Fun fact about the Rose Bowl: It is the only stadium to have hosted the Super Bowl & the FIFA World Cup Final (though MetLife Stadium will join it in this distinction in 2026). The Rose Bowl also hosted the 1999 Women's World Cup famously won by the USWNT in a penalty shootout.

I was about to say as a Pasadena resident people jog around the area at night, kids soccer takes place there, little league baseball around there as well. People fly RC planes when no games are happening, and a giant flea market happens there every month.
There is a freaking museum for kids and a not cheap to play golf course used for overflow parking. Police are there because it’s a big event that’s why. The Batman house is just up on the cliff and the whole area is expensive as all hell, with two private schools that overlook it plus down the arroyo a former grand hotel not US Circuit court of appeals. I mean if you’ve ever watched the rose bowl it’s freaking easy to see from the wide shots that it’s freaking gorgeous. There are “sketchy” parts of Pasadena further north and east but like far enough away that you wouldn’t come close to it. Why do you think they’ve hosted five super bowls, a World Cup, women’s World Cup, Olympics, soccer, football, concerts and other such things there with massive fan areas

As listed before along with Rugby, concerts, field hockey (that’s real), ultimate frisbee, I’m unsure if the AFL (Aussie rules) played an international contest there against the USA in exhibition but it’s highly likely they did. No air conditioning at SoFi Stadium is not a problem in February. It's a really amazing stadium with a very impressive video display system, too.
By the way, they're not going to have another Super Bowl at AT&T Stadium because its location in Arlington, TX is just *TOO FAR* from downtown Fort Worth and Dallas, respectively. Of course, it didn't help during Super Bowl Week that year, the Dallas-Fort Worth region suffered a major ice storm with extreme cold afterwards, which pretty much kiboshed all the Super Bowl Week parties.
I do think US Bank Stadium, Ford Field and Lucas Oil Stadium will host a Super Bowl again. All three have been designed so most of the Super Bowl Week corporate events can be held close to the stadium, so winter weather is way less an issue.

Except for Allegiant where I go "That's going to be a good place to host a WrestleMania next year" and US Bank where I say "I can't believe it hasn't hosted a WrestleMania yet". Tampa really did make out like a bandit during COVID though, getting the Super Bowl probably because Florida gave a lot less of a crap about the Rona than elsewhere, then getting the first 'Mania and first WWE _crowd_ with real fans in 13 months a few months later. (And the first rain delay to WrestleMania.) Jacksonville beats them out a bit though because their adjacent venue Daily's Place, being open air _enough_ for public safety's sake, had reduced-capacity real-fan crowds for AEW earlier than that. (I say 'real fan crowds' because of the stretch where both AEW in Jacksonville and NXT in Winter Park had trainee and preliminary wrestlers as the crowd... and I can't recall but I think NXT stuck with that while WWE went with the ThunderDome in Amway, then the Trop, then USF's arena, until touring started back up properly in the summer of 2021. /long_aside)

I'm a football fan and a football fan. I was hoping that the NFL would keep the grass for the stadiums that are switching for the World Cup. We all know that artificial fields are terrible for players, so why not keep the change. Also, Los Angeles nearly lost out on utilizing SoFi (which is overrated to me because it honestly lacks any soul) because of the artificial turf they currently use. Crazy to think that the heart of the city nearly lost out on hosting because of field concerns. Just make them all grass already... teams and stadiums can definitely afford it.

Hey, when that new Bills stadium is built the NFL will roll the dice on hosting a Super Bowl there like at Met Life… of course they’d have to move the Super Bowl to July. 😂

Remember this, folks. There is only ONE NFL football 🏈 team from New York. The Buffalo Bills 🦬 (they physically play in Orchard Park, New York).

Raiders fans were in for it with the SB because the Chiefs had to use the home locker room. Gotta suck being the third most popular team in Las Vegas.

I watched a Super Bowl at the Rose Bowl. I was on a wooden bench in the end zone BUT there were seat cushions provided.
Not a great experience. But I was only 14

I don’t think the area around the Rose Bowl is sketchy. The area around the LA Coliseum is sketchy

Did NRG stadium really start the Patriots dynasty though? They won their first super bowl two years prior in New Orleans and the Win at NRG was their first of a repeat. I don't think that two championships necessarily makes you a dynasty, so I would have to disagree with the way that he said it
