NFL is rigged sports are rigged. Brady’s dad is a billionaire and Brady is an orchestrated planned character not an “underdog”. Wilson got paid handsomely for throwing game just like Matt Ryan did
Once workaholic Russ became Red Carpet Russ it was beginning of the end. I loved watching him first 5 years but I always thought once his legs go he will be below average.
I can agree with that and it’s so telling because he doesn’t throw it over the middle for quick completions or yards. That told me his reads weren’t getting done.
@@jayo2654 In 2024? I'll be surprised if his numbers are in the top 20 of all QBs. He may not even start actually. Or could play so bad they bench him to play Fields. See what Fields actually has, as he could be there a few years.
Exactly. The horse collar tackle by the 9ers triggered the decline in his legs. The lack of leadership, camaraderie, and accountability in the locker room tore the team apart, and the payday made his head too big for his shoulders.
It was all for the credit. Pete and/or higher ups wanted Russ to get the credit for the win and not Marshawn. It's disgusting that politics cost the team a championship. What a disgrace.
As a huge Steeler fan i pray that everything goes well for our team! Russell is doing a good job so far and is working well with the other players especially Justin. ❤❤❤
Maybe it’s because I’m from the UK, but it seems as if Russell is from a rather sheltered middle class family playing with rough boys and neither of whom understand each other. Coaches like Pete Carrol could see the issue and instead of trying to toughen Russ to harsh criticism, they tried to shield it from him and inadvertently created a two-tier system…
That makes sense to me. As a teacher, you find the best way to teach the student. Russell Wilson's background called for a different style of leadership. Too bad, we live in a society that does not make room for people different from ourselves. I hope the Steeler franchise shows the NFL how to do it! By the way, I like Pete C. You cannot define a person's legacy by one decision.
Maybe but what he supposed to do, let practice go full contact with free game at the starting QB? No coach has ever had a career letting their starting QB get hurt in practice
Boom! perfect, and its funny the hypocrisy..... all these struggling por athletes that talk shit about Russ coming from a healthy upbringing with opportunities are now loaded and their kids will be raised in a upper class upbringing with opportunities. Just call Russ what he is, a cornball, non hood, weirdo, competitor, self promotor, intelligent, leader, Christian, good guy. The need to prove himself as greater than the team, was his downfall.
Russell is a carnal Christian at best. I feel like he could be less prideful and full of himself. He had no compassion for his team but elevated himself until he got canned by Denver

