had a brief chat with Sting during one of his tours. As he was about to leave the venue (after sound check) I asked him if there was a song out there that every time he heard it, it made him wish that he had written it. Without hesitation he said "Well yes there is, Here Comes The Rain Again."
bustergoldenrod I dont blame him but he wrote a million great ones
Who ever truly built these sounds fro bottom up is a genius wonderful sounds but lyrics are just has wonderful

What a time to be alive the 80s it and the 70s the best era of music ever. Way way better than todays garbage.
I was 11 years old when this song came out. Im 48 now. These 80s music videos remind me of when i was young. Life was so innocent and beautiful. I remember all the people in my life. I miss those days so much i can just cry watching these videos cause it feels like yesterday.
Life gives & takes. We laugh & cry. Think of all the good times with departed, loved ones & celebrate the fact that you knew such wonderful people. It helps me, at 63 yo, to think of good memories & listen to good music when I feel regret/sorrow at those who have gone before me. Please be safe in these weird times.
I was same age .also 11 when this track was out.i recently sitting in my backyard taking advantage of the sun and having a chilled beer.thought i listen to some 80's music .what a song and half.takes you back to happy times.annie sings pefectly any song.gotta be my favourite 80"s track of that time.
Well, Brenda, I’m 22 and you’re words have brought me to tears. Life is beautiful.
This was a hit when my grandma dies......so much memory i was 12 then, some people who were with us to condole us have been gone too as i grew...
Now i lost my father it shattered me but. I felt God's comfort that he wraps upon me.
I let go of all off it now im free from lonesome cold feeling for i felt much. Hope in his promise

I still believe that Annie Lennox is the most beautiful woman that ever walked the earth. Period. She is perfect in every way.
Some people are just born with the talent to make good music. Sounds as good as 30 years ago. Love fr Malaysia.
Annie Lennox is the female David Bowie in terms of her magnetic charisma, sheer talent for songwriting and her unmistakeable and inimitable voice and of course her androgyny.
One of the most significant artists to have ever come out of this country!
Chris (UK).
Best comment.
Couldn't have said it better myself 👏
Yeah, She IS... Niiiiiice
Agreed. I know their voices and song writing is most important, but for me both Bowie and Lennox have eyes that put me in a trance. A good trance!
***** Absolutely! In the history of recorded music, there have only been three artists that have truly inspired other great artists - Bob Dylan, The Beatles and David Bowie!
For sure there have been iconic and groundbreaking superstar artists such as Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Elvis Presley, Tina Turner, Madonna and Freddie Mercury to name a very few, but when you are talking about artists that are so instrumental (no pun intended) and crucial in the fact that other artists held them up as their reason for making music themselves, only the above three have been and remain so influential, iconic, inimitable and artists in the very sense of the word and are held in such high regard the world over.
Chris (UK).
Annie's voice will forever be powerful and expressive.
This is definitely one of the best 80's driving songs in my opinion and it's also one of the best 80's songs in general. Listening to this song while driving on a rainy day or night is so perfect especially in a car with a good sound system.
It is not worth buying a car without good sound ;)

This song is so mystical. I really can't explain it. It takes me to another place. Annie Lennox is transcendent.
This song is timeless and her voice is amazing.
As wonderfully unique as Annie's voice is spare a thought for Dave Stewart who knew it so well that his writing and production never did any less than enhance it. For example listen closely to the hook in the song. ' Talk to me...walk with me..' Sheer brilliance.
No auto tune or the voice mods that exist today. What an incredible voice and lady. So beautiful. This album is timeless.
I was born after the 80s, but honestly some of the most wonderful music I've heard was from that time.
Love Annie, her voice is spectacular ❤

+roguenation Agreed. He's a helluva good producer & musician. I really like the work he did with Tom Petty as well.

I am starting to fall in love with Eurythmics. Very beautiful song and video. I think it has philosophical point, because when to our life comes trouble, we want serenity, security and helpful hand of loved human.
That voice. What a class act she is!
Listening to this while it's storming outside. Seemed fitting, lol. Still listening in 2024 as well.
Annie Lennox harmonizing to Annie Lennox - so, so, so decadent. And the taste on Dave Stewart's beat making and string arrangement is just caviar. And the video art. Superb. She is stalked by a peeping ghost that is videotaping her from another dimension, but she believes is a phantom lover. And they ran with it. There she is, at the peak, in the early hours of the morning, with the icy wind, and the nighttie, and the lamp, and yeap, that's Dave with the wet feet, in the wet boots, with the wet pants. Nobody does stuff like that anymore. It's so awesome that they did. 🎶 Like lovers do..🎶 so good...
Forget about everything - the video images, the synths, the rhythm track, and even the words - and just listen to the nuances of Lennox's voice. That is virtuosity that deserves every bit of success that she earned and more.

I agree. From I’ve heard from interviews that Annie’s done, she talks about this song more than any of the others. So I think she considers this song her magnum opus. This song came about after an argument Annie and David had when she looked out the window seeing a storm coming Annie made the remark, “Here comes the rain again.” During the shooting for the music video Annie got pneumonia from walking through that stream of water in winter and while talking to a (cinematographer or photographer? Can’t remember which) the man said to David who had gotten to close to one of the many candles they had used to light the cottage with, “your coats on fire.” David patted out the flames in time before to much damage to his coat was done.
