It's crazy to thnk that it took Conan almost 30 years to finally arrive at the interview format he's always wanted all while being able to do dumb, funny comedy bits at his own terms.

Very true. Earlier I didn't watch him much. Used to feel like a mix of natural and scripted. Here it feels all natural.
Is it just me, or did Conan sound a little like Joe Rogan in his speech pattern when he asked the first question.

@@PostPatriot1978 You may know a different definition of what a "gift that keeps on giving" means, but it can also mean "[a gift] that provides the recipient with endless enjoyment or a long period of usefulness." That's what that term's primary meaning has always been to me, as a native speaker.

Just finished listening to this episode of the podcast and I must say Marshawn is really a humble, witty and has comedy chops. His laid back personality is really a good fit with Conan's. It is a tandem that we didn't know we need. I hope they do more projects or even interviews. More power for Team CoCo!

Never in my life would I have thought Conan and a football star who hated talking to media would somehow have an amazing friendship, and this all started over a Mortal Kombat game many years ago.
The fact that Marshawn got in on the Ground floor of the Seattle Kracken Ownership Team shows his Business Smarts...He is set for life.....We in Seattle will never forget his contributions to the Seattle History.of Sports.
Conan's podcast is a gift to listen to. He really knows how to ask interesting questions that gets the guest going and builds really strong jokes out of it. Marshawn is so friggin funny lol
I'm a Brit who's never watched an NFL game in his life, but I really like Marshawn Lynch. He's hilarious and I hope to see more of him.

Dude it's incredible that of all people Marshawn chooses to have an interview with, it's Conan. Just an incredible thing to watch. They have a chemistry.
Marshawn is actually really funny in person. Met the dude 5 years ago in Seattle at some grocery store 😂
In high school football, as a fullback, I was on the bottom of a few of those piles. Let me tell you it is not fun. The weight can be crushing, and you can't breathe, and you get real claustrophobic. Before he started joking, you could tell how serious Marshawn was about it.
As a kid I once got both hands stuck in a wrapping paper tube. I taking that, multiplying it by my social awkwardness and adding 300 pounds on my chest.

You're right. Your telling dudes to get the "f" off me. Your talking to your middle school buddy you have not seen in awhile.
They can do serious damage to you too. I had a roommate in college who was a football player for our school and he reported if opposing players were playing dirty they’d try to gradually twist your legs in the pile and that can result in a torn ACL.

I love the flow of the uncensored conversation and people being themselves without being all uptight like in network talk shows.
Conan and Lynch were on murderville. Great show.
Lynch's was my favorite episode. I loved it when he forcefully removed the bat from the bad guy's possession. It's almost like he's done this before in real life.
A podcast in front of a small studio audience is actually genius. I just wish I could watch the full episode right here on RUclips.

Conan had always been one of the best interacting with guests. This is a nice change of pace where they can be even more authentic off of TV

Murderville sucks.
I watched the first one and somewhat enjoyed it. But I don't know any of the other guests so I didn't feel motivated to watch them. Are they as good as the Conan episode? I might watch them regardless though, since I have a massive crush on Arnett 🌝

I love the show. It's based on the UK show called Murder in Successville - it came highly recommended so definitely watch that if you haven't!

Beast Mode is awesome. I always admired his skill but I became a real fan of his when he was forced to attend all that stoopid pre-Super Bowl press crap and just kept saying, "I'm only here so I don't get fined." That was funny as hell. He was generally polite with press but I guess he just doesn't like to play their silly sound-bite game unless it's on his own terms.

In grade school football, pile-ups sucked. Kids would pinch you, pull your leg hair, poking and gouging, one kid kept a tac in his glove, another a nail file. People are crazy.
Don't remember when this happened, but some kid's father sharpened the helmet snaps to razor blade sharpness.

I love that visual of a little micro-community happening at the base of a pile of gigantic football players. Honestly, if you've watched football for a long time, you DO wonder when the ref is trying to pull things apart and it's already obvious where the ball went down it's like WHAT'S GOING ON DOWN THERE??? I can see the exaggerated cartoon version of that so easily after this haha.
I always said Mic-up every player and let it play live! Although every player is excused & immuned for anything and everything they say!

This was an absolutely fantastic episode!!!!!
I was a RB and kick returner in my younger years. 11 guys trying to obliterate you is a unique experience. If you've scored a few times they'll do little things at the bottom of the pile to ensure that doesn't happen again. From tearing off your chinstrap, untying shoes, spikes in the thigh, to full blown punches.
Normally it's fine though. After a few tiring runs it's actually kind of nice getting to lie there for a bit as you wait for the refs to get everyone off.