Awkward public persona and lockeroom drama aside, Russell Wilson genuinely was a great QB. One bad season with the Broncos, and a couple more only slightly above average. This video left out a very telling story about Russ' time in Denver. The Broncos and Rams played in a Christmas Day game in Russ' first season in Denver. He was getting killed by the Rams d-line. It's customary for the o-lineman to help up the QB after he gets knocked down. But none of the Broncos o-lineman helped Russ get up in this game when he got hit. While the offense was on the sideline Russ told the Broncos backup QB to tell the o-lineman to help him up when he gets knocked down. The backup QB did as Russ asked and told the lineman that they need to pick up Russ, right after he said that o-linemen started pushing the backup QB which resulted in a fight on the sidelines.
Where did you see that Russ told Rypien to say something to the O-line? That hasn't been reported by any Broncos related sources that I'm familiar with
Look I wasn't there, but doesn't take a whole lot of convincing for me to believe every single word of it. The entire Broncos organization (players, coaches, ownership) was absolutely done with his nonsense. Takes some crazy bad blood for a team to say "Take your $39m and get lost. We will take our chances on WHOEVER we can get in the draft then have you spend another day here"
@@loudnoises5372Come on bro, everybody knows that the main reason Russ isn't in Denver anymore is because Sean got his ego hurt because Russ wouldn't change his contract
The hate for Russ is kind of crazzy. Hes not a bad dude. He just out aged his play style. Short, immobile, successful QB's can be counted on 1 finger. Drew Breese, thats about it.
Broncos fans started talking so much shit to us the second the trade went through. "Seahawks are the worst franchise," "they are going to win two game," blah blah blah. It was glorious watching them cry. They were booing him by week 2, maybe three.😂😂
Broncos fans Got What they Deserved. They were ignorant and Belligerent when people tried to tell them, Wilson's team mates including his own receivers, Didn't Like Him.
Remember when he tried to get the owner/front office to choose him and Sean Payton over Pete? He ultimately got the pairing he personally wanted, and it fucking blew up in his face spectacularly.
Yep Packer fans are doing the same to us Jet fans over Rodgers last year all I heard from them was how Rodgers cried for a huge paycheck instead of helping team capitol yet Jordan Love just did the same thing only after a half of a hood season an two game playoff run that ended in a pick an bad decision by Love an now they’re all quiet wishing Rodgers to get injured again… Rodgers asked for that money years after being a HOF qb for them when they told him they needed the money they year before to pay players just to let davante Adams go so than Rodgers requested a trade to the broncos or a new contracts an since Russ went to the broncos he couldn’t go with Hackett so he asked for his fair share of money which is crazy that’s why Packer fans hated him esp bc Love did it just now except didn’t even give them the option to pay other players he just held out for a big contract
People called us classless for booing him, but they don't understand why. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady left their teams on mostly good terms. It was understood that it was a business decision. Even if it wasn't good terms, those players never badmouthed their old team or their old city. Heck, Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas left Seattle on less than good terms and even had some things to say about Pete Carroll, but they still said great things about the city. Russ went to the Broncos and spoke to the Denver media saying that he wanted to go to "a team and a city that wants to win and knows how to win". BRUH! How dare you? The only reason you ever won a Super Bowl is because the Legion of Boom totally shut out your opponent. Show some gratitude. Of course we booed him.
@@jimmylowe1233 it's hard to build a team around a "franchise QB" you have to pay $83m to who isn't even good enough to make the team. How Paton wasn't fired is beyond me...
Russ also wanted Pete replaced with Sean Payton who later talked down on him to the media, benched him the last few games to force him to cancel his injury guarantees then unceremoniously released him. Real life Greek Allegory type ish.
You have the entire story twisted! The Broncos approached Russ at the bye week and asked Russ to defer his injury guarantee for a year n exchange for keeping him for the 2024 season and guaranteeing his 2025 salary. You only ask a player to defer an injury guarantee if you’re trying to eliminate the risk of aging that player double-salary, and you only do that if you want to keep him. Russ refused because Payton had been treating him like garbage and losing games on purpose! They wanted to keep Russ. Russ wanted out of Denver. I agree with a pass on that down to maximize all 4 downs, but not a quick pass over the middle. Should have been a quick rollout and throw it out of the endzone if its not there. The quick pass is all timing and it turned out Browner and the Pats had practiced against that specific play. Browner disrupts the rub by Kearse and Lockette can't get to where he needed to be. Deflection and interception. Against the stacked LOS, running Shawn up there is not great and then the clock is running and you have to make a quick play call if you don't get in. What I think really should have happened is instead of taking a timeout to talk about it, you just lineup with who you have on the field and pound it with the Beast. That way NE doesn't get their goal line defense in.
Randy Gregory was a customer of mine. He was super cool and spoke with us candidly. He told that he hadn’t spoken to Russ once. They were already 5 games into the season that year. Randy said, Russ would just pass by guys and wouldn’t speak to them.
So what did he do insult them or even better yet did those guys say hi and he ignore them. Alainorozco, Randy Gregory statement makes him look bad not just Russ. If Russ passed him and not say anything, he Randy could turn and say, " Good morning or afternoon my dude we are teammates you can say hi or something. " If Randy didn't do that he's just as guilty. It's not a law you have to say hi to your co- worker. Get out of here with that story dude. What happens in the locker or in the facilities stay there. Snitching in this case is not acceptable.

