Thank you for taking the time to actually go through your process instead of quickly running through things! Super helpful and helps me understand the tools a lot more.
You don't know how much this is appreciated as someone very eager to get into photo editing with no prior knowledge. Watching alongside with a notebook has helped me capture so much good (and free!) advice in under an hour. You sir are a saint. Easiest like and subscribe of my life. Have a good one!
This is the perfect intro to Lightroom Classic tutorial! Clear, quick, and comprehensive. Thank you for taking the time to make & share this with everyone!
One of the best videos I have watched on Lightroom. Many areas that I was unsure of, you touched upon, that Others have not. Thanks! I finally have a better understanding of Lightroom 2024 in its entirety, especially for beginners. It has been very useful. Looking forward to other tutorials.
This intro to Lightroom Classic has been really, really useful. There are a couple of points I will play again but for going from a bit lost to knowing what things do it’s spot on. Thanks Zac
Great tutorial for getting a complete overview of Lightroom! clear, concise and very effective. Thank you for making this guide so people like me who just started in photography can follow along easily.
Thank you for a very educational tutorial. I learned a LOT! I've been exclusively using PS for years and I'm trying to up my game. You've definitely helped!
Even tho I mostly know about everything in the video I still watched it whole thru! You teach good, its so easy to follow you and listen to you. Keep the good work :)
Totally well done. Especially the tip at the beginning to slow down the speech delivery setting by Zac...then I could follow you and learned and enjoyed it. Excellent!
I'm taking a beginner photography course soon that uses Lightroom. This was super helpful! I really feel like I got a solid intro to the app. Thank you!
Zac , u really have my respect 🙏 I’m a beginner photographer and this video was really informative for me and my startup . Thanks a lot for sharing always top content 💯🫡
I am so glad I stumbled upon your channel! This run through is just what I needed. I have never used Lightroom, but definitely going to start playing around in there. I had no idea you could do so much inside it.
Thanks, Zac, great course! I took another one and they were all over the place but didn't explain the hows and the whys. You did, which was super helpful. I know you had a quick bit about saving to Photoshop and back to Lightroom, would be great for a video of how you use Lightroom and Photoshop together if you do.... Thanks again!
Kindly talk about presets like how to save your own settings on presets and after editing one photo instead of editing them one by one let's say they are like 10 of them photos how one should copy and paste the remaining 9 photos. Thanks❤
Been away from editing for a while but I hate not having the tools to edit raws. My computer was working very slow (hopefully fixed it now) but we will try it today
Thanks so much Zac! Just loaded LRC a few days ago as was able to follow along with you with multiple pauses in the video. One question for you. When exporting, do you ever use the Output Sharpening? My issue with other editing softwares, used in the past, was that Facebook would degrade the photo when uploading it. That has always been a frustrating point with me. Thanks again!
Hey Zac, i just checked out your photography course- any chance you might do a videography course or can recommend one? Happy New Year! Wishing you a great 2024 🫶
@@Watzac Honestly, I'm a beginner and there is so much information out there but I'd love to have it all in the one spot- equipment, lighting, settings, different shots etc how to create your story... I hope this makes sense!
In the beginning it was boring because I already knew most of the stuff but in the end it became exciting. I love how you managed to compress so much info in less than one hour
Hey Zac happy new year!! Can you tell me the difference between lightroom and lightroom classic? I personally use lightroom...i prefer the interface, I used few time the classic version but to be honest I didn't get the differences.. 😅
What's up man! Happy new year! Lightrooom is a little limited compared to classic in features but you get the cloud on lightroom and it syncs to your phone. Maybe I should do a walk through of lightroom?
Whats the difference between importing photos to the drive through lightroom as opposed to importing them directly to the drive through an sd card reader or something else?
HELLO! Thanks for your video! I am a brand new user. I actually haven,t yet edit a picture with Lightroom! In February 2025, I have my first photo exhibit. I take all my pictures with my iPhone. Now I have a 15 one, before an 11, before that.. I forgot! But I have had tons of pictures since 2010. What advice could you give me to chose which photo I can print for my exhibit ? Thank you!
When I go into the develop tab I can't get the menu options such as Histogram, crop, or colour or anything in that bar? I did have it previously but must have pressed something and it has disappeared. Can you help me please
So I'm brand new to LR and I do not see any of these Library Develop Map Book headings at all when I open up Lightroom. They are simply not there?!? I'm lost.
When I right click on the photo, only the "Remove from Collection" option appears. When you click on the "Photo" section in the menu above, the options "Remove from Collection", "Remove Selected Photo From Collection", "Remove Photo From Catalog" and "Delete Rejected Photos" appear. I cannot delete photos from Disk.
Interesting but I find so many LR tutorials to be over complicated. I just use LR to edit my RAW photos, then export as jpegs to a folder on my hard drive.
I have a qick question . i already using LC clasic for more than a year . But i started with the wrong worklflow. My photos are all over different HDD and External HDD .. Now can i just start all over and begin with a new fresh one ? and whats the best thing to do? I bought a NAS a few days ago and i just want to use that for backup. And i want to have al my photos on my 8tb hdd that i bought .If someone understand what i am writing please give me tips ! thank you 👌
I have a question, i down load LRC on ny hp laptop and i can'T open it somebody knows why, its says "the app you are trying to install isnt a microsoft veryfied app"
Lightroom interface is the most complicated user unfriendly software on earth, why is it so complicated? just trying to add all photos from subfolders and it's like making separate libraries and crap
there is nothing about actually getting files from the HDD into LR - why can't he start with a brand new catalog, and show how to search the drive and find the images? The video shows photos already appearing in LR. . how did that happen. . . .this is not appear to be a beginners video. . .
That is exactly what I need. I just installed Lightroom today. Can you point me in the right direction? I want to set up my catalog correctly the first time.
@@Chiela85 he shows the button. . and then waves the courser around???. . .NO direction to search your drives or cards, NO naming convention, NO catalog hints. . . This is a Lightroom tutorial. He shows exactly how to do everything from within the confines of Lightroom. It sounds like you are looking for a tutorial on how to use your computer. This is not that video.
This is way to fast for me as a beginner to follow, half the time I cannot see what his curser is clicking on, he talks to quickly. Sad really as he certainly knows what he's talking about.
I'm trying to understand Light room but I'm having a difficult time with all these utubers. Start with explaining catalogs library's and files. 1 minute into these vids your developing. File manipulation and nomaclature are the least intuitive parts of the program. We can all move slider around and see the results. Please explain on a more basic level. You move too fast for a beginner

btw - was the photo shot/imported as RAW? I'd guess so, but it wasn't specifically stated whether LR has all of those controls regardless of filetype.

Does your presets work on LRC or just for LR
So I'm brand new to LR and I do not see any of these Library Develop Map Book headings at all when I open up Lightroom. They are simply not there?!? I'm lost.
But if Lightroom will not import in the first place - it says importing files (from card reader) but nothing happens?
