Hi Janice! I'd love to have you as a guest on my new podcast, MILFs Who Pivot, where I highlight stories of women over 40 who have redesigned their lives. I love your videos by the way - have been watching them on my personal channel.
Hi Janice, I love what you said that we can rewrite our story. At 66 I thought “what’s left” but with a bit of effort and passion, you can follow your dreams and make it happen. You’ve inspired me. Merci.
This is so inspirational! I’m a 54 year old RUclipsr and decided to buy a home in France a year ago. I’m renovating my property little by little and one day I will be living in France full-time. Seeing your channel has helped me keep the faith that I too will have the life that I truly dream of. Thank you for sharing.
So inspiring! Thank you. I lived in France in my 20's. Now in my 60s, I just want to go back. I am Canadian but I am lucky to also have French citizenship (my parents are French). So I am saying to myself "Just do it" ! 😊
Great stuff! I'm "only" 52, but I was already feeling like my life was basically over (at least the fun part) and it was just gonna be taxes, aches and pains, more taxes, illness and death from here on out. You've inspired me to make my dream move to Italy happen next year, no excuses anymore!
I’m 70 years old and travelled by myself all my life. I lived in Paris for 7 years (speak French) and went back to visit every year as my Mama lived there (moved from NYC). After her death in 2012 😢, I started going back every 2-3 years. Just got back 2 days ago after spending 2 weeks in Paris and was difficult to come back. I miss Paris so much and believe that you’re so lucky to be in Paris. You made the best move, as the quality of life is much better. Thank you for your stream and bon journée ❤️
@@JaniceInFrance Would love to. I won’t be back for another two years malheureusement, but we can look forward to it. I will keep you informed. Bon journée 😊
Oh my gosh! I’ve been so worried about you! So happy to see this vlog! I am in my 50’s and I truly appreciate you and reminding us that nothing is impossible.💕✨
I'm going to be 51 in 10 days!! It's not too late for my dream to come true. Thank you for paving the way and reminding mature women who still want to dream big that they should!!
Heck no it’s not too late. You might want to check out my E book which is complementary of course on my website now many things may change by the time you get ready to come to France or Europe or wherever but it does have some other items in it, that you might find interesting.
Your vlogs gave me the inspiration to finally take the leap and purchase a French farmhouse in the Loire Valley! Hoping to close within the next few weeks! Thanks and Cheers!
@@JaniceInFrance Well, it needs a lot of work as it is 2/3 stone barn and only one livable room at this time. But, when it's a little more functional....you'll get your invite! Cheers! .
I visit France every year and Italy and the European countries nearby. I retired and planning to move to France looking for a house to buy in Bretagne near Rennes. Am going this August for a month for fun and find out the places. I speak, read and write well french. Yes, the public transportation in Europe is excellent with bullet train that goes from gare du Nord to Pancras UK in about 2 hours, simple and less stress than flying from airport. Wish me good luck 😊
I wish you the best of luck, and if you would like to receive my complimentary e-book, you can just go to my website and click the button and it’s yours lol good luck this summer
I have been going to Paris almost every year for the past 24 years. Sometimes I travel with a friend and sometimes I go alone. I was there in October 2023 and last month. Next time , I hope to meet you for coffee. 🗼☕
Love this, Janice. Especially the part about wondering what would've been possible if we had only been brave enough. We moved from the U.S. to Portugal in our late 50's and early 60's. It's been such a good decision for us. A few years ago, when we were thinking about getting older, it felt like life was getting smaller. Moving abroad has given us the same sense of wide open possibility as we had in our 20s. We were already well-traveled but it feels like there is a whole world still to discover. I love how beautifully you've shared your story.
You are absolutely gorgeous and inspiring! My husband and I are retiring early and full-time traveling abroad until we find a permanent home outside the US. We dream of France all the time just like you! Thank you for all you're doing to help us think outside the box and believe in the our dreams!
I am so inspired by you. As a single mom and full time educator for many years...I thought that was all there is. I've decided it's time to rewrite my story, as you said. Retiring and will figure out next steps. Thank you for sharing your story, Janice. You have touched our lives.
Love your new RUclips!!!! I’m living vicariously through you (from Texas 😊) I’m so happy for you that you found the courage to try something totally new and different❤
You are so clever to have found just the right person to make your journey a success!. Thanks for the download I can share it with friends who might be moving to Southern Europe.🥰
Janice, here we are late in life walking down roads we never thought we would travel. I admire you for following your dream to move to Paris, alone! I can't do what you have done but as I travel on my walk, I'm also enjoying watching you on your journey. We're amazing unique. Im so proud of you! You're inspiring me to keep pushing. Love you sis. ❤️
Yes, I realize that moving to France is not everyone’s idea of what they want to do, but what is it you want to do that you’re trying to achieve please let me know
Your words wove a beautiful tapestry of France & your new adventure. The photography was outstanding I could almost hear & smell Paris. I visited there many years ago on my European tour & fell in love with the sights, people watching & not knowing the language I enjoyed listening into conversations - it has a sing song sound. I wish you the best of luck, happiness & health
I never comment, but have followed your videos once in a while. What is so wonderful about what you do here, is that you are inspiring us all to contemplate and pursue our own journeys.
I just finished reading your publication about your move to France. Your advice to others about moving to France was excellent and your candid remarks about your experience was very insightful and helpful.
Janice this is a work of art. You stepping off the train is so glamorous. Also, I am in love with your new branding, thank you for showing us behind the scenes. I have dreamed of starting my own journey as a content creator and this has inspired me to take that step, so I'm going to reach out to Hadassah at Luxe Operandi to see if she can help me find my magic too.

