Bro wtf you understand the internet so well and what we all want and need. Always delivering! I love the new guitar and we definitely need more POV videos like this!
Tim's hand independence and fretboard fluency is mindblowing. Not to mention, staying in time *while getting the pick* and switching from/to thumping-fingerstyle. Dudes on a whole other level.
This is so cool because Tim is using slap bass techniques on the low strings while finger picking the high strings. Both of those techniques are complicated enough on their own to learn. Not to mention how quickly his left hand is flying around the neck of the guitar and the notes are getting hit with flawless accuracy. A raw musician with so much passion to push the boundaries of what’s conventual. Love it!
Not quite slap bass tech but thump tech. The main difference is that he is able to get 2 notes with his thumb by using an up-stroke instead of 1 slapped note. Nonetheless, a very innovative technique with many possibilities. I would highly recommend giving it a shot.
This is genius level, codes have been cracked here. I’m pretty new to Polyphia and can honestly say I have never been impacted by music quite like this before. My brain is actually addicted to it. Downloaded latest 3 albums and pretty much locked in stank face from start to finish through each track. Thank you for the mind orgasms lads 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Know the feeling well. I only recently found out about Polyphia myself. Around Jan/Feb. Always a big music lover of many genres and the first time I heard them (Ego Death) It had the most profound effect on me. Its like every neuron in my head was lit up and electricity was flowing through my body. Recommend the older stuff too. "Inspire" and "The Most hated" are top notch. You can also get some of their stuff in HD format on HD tracks. Worth it if you have a High end system or some decent Head phones. ✌🤘
I was introduced to them about 4 years ago. I also like all different genres. Sort of drifted away from “rock” music. Polyphia reinvigorated my interest. By last 3 albums, are you including Renaissance or The Most Hated EP? Whichever you do not have, you should download also. You won’t be disappointed
@@BrianinSLCity I think The O.P. is referring to RTYWD, NLND and Renaissance. I personally have everything in multiple formats. Trying to play catch-up after coming so late to the party.
Oh. I guess I click youtube at the right hour. Reverie is literally my favorite Polyphia track. Shits amazing, really hope I can manage to play it one day. You're a legend homie.
I love how I spent 40 dollars on the official tabs just to have to come to your video and tab by ear because your official tabs don't even tab out your part, only Scott's. Pretty scuffed.
Well we all just had to wait for Tim. In all seriousness though; How amazing is it that after half a century or more this one unassuming guy who locked himself away with a single minded purpose with no backing from anywhere or anyone should reach such heights and still think of his fans and come up with this method for tutorials. He has the unique ability to look inwards and outwards. WTF? Its great though.
I'm not sure if I'm more impressed by his playing or the fact that the top strings ring clean while the lower ones are playing high gain harmonized lead
If nothing else, seeing this just makes me appreciate Scottie's parts of the songs even more than before. (not a jab at Tim. Just me finding higher appreciation for something I didn't notice much before) You boys are all doing wonderful things. Keep it up.
Yep if you watch a lot of both Scott and Tim’s individual play throughs of their songs you do begin to appreciate how they both tie in to the melody and it’s not complete without both parts. They’re both extremely talented for sure. I’ll admit Tim does have a robot-like appearance with his playing, everything’s fast and perfect, where I like Scott’s playing better, it’s smoother and more fluid, as if he doesn’t have to work hard for it. Very fun to watch both. Sorry tangent lol
@@ethanpicken6992you're good fam. Not a tangent in my eyes haha just two fellas passionate about appreciating aspects of musicians they enjoy a lot. Cheers mate!
Love seeing what the silent hero of the strumming hand is doing. Orchestra-level work doing cross-genre techniques to get so many different sounds at once!
Well lets face it we all want Tim's Guitars. Yeah The two new ones are dope as hell. I'm waiting too for both these beauties but the Oil spill may never happen. Also want the next version of the TODN which is in development.
Always love hearing the tracks separately. It's kind of hard to hear the different parts in the final song, but it's always nice to see the different riffs.

It’s funny too cause even Tim can’t play it like Rafa Rodriguez does on the Original track, sounds robotic when Tim plays it lmao
