@dcreams We don't need his side of the story. Do you think Marshawn just made this up. Plenty of other guys from that team have the same story. Russell thought he was better then everybody. What could he possibly say to justify any of that behavior.
Marshawn is a beast! Love that he keeps it real and gives us enough insight on the situation but is mature enough not to get super into it. This guy has class.
Marshawn is the Truth!! His intentions and motives were and is still grounded in love and care for family, teammates, friends and the community. Thank you Marshawn for being YOU👏👏👏
That don't make sense. Who called who from a blocked number? Did Russ call him on a blocked number, and if so then didn't Lynch block that number? Or was it just a private number.
Marshawn man… he’s hands down my favorite Seahawk of all time! #24 was truly the heart and soul of that offense and LOB followed through it all with him.
@brianwilliams1358 He was only ever held accountable by Sherm and his other teammates. Pete pampered him like a baby, and was obviously trying to make him the face of the NFL.
@@brianwilliams1358 A QB not being held to the same standard as everyone else will make any lockeroom harbor resentment and inevitably cause a rift, especially one that had a once in a generation talent (quite literally one of the greatest defenses to ever play the game) and a hall of fame caliber running back. Russell literally tried to undermine Pete Carroll and John Schneider by getting them both fired, his ego outgrew the team very quickly after his rookie contract. Go watch his old press conferences and compare them to post 2018, he literally didn't talk about winning and putting the team first and foremost nearly as much as he used to. He only cared about his stats and the narratives surrounding his legacy, more so than he did about the culture of the team.
What it sounds like is that Pete knew Russ was FRAGILE and criticism from such dominate forces like that legion of boom and Marshawn would eat his confidence and Russ wouldn’t respond well, to where the result would be a QB playing every Sunday unsure of himself making mistakes because he’s in his own head… instead he went out and with confidence led them to a SB win
It's times like these you can tell Marshawn actually did go to class at Berkeley. Not just an athlete but he showed leadership with how he reached out to Rus. Such a shame how everything turned out. Glad Marshawn is talking about it!
I see what marshawn trying to say about the response. I had those same responses when I tried to tell my “bros” a vision I had. Russ wasn’t feeling lynch and lynch love. I’m with Marshawn on everything💪🏾
😆 Russell was just anti-social with his teammates because he’s weird and thinks he’s better than. Marshawn was expecting some reciprocation after telling Russ he had his back. Not sure that’s comparable to you telling people you hallucinated.
As a Cardinals fan, I’ve always had mad respect for Marshawn and those Seahawks teams in the mid 2010s. Once the Cardinals got somewhat decent, those were some absolute battles between Seattle. I still got mad respect for Beast Mode tho
Yeah, but Shannon Sharpe is kind of bias because he attacked certain players for no reason and have a lot of disgusting him like skipped me doing, he does it with Tom Brady, he did it with Rogers, he does it with Russ. He doesn't with Kyrie, I think it's kind of weird, sometimes like if you don't know, the man personally is still to this moment dey even try to know the man have some type of evaluation of what kind of character a person has that you never met from other people's mouths, show me how gullible you really are
It's crazy how simple things can be, but ppl often over complicate it/stir stupid ish up,... which leads to a breakdowns of what could of been greatness. Lynch be articulating in a way of keeping it real while also trying to be amicable. Much respect man 💯👌
It all makes sense. Beast mode explanations make me believe Pete treated Russ like his child and showed favoritism. He wanted Russ to get the glory in the Super Bowl by throwing a game winning TD.
@@RADAH504yes and no. From a team end of it would you rather have your funny acting RB be on the podium after a SB win or Your team captain who's gonna play the game and say the right stuff? I get it from the coaches standpoint but everyone in the world knew where that ball should've went
This is nonsense. Stop with the conspiracy and making it truth. If they did not want Marshawn to score they would not have given him the ball on 1st down. He almost scored on that. They wanted to win and they thought a pass was the best choice on that play and under the game situation. Stop it.
Russell didn’t want to be affiliated with Marshawn because of his personality and persona. Marshawn has always been Marshawn. That’s your teammate. Makes no sense why he didn’t give him the ball in the Super Bowl.
I got the gist of that just based on the character that Russell is and if you just listened to Marshawn talk you know instantly that they never really clicked.
I'll never forget I was at a hotel Gala and the Raiders were staying there and Marshawn came down in regular clothes and was all in the party acting like a regular person. I said this dude going to be himself no matter what. 😂
Ran into Marshawn at a club in Vegas and he was walking by and he was trying to get past me and bumped into me and I’m telling you I couldn’t imagine trying to tackle that man lmao
And how exactly do you know what Russ is thinking? Yall hear one thing and form unsolicited opinions! Going by that logic there shouldn't be any trials in court......if you're accused then you're guilty huh
That look he gave Unc when he asked him about hanging out with Russ says everything. From the jump to the Patriots loss when they didn't give him the ball.
Seahawk fan here, in Arizona that horrible night. We deserved every bit of that, deserved the team breaking up, etc. When you do something like that, you deserve what follows. You disrespected your own team and the game with that call. I was screaming when I saw the formation. Could not believe it.
I was just thinking the same exact thing! Sherm would go scorched earth when asked about Russell Wilson, and he never gave a real explanation as to why. Now all this info about Wilson's behavior has been coming out since last year. I use to always feel like they were picking on the guy. But he's got alot of nerve treating his teammates like that. Worst case scenario, just don't pickup when someone calls or text. But to say that none of your teammates can have your number. C'mon bruh, not cool
I’m from Seattle and it’s safe to say that the locals love marshawn and don’t care anywhere near as much for Russ. I never heard someone saying they hope lynch played worse when he left, can’t say that for Russ