You're clearly passionate about vlogging and being an influencer. I truly enjoy your storytelling. These are talents that you possess that contribute greatly to your 'total package.' I'm enjoying your channel and thanks so much for doing this!
I have seen you have been working hard on redesign of your channel. It's very well thought-out Janice. Nice and so informative to write down how to make a transition to another country. Being a teacher you have the right skill set. I'm so happy for you! You look lovely, you look content and fashion forward. You should be modeling clothing for a store as you walk around your city, great advertising for them!! Talk to the store manager or area manager if they have one. Most of your audience is women I'm sure. It would be lovely to see you in that green sweater and dress you admired. Just a thought! 😁🌹
My great grandmother was from Paris but moved to the U.K. in her late teens where my grandfather was born and raised. I have recently found long lost family still in Paris and have been invited to stay - I cannot wait to go - I live in South Wales in the U.K but dream of moving somewhere else - I am 50 next year. Your video makes me know that it is possible. - Good for you
Wow, Janice, your journey is so inspiring! Moving to France and embracing a whole new chapter at 70 is nothing short of amazing. I love how you’re showing that it’s never too late to start a new adventure. Your tips and insights are incredibly valuable for anyone thinking about making the leap. Can’t wait to dive into your ebook - I’m sure it’s packed with wisdom! Keep sharing your story, it’s a true inspiration. Ps : You look fantastic 😍

