Google really could be quicker with updating the satellite photos, as All-High's renovations were done either at the end of 2022 or very beginning of 2023. Same with the new Highmark Stadium construction not being shown on the aerial images as that construction had been going for about a year and is in the parking lots across the street from the current stadium. You're also right about the Bennett High School situation. It's now a technology school. All-High also has individual seats in the lower third of the stands, in the middle of the field. But that's exposed to the elements, and fairly low compared to field level. FC Buffalo's game stream announcers are also positioned in the crowd during matches, as well as the is main camera and the production person. But, no mention of the movie "The Natural" for All-High?
Very well done review of my city’s venues, one mistake though, Alumni Arena is not all retractable, one side of the arena has a second section above the 4 lower retractable stands and is permanent. Wish I could, post pics here showing it.
Love your channel! I am a Bills STH and Buffalo sports fan. It's my birthday, and seeing this video on my feed this morning was like receiving a gift. Keep up the great work!
I have to admit that realistic-me is fully on board with New Oh-Hai-Mark Stadium being open-air, considering how expensive construction already is and the lack of any realistic chance that the Super Bowl -- or even WrestleMania or something like that! -- coming to Buffalo. (Maybe SummerSlam.) Having said that unrealistic me always moves the Bills into a dome in Madden Franchise mode. (I'm partial to the Sphere that they've had as an option for years but actually feel like the Hybrid, the one that looks like a retractable roof but you can't actually retract it, looks more to Buffalo's speed.) But anyone who complains that they need a roof because they're losing games needs to remember one thing: if one of those lake-effect blizzards happens within two days of game day? That game's lost anyway. No opposing team (the hotels are too far away for a reasonable sort of walking distance), no game. And at least one of those games moved to Detroit needed every Bills player to be picked up by _snowmobile._ And anyway, the worst part, and I can speak from experience, is the wind. Mitigate that and the experience gets SO much better.
i know the weather is harsh in buffalo, but in my opinion domes are boring, a bit too shopping mall. soccer style with a roof over the crowd but open air above the field is much cooler. having games with sun, others in the rain or snow and others with a cool night breeze is a much more interesting experience. and it allows for true grass, which is always better than plastic fields, even when is its not in a perfect state
@@lazyboy300 I disagree with the 'always' only because I've seen some really horrible grass or even dirt fields, as well as a couple of unique situations. (The old self-proclaimed Worst High School Football Field in America and other places that just cannot get irrigation.) At the NFL level though I tend to think they can maintain a grass field, and lo and behold, the new stadium in Buffalo _is_ natural turf, so there you go. (MOST colleges, too. I heard my old high school -- on Long Island! -- went artificial though, and after getting a bunch of gravel in my face in pickup games during the school year I get why.)
Needed Canisius' basketball arena! I grew up in Ontario not far from Buffalo and its a little known fact that 75% of spectators at Buffalo Sabers games were people that wanted to take their boys to watch hockey but couldn't get tickets to the Leafs cause they are sold out for the next 30 years.

Honorable mention to the Johnnie B. Wiley Amateur Athletic Sports Pavilion, the last remaining pieces of The Rockpile, the first home of the Bills.

NBA should just have a newest professional expansion team in Buffalo, New York!🧭🧭🧭🧭🧭🧭🏟🏟🏟🏟🏟🏟🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀
Just remember this, folks. There is only ONE NFL football 🏈 team from New York. The Buffalo Bills 🦬.
I'd rephrase that to one IN New York since the Giants and Jets were both technically from NYC.