Already respected Marshawn but he’s probably one of my favorite athletes now after hearing his approach, seeing his demeanor, honesty, even backing someone he didn’t have a great relationship with… made me a better guy listening to him
That look Marshawn gives him at 1:19 😂😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 like did you not hear me??
Russell is exactly who we thought he was.
A GOOFY!
Really? Did you hear Russell side of the story?
@@dcreamsthey don’t want Russell’s side
Russel's story vs everybody else. Do we believe everybody else?
@dcreams We don't need his side of the story. Do you think Marshawn just made this up. Plenty of other guys from that team have the same story. Russell thought he was better then everybody. What could he possibly say to justify any of that behavior.
Marshawn is a beast! Love that he keeps it real and gives us enough insight on the situation but is mature enough not to get super into it. This guy has class.

That's wild calling from a blocked number
That would have been the first sign to me. What kind of teammate is that? 😂
Like Russ knew he was blocked
@@abrahamoluwagbenga9807nah. Russ basically *67 his number so it wouldn’t show up on marshawns phone. So marshawn couldn’t contact him again.
Why is that wild
That don't make sense. Who called who from a blocked number? Did Russ call him on a blocked number, and if so then didn't Lynch block that number? Or was it just a private number.

Marshawn man… he’s hands down my favorite Seahawk of all time! #24 was truly the heart and soul of that offense and LOB followed through it all with him.
Always f*cked w/BEAST MODE! Love him or hate him-Dude is 💯 percent honest, he NEVER bashed(s) Russ publicly & has always supported him publicly 💪🏽
Lynch's reaction to Sharp's question at 1:10 is priceless!
Not holding one guy accountable, when everyone else is doesn't work.
Russell Wilson was held accountable. That locker room wanted Russell to be embarrassed publicly.
@@brianwilliams1358how do you know? Were you in the locker room with the Seahawks and Marshawn Lynch?
It's times like these you can tell Marshawn actually did go to class at Berkeley. Not just an athlete but he showed leadership with how he reached out to Rus. Such a shame how everything turned out. Glad Marshawn is talking about it!
@K1Kamikaze he's a smart guy and a deep thinker is really all I was trying to say.
The only thing Berkeley is known for is radical left wingers.
Yeah that's just who he is at his core.
I think this is just MLs personality. Dont think him going to Berkeley affected this...
Who wouldn’t wanna be friends with Marshawn he seems like a guy you’d give ur all for…..
I think marshawn would be a loyal friend and would do the same. That’s vibe I get off him anyway
He is the realest and no fake ish in him
To me 3:30 is the best clip.