Fantastic video Janice! I signed up but I’m not sure it went through. Anyway my husband and I will also move to France, spring 2027. We have much to prepare for, such as the logistics of moving our four cats. Knowing you moved with pets is one thing that drew me to your channel and I have to rewatch your videos to gain more insights how you did that. My sister also already moved to France early 2023 so another awesome resource. Congratulations on your rebranding…it’s perfect!
@@JaniceInFrance So, I tried twice using my iPhone and it seems to create a loop. But I tried again, after your reply, on my Notebook and it worked perfectly! I am sorry if you get three registrations from me though. I really look forward to reading your eBook and learning more, and of course watching more of your videos. As I wrote, you're very inspiring and there are times when watching your video essays that it seems like you were sharing my own thoughts on life.
Been following since very early after you started your channel! Every time you post, Janice, you inspire me to try my best to inch closer to chasing my dreams, which includes experience living in the French countryside. Thank you for posting again!
Oh that does sound lovely. Please let me know your plans and if you want to you can download my e-book that might help you a little bit along your path.
Janice you are an absolute inspiration. I am 63 years of age and dream of spending 12 months living in Paris immersed in its wonderful culture. I have visited France several times, the Provence region is one of my favourite areas, though I would love to do a road trip starting from the north and travelling to the south stopping at any area that takes my fancy. Ultimately, I would love to spend 6 months of the year living in Europe during my retirement years. Let's see how I can make that happen, perhaps a house swapping arrangement with other inspirational women around the world. I live in a beautiful part of Sydney Australia, close to the ocean and also the main city centre.
Honestly I have lived in Australia and I have travelled through France if I were you I would stay in Australia the migrant problem in France is getting as bad as the UK 🇬🇧
Dear Janice, this is a wonderful video, beautiful & sensitive. I love to watch it ! I also went to your new website which is elegant and a piece of art. I am patiently waiting for booking a consultation with you in September. Lots of success, Susanne
Hello, Thank you so much for your kind words! Consultation booking is actually open now, with availability in September as July and August are sold out. janiceinfrance.com/consultation
❤ what a lovely video. I am so happy that you are gaining a community here that will benefit from your brave move and how wonderful that you share it for others to do the same.
Oh wow what a liberating thought! Especially for me when i am almost feeling suicidal due to grief after losing my father just weeks back.... I am Depressed beyond words and need to find hope.... The ability to dream again
I'm so glad to see you again. Wow, I love your branding, and your story is being told with so much detail and evokes so many feelings and delight Thank you so much for sharing and all the hard work you put in it! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much. I love it also and there’s just so much now I can do to help people and maybe give people an inside into what they might wanna do if they come here or just anything to fulfill their dreams. Yes, we both put a lot of work into it, but she really put a lot of work into it.
Hi Janice. What a remarkable journey and the chance that you took to move to strange country away from family and friends. You are incredible and I love following your journey. Cheers
Thank you so much, Janice! You truly are such an inspiration. I’m so glad to see you back. Welcome back! I was just thinking about you within the past week and waiting for your next video. How exciting! An e-book. Congratulations! 👏👍And thanks again! I hope someday I can meet you in France. Keep enjoying life and thank you for sharing with us! 🍾🎊💗 🇫🇷
I’m in 4 minutes and already subscribed (this is my first time seeing your videos). It’s not about France, per say (my goal is to move to Portugal)… it’s about you and your narration and you pursuing your DREAMS, later in life! I’m excited to watch the rest and to watch your other videos!
Happy to see you back Janice. I love 💗 to see you improving your content. You look fantastic! Please ignore negative comments and keep up the good work 👏
Janice ... you do bring an unique value to the world! Love your beauty that shines through you. You're inspiring me as a single lady nearing 50. Hadassah has done a fabulous job!
Glad to see you back here on YT! I do see your posts on FB pretty much daily but I miss seeing them here plus it's on my desktop instead of my phone. I hope someone is inspired by you & tries going out of country while they have their health.
Before making this move, I would strongly recommend hiring a relocation consultant to help you with the administrative aspects. We hired one and are still discovering things we didn't know even though we spent a great deal of time in France before moving here. We are glad we made the move to France but are now struggling with wills and estate taxation issues which were unexpected and may require a Plan B. Something else to consider is that living here is quite a bit different from vacationing here particularly as it relates to the administrative aspects. And that includes both the French and American sides...
I've just come across your channel and have to commend you for uprooting and moving to another country. I'm in my 50s and had wondered if it's too late to do the same. You've made me realise that it isn't! Thank you! 😍
Hello Janice, I miss seeing your videos. You're such an inspiration to me. I admire your courage and perseverance. I wish you much happiness and prosperity. You give me hope to fulfill my dream. God bless!❤
Bon jour Janice! You have inspired me this Sunday morning to follow in your footsteps as a solo female, senior dreaming of living abroad and recovering from a very serious illness & one year in remission. I hesitate to proceed in your journey because of the global health insurance with pre-existing cancer conditions. When I called CIGNA global they said they could not write me a policy until I was three years in remission which deterred my plans; and since then, I’ve been pretty down and out that my dreams will not come true. You are right. it is never too late for us women. All we really have is time. I was even in the process of submitting my documents early this year to a Spanish immigration attorney in Madrid until I got to the checklist item that said provide proof of health insurance for the first year and I hit this roadblock and gave up. Your colors, fashion & branding is exquisite, refined and elegant just like you. I certainly hope , I can see more of your videos and go through your detailed book on how to do the immigration process. I was thinking of Spain or Portugal; since I speak Spanish, but I am a Francophile & history & arts buff, too -- my heritage is 37% French and fell in love with Paris, seen Sabrina & Midnight in Paris in my robe tons of times too. You made me chuckle. Question: did you submit your documents to the French Consulate for your Visa by yourself or did you use an immigration French lawyer? Sadly, it is hard for seniors to retire in US and live a comfortable life without continuing to work. Could you share with us what a typical monthly budget would be to live in Paris perhaps? I believe it is pricier than living in Portugal, Spain, or southern Italy , but I am happy you are so courageous in following your dreams. I hope to do the same and see you along the way when I get to Europe. Merci beaucoup for doing this. Au revoir! 😻😻🌺🍷
Check insurance Europa assistance out of Ireland. It is only for major med because the French want to know you won’t be a problem for them if you become ill or die. But… once you get in the French health care plan they do not consider pre existing conditions.
@@JaniceInFrance Tres Bon Janice! I will check out Europa assistance and your book for further assistance. You are amazing and beautiful!! You have given me hope. Thank you SO much! 🙏😻
Well, this is the first time I've heard of this channel... And you are THE MOST fabulous! I am 56 and newly separated... And you are giving me the courage to live out my dreams. Thank you for this!
Hello Janice...so lovely to see you again, I have missed you and your inspiring vlog...Thank you so much for todays wonderful video and I can assure you that you do make a difference to women in the early Autumn and winter of their lives...I am 60 in July and retired from the NHS of 42 years and plan on a new adventure and I am being inspired and guided by you...I really look forward to seeing more of you in the near future, who knows maybe a trip to your beautiful town...God Bless you and take care my friend...Helen X 💐
Nice to see you back Janice...you look great. I admit to being confused by a few things. Maybe this was explained long ago but it seems like you had not traveled to France prior to making a decision based on movies and books etc. that this was your ideal spot. So you packed up and moved never having been there? I mean that is a risk. You feature walking around Paris...are you still living in Fountainbleau? That wall paper and paint combo is just beautiful. Place des Vosges is to me just Paris at its best. Stayed in that area once and really enjoyed it. Will you be releasing videos more regularily...i Hope soon. Sorry for all the questions but just trying to learn more about your story.
Dear Janice! You are a Wonder! I offer you my sincere respect, admiration, and affection! I absolutely love this video 'review' of your journey that led you to relocating to France! I made note of a few of the places you visited in the video and will visit them on an upcoming trip to France in December 24. Oh that does sound lovely. Please let me know your plans and if you want to you can download my e-book that might help you a little bit along your path.
So good to hear your voice again, Janice ! Thank you for the e-book.
You are so welcome!
Follow your dream!
@@michelles2299is that right? It’s a worldwide situation with so many people displaced