Told us his knee and back were jacked up and was already thinking about retirement. I asked him what his thoughts on Kyle Juszczyk? He said, “fuck that guy!” LOL I’m a Niner fan. I asked him that because I knew from another player, how he felt about Kyle. Clearly Russ took what he learned from Seattle and continued that in Denver. Kept to himself and didn’t endear himself with his teammates.
Without that blown last call in the SB against the Pats, Russ would have had a mini dynasty and would be seen better. How do you not just hand it to Beast Mode?!
@@jasonaller2719 Yours is an unbelievably unlikely positioned to take. This unbelievably horrible play call is the stuff of legend... No way Pete Carroll takes responsibility for that if Wilson was actually the one who changed the call in the huddle. No way Wilson comes back the next season with Seattle.
Simple, Carroll called the play, and Carroll was the football genius who has won a national championship with USC, and a Super Bowl with the Seahawks… Hard to question someone with that resume… 🤔
When Russ first played for the Broncos, you could feel the crowd all realize at the same time this was a mistake, I've never experienced anything like it, a home game where everyone was, like oh fuck, this is bad
The problem with Russ was that he was never "one of the guys." He was treated as such and couldn't relate to his teammates and didn't try to relate to them. Another problem is that Russ is mobile, on the run, sideline passer. He was king of breaking out of the pocket and hitting the big play. The only problem is that you can only do that for so long and your athleticism will wear down to the point where you aren't making those defensive ends and linebackers miss. Russ also failed to develop his skills throwing from the pocket and timing. This is what drove Sean Payton nuts because Payton's scheme is all about timing your throws and Wilson's greatest strength was going off script and making broken plays successful. It was honestly a match made in hell. Drew Brees and Russell Wilson were similar in size, but played the position completely different. I also heard that Wilson refused to wear an armband with plays as well. Ultimately, Russ's self promotion, corny antics (high kneeing on the plane ride to London), preferential treatment and declining abilities are the reasons why he is disliked.
Russ could throw with timing. You need to watch some of his games from Seattle. He was definitely doing it in 2018-2020, his best seasons. Brian Schottenheimer, Andrew Luck’s old O.C. in Indianapolis, was Russ’s coordinator from 2018 to 2020, and Russ never looked better, more explosive, or more efficient than he did under Schotty, and that playbook was reportedly very complex. Sean Payton sold y’all a bunch of lies to cover up for the fact that was trying to tank. He only stopped because the NFL league office and the NFLPA started looking up the Broncos’ skirt for making an illegal threat to Russ at the bye week. Look up Seahawks vs. Steelers 2019. It’s a 2-minute, 44 second video. Watch it and tell me Russ couldn’t throw from the pocket, throw over the midfield, or throw with timing. He could do all three! At one point (2012-2017), his passer rating was higher from the pocket than outside of it. It might still be that way. He began using the pocket more as he got older.
There’s no question that Russ has made his share of mistakes, but too many lies or misinterpreted stories are out there. There’s too much negative spin going on, and it’s not all Russ’s fault. I’ve said this from the beginning: the LoB and any of Russ’s other teammates who spoke negatively about Russ outside of the locker room are unworthy of respect! If the front office and via Jing staff were favoring Russ, their beef wasn’t with Russ. Their beef was with the front office and coaching staff! Furthermore, athletes are supposed to follow code: “What happens in the locker room stays in the locker room.” Those Seahawks who turned on Russ or spoke against him violated that code! For that, they are unworthy of respect. We know way more about Russ than we should. Do you think every defensive player over Terrry Bradshaw, Joe Montana, Bart Starr, Tom Brady, or Aaron Rodgers?! I can tell you with confidence that none of them were liked by everyone, and a good number probably weren’t as well-liked as you might assume. We aren’t supposed to know about these political situations that occurs with the teams. The “LoB” stands for another type of “Legion,” Imo. The only reason he didn’t win the first 2022 matchup, singlehandedly I might add, is because former Seahawks teammate (and later Broncos teammate) Frank Clark pancaked him when he was about to score the game-winning TD. Andy Reid has no answer for Russ, and Mahomes sh!ts yellow runny stuff when Russ is on the other sideline. 😂 That’s that yellow stain you see in his pants matching the Chiefs’ uniform. Regarding Russ not being “hood”. That’s not the issue with teammates relating to Russ. From the countless stories, interviews, podcasts from teammates and former teammates… the overwhelming takeaway I get is he’s disingenuous. “Hood” dudes have remarkable way of accepting/ interacting with non hood dudes… if that person is genuine and honest about who they are. One thing that “Hood” dudes despise is that of someone who is “two faced” ~ disingenuous. I would imagine, also through vicarious experiences that an offensive lineman with midwestern roots, and values “think and carry themselves accountable in that same manner “ At the end of the day, despite various cultural differences, race, social upbringing, grown men respect self accountability. He could be a cornball, non hood, black man, and be accepted… and not be “fake”. Russell Wilson for all the options offered has a fake personality. Rubs many the wrong way. Russell Wilson was a good-great game manager and playmaker early in his career, with a great deep ball. If not for that legendary defense, that ushered NFL defenses into the modern era on ways to defend the pass. He put up good numbers just last season. For the majority of his career he’s been above average… Unfortunately as he’s aged his play making abilities have fallen off, and while he still can throw it, has glaring flares handicap him. His reluctance, nearly non existent ability to throw over the middle, His tendency to lock onto a receiver, can prove to be problematic
Once Wilson asked for big money, Seattle couldn't afford the talent needed to support Wilson. Once Seattle lost their star defense and their beast RB, it was over.

Maybe it’s because I’m from the UK, but it seems as if Russell is from a rather sheltered middle class family playing with rough boys and neither of whom understand each other.

Against the stacked LOS, running Shawn up there is not great and then the clock is running and you have to make a quick play call if you don't get in.

I'll bet that Russ is on the Spectrum. Therefore an inspiration.
Idk. I'd bet he just doesn't like kicking it with the guys on the team who would be criminals if not for football
Furthermore, athletes are supposed to follow code: “What happens in the locker room stays in the locker room.”
Those Seahawks who turned on Russ or spoke against him violated that code!

Idk why! Russ owns Mahomes. They have matched up 5 times, and Russ has outperformed Mahomes in 4 of those contests.
If his Broncos team had been better, he would be 5-0 against you. He should’ve won both 2022 contests against the Chiefs anyway.
The only reason he didn’t win the first 2022 matchup, singlehandedly I might add, is because former Seahawks teammate (and later Broncos teammate) Frank Clark pancaked him when he was about to score the game-winning TD.

Russell Wilson was a good-great game manager and playmaker early in his career, with a great deep ball.
If not for that legendary defense, that ushered NFL defenses into the modern era on ways to defend the pass.
He put up good numbers just last season.
For the majority of his career he’s been above average…
Unfortunately as he’s aged his play making abilities have fallen off, and while he still can throw it, has glaring flares handicap him.
His reluctance, nearly non existent ability to throw over the middle,
His tendency to lock onto a receiver, can prove to be problematic