"I got a call from a blocked number"
"That's him"
As a Cardinals fan, I’ve always had mad respect for Marshawn and those Seahawks teams in the mid 2010s. Once the Cardinals got somewhat decent, those were some absolute battles between Seattle. I still got mad respect for Beast Mode tho
NFC West was amazing back then

Yea you right
Yeah, but Shannon Sharpe is kind of bias because he attacked certain players for no reason and have a lot of disgusting him like skipped me doing, he does it with Tom Brady, he did it with Rogers, he does it with Russ. He doesn't with Kyrie, I think it's kind of weird, sometimes like if you don't know, the man personally is still to this moment dey even try to know the man have some type of evaluation of what kind of character a person has that you never met from other people's mouths, show me how gullible you really are

I’m not a Seattle or raiders fan but I’ve always been a Marshall Lynch fan since he was drafted by the bills. Shame he retired.
Marshawn is pretty good, too.
It all makes sense. Beast mode explanations make me believe Pete treated Russ like his child and showed favoritism. He wanted Russ to get the glory in the Super Bowl by throwing a game winning TD.
Facts why not let Beast mode get hi ,hine tf waz wrong with them. That's why Russel never won nothing else and trash
@@RADAH504yes and no. From a team end of it would you rather have your funny acting RB be on the podium after a SB win or Your team captain who's gonna play the game and say the right stuff? I get it from the coaches standpoint but everyone in the world knew where that ball should've went
Risking the likely hood of a Super Bowl Championship, by choosing the guy to with good PR skills to win the game deserves to be a lost.
This is nonsense. Stop with the conspiracy and making it truth. If they did not want Marshawn to score they would not have given him the ball on 1st down. He almost scored on that. They wanted to win and they thought a pass was the best choice on that play and under the game situation. Stop it.
None of it makes sense
Russell didn’t want to be affiliated with Marshawn because of his personality and persona. Marshawn has always been Marshawn. That’s your teammate.

@leroyjohnson7328 we all know what Russ is. An a ego maniac
The look Marshawn gave unc when he asked "yall never kicked it like that ?" Sent me.
Having had the honor of watching the Bills drafting this man and seeing his Rookie season… Marshawn is one of my favorite all time NFL players.
Marshawn lynch > Adrian Peterson
That look he gave Unc when he asked him about hanging out with Russ says everything. From the jump to the Patriots loss when they didn't give him the ball.
God I wish Marshawn Lynch could have just played football forever, my favorite running back of all time.
Seahawk fan here, in Arizona that horrible night. We deserved every bit of that, deserved the team breaking up, etc. When you do something like that, you deserve what follows. You disrespected your own team and the game with that call. I was screaming when I saw the formation. Could not believe it.
When Richard said it we thought he was just being crazy and a hater, but now hearing Marshawn talk it’s true how Russ was acting
So Russ was a cornball con artist, that thought he was a Hollywood star? Turns out he’s not worth 2 cents as a player
I’m from Seattle and it’s safe to say that the locals love marshawn and don’t care anywhere near as much for Russ. I never heard someone saying they hope lynch played worse when he left, can’t say that for Russ
That laugh after unc asked him the question 😂 🤣 i know this was the pg answer 0:44
Bro if a teammate reach out for your number and you call him back from a blocked number imma assume dude is a weirdo. Especially if your th Quarterback and I'm the running back and we played together for years.
The whole interview with Marshawn is a blast. Would love to hang with this dude for a day.
Great sit down interview. Mad respect for Marshawn
Your star running back not privy to Russ's personal phone# is crazy af - makes you wonder if any other captains had Russ's contact...
BTW: Respect to Shannon, but it's evident he didn't have the acumen to get Marshawn to fully open up and expose Russ ...
Basically Russ was the queen the rest was pawns
The same as Brady's, Big Ben, Elway and Burrows bees are. It comes with the territory. I'm sure his number is probably blocked from everybody. He's stupid famous.
that's what I'm getting too, Beast didn't want to say it but we already know
Isn't that the case with the QB on every NFL team?
@Paul-vf2wl I think you *MISSED* even John Elway (QB) would hang out with his teammates. Yes QB are divas, but to alienate yourself from the team is on some weirdo essh
@@user-mg3zc7nx8p Normally I'd agree but I also think Sherman was an insane ego maniac who was responsible for a lot of the alienation.
A lot of people have blocked number or no caller ID numbers. Why wouldn’t someone at that level not have a blocked number when making outgoing calls?
So much drama on pro sports teams spills out to the media in real time. It's crazy how that team kept so much of it in the locker room and out of the media when it was happening.