Oh wow what a liberating thought! Especially for me when i am almost feeling suicidal due to grief after losing my father just weeks back.... I am Depressed beyond words and need to find hope.... The ability to dream again
Yes, the ability to dream again is great, but just make sure that you’re just dreaming and not making a move too quick. Grief sucks.
I'm so glad to see you again.
Wow, I love your branding, and your story is being told with so much detail and evokes so many feelings and delight
Thank you so much for sharing and all the hard work you put in it!
Cheers

Great video. I did the same thing but started my journey in Portugal. I am now considering living in the south of France in a few years.
Oh wow a new friend
I’m in 4 minutes and already subscribed (this is my first time seeing your videos). It’s not about France, per say (my goal is to move to Portugal)… it’s about you and your narration and you pursuing your DREAMS, later in life! I’m excited to watch the rest and to watch your other videos!
Oh my goodness, you made my day! Thank you so much! Let me know how your goal is going.

Moving to Paris on a retired teacher income is a bit sketchy as Paris is quire expensive. But glad you like France.

Maybe!!!!❤
That pink coat, black blouse with gauzy sleeves, tre chic! 💜 so happy to see you again!
Thank you. The black blouse is my favorite.
Yes, I discussed the difficulty in my eBook but I do not discuss we planning and estate planning because that should be left up to an attorney
I've just come across your channel and have to commend you for uprooting and moving to another country. I'm in my 50s and had wondered if it's too late to do the same. You've made me realise that it isn't! Thank you! 😍
Absolutely not too late. You might want to download my e book to get an idea of what it is like
Janice, you're an inspiration! 🥰
Oh thank you!
Hello Janice, I miss seeing your videos. You're such an inspiration to me. I admire your courage and perseverance. I wish you much happiness and prosperity. You give me hope to fulfill my dream. God bless!❤

This is just lovely ♥️, Janice! I’m so happy for you!
Thank you, Teresa
If you download my e book I think it will help. You go through VFS global in the states to come to France. The embassy has it contracted out
@@JaniceInFrance Tres Bon Janice! I will check out Europa assistance and your book for further assistance. You are amazing and beautiful!! You have given me hope. Thank you SO much! 🙏😻

Go for it!
Welcome back! You were missed! F xx🥰
Oh thank you! You guys were also missed
Yes I traveled for 6 weeks and 5 countries to see where my heart wanted to be.
Dear Janice! You are a Wonder! I offer you my sincere respect, admiration, and affection! I absolutely love this video 'review' of your journey that led you to relocating to France! I made note of a few of the places you visited in the video and will visit them on an upcoming trip to France in December 24. Love your channel and I look forward to following you in your French Footsteps! - Jim in Orlando
Thank you, Jim and Orlando. I appreciate your kind words.
You are doing splendidly Janice. Bravo to you for embracing the possibilities fully and evolving into social media. This will help secure your financial future there in France. I hope to do the same. .. I love your wallpaper 💙 it certainly suits your style. I have signed up for the ebook and have shared my story with you. I hope you will find time to respond to me.
